Description of Work: I got the Angie's deal for a sump pump checkup because ours seemed to be overly active. It was a bit strange getting on the schedule, and some of this may have been my fault, but when I called to schedule there was nothing available the next two days, so I had them come out a week later. Then, the very next day I got a call saying they had availability that day and the following day. | |A week later, two guys showed up. After seeing the pump and what it was doing they thought the main pump had gone bad and we should get an entire replacement. Installation of the new unit was quick. They gave me the Angie's Deal purchase as a credit toward the new pump. |However, they didn't secure the power and I had them come back out to secure the plug to the outlet so it wouldn't come loose again. | |I will call Thornton next time I need plumbing help.

Description of Work: I called with a leaking water heater.. asked them to come to assess if it could be fixed or needed to be replaced (I KNEW the age of the heater and suspected it needed to be replaced) They did the job that day.. I had such trust in them I also inquired about a water softener and they installed that ..completely to my specs that day also.. they were terrific!!!

Description of Work: After scheduling an appointment online, I was told that they do not serve my area. That should be made clear from the start so that people such as myself don't waste time. I had to start all over from square one after thinking I had researched, narrowed, chosen, and scheduled the company. We are in the same metropolitan area as this service provider, so it was not even a consideration that they would not serve my area.

Description of Work: They replaced lift pump and a sump pump. I was able to use a discounted coupon from Angies list. They were prompt, punctual and courteous. I used them a second time to flush out our water purification system.

Description of Work: They diagnosed issues with my toilet. I decided not to use them because it was going to be expensive to fix

Description of Work: Water heater was leaking. Thornton's came out, inspected all associated plumbing and recommended we install a pressure regulating valve to prevent transient pressure fluctuations, thereby increasing the life of a new water heater. New power vented gas water heater, pressure regulating valve, and some additional plumbing needed to bring it up "to code." Parts and labor was approx. $1900. They were able to squeeze us in same day of call. We will need to replace our water softener within the next year or so, and plan on using them for the job.

Description of Work: Nate from Thornton Plumbing replaced a sewage ejector pump. Nate determined rather quickly that the problem was the switch. He did all he could to make the old pump work but in the end had to replace the pump. Even though some companies refuse to install the homeowners equipment, Nate installed the pump I had (it was a brand new pump). The job took longer than he had anticipated, but he was determined that the pump was performing at peak level before he left.
