Thornton Plumbing came on a weekend when I had an emergency. They came and cleared out the drain and it was still sluggish and they came back and redid it the next day. I liked that they came very quickly on a weekend. The quality of work was fine. They were professional because when they didn't do it right the first time, they came back.

Prompt response to my morning voice message. Very courteous and informative; explained exactly what work needed to be performed and costs. I would Thornton again without hesitation.

The check valves were noisy. When I came across this big deal on Angies List I purchased it. I have a backup sump pump as well. So I had him replace both while he was here and paid additional $75 for the second valve. However, even after replacing the check valve it was still making the noise. The plumber told me that a the original installer did not open the weep hole and therefore the new silent check valve wasn't working silently as expected. Then he suggested making a hole in the pipe that takes the water out without taking out the entire unit which would have been an expensive job. I had no option but to proceed. The hole did fix the problem. i.e. the check vale doesn't make the thud noise anymore. However, everytime the sump pump runs the water gushes out and hits one side of the sum pit wall with great force. I am not sure what will happen in the long run due to this. And I am also not sure if indeed the original installer (many years ago) did not open the weep hole. Anyways, I am left with a sump pump that gushes water from the side of the pipe every time it runs. Even though the water is contained within the pit, it does bothers me and I am not sure if what the plumber did to fix the problem was correct or not?

He looked at it and said it was working. I did not have him change it. He checked out a toilet instead. I called him later to check the toilet and has not responded.

I was impressed with the prompness and the professionalization of Thornton. Although the original service was for an inspection, the sump pump was very old and needed replacement. The services was preformed quickly and during the same visit.

Did a sump pump tune up. However, I was not home and our cleaning lady was. Did not realize that we had 2 sump pumps to be tuned and he refused to go ahead and just do the 2nd one and charge me. Live in expensive custom home and the incidental charge was minimal but he wouldn't even wait for our cleaning lady to call me to let me give him a credit card to bill him.

Good overall I just thought $1800 plus labor for a water heater was expensive.

He wasn’t able to fix one of the problems that I had. He was upfront about it, but I wasn’t happy that the work wasn’t able to be completed.

We called the company on a Friday evening after having our water heater leaking and we were surprised that he even answered the phone that late on a Friday night. He scheduled us for next day Saturday afternoon he was very prompt and took him a little over an hour to replace our water heater. We were very pleased with how fast, responsive and smooth the whole process went. We would definitely recommend him and hire him again if needed. The price was the most reasonable we found also.

I was very satisfied. They were prompt and very professional to deal with. I liked their honesty. I had a problem that he could have repaired and he didn’t try to sell me a new heater and I had to ask for it. I asked him about the condition of our water heater and how long we owned and I wanted to know his feedback on it. I appreciated that he didn’t want to sell me something but he was trying to really solve my problems and he was honest in helping me make a decision to replace it. The price was fair.

I purchased a Big Deal offer to have the sump pump replaced at my daughter's home. I called them and scheduled an appointment. They came on time, completed the job w/o any problem. They introduced themselves on arrival and promptly went to work. They were efficient and installed the pump w/o trouble. However about a month later we found water gushing out of one of the pipes when it rained. We called, they came out the next day and cheerfully fixed the problem. They said if anything else happens to give them a call and they would come back. The pump has worked fine since then. We would use them again and are happy with the sump pump.

This was an Angie's List Special Deal for a check sump pump or replacement. We chose replacement due to the age of our previous sump pump. We called on 2/7/2012 and they came out that same day. They said they were busy the remainder of the week and we are retired so that was not a problem. There were two techs and they replaced the sump pump and check valve and were done in approximately 15 minutes and this was in a crawl space rather than a basement. They provided a 3 year warranty and 1 year on labor. Overall we couldn't ask for faster service.

Thornton investigated water leak to find that water was coming from another source. They were honest and took the time to be sure we understood. Because of their honesty and integrity we would use them in the future if need be.

Our water heater developed a significant leak late on a Friday night. I call several plumbing companies first thing on Saturday morning. Nate returned my call within 10 minutes of leaving a message. He told me that he would have to check to see if he could get the water heater from the warehouse and he would call me back. Within 30 minutes, he called and said he could and that they could be here within 2 hours. We agreed to have him do the work. He arrived a little earlier than he thought and started. Both he and his assistant, Dustin, were very courteous. They replaced the water heater, cleaned up afterwards, including scrubbing some rust from the old heater off of the concrete floor, and gave me insturctions on the operation and warranty of the new unit. Nate is a relatively young business owner, but understands customer service. Even though his business doesn't have a lot of ratings on Angies List, he does good work, was very competitive on price, and went the extra mile to help me out with a problem on a Saturday. I am very pleased and would recommend him to anyone. Thanks Nate!

They were very good and honest during my housing inpection that I hired them to replace two toilets.

They came and gave me an estimate and stuck to the same. They were excellent and I will continue to use their services in future.

I had quotes from three providers but Thornton Plumbing brought his price down considerably knowing he was competing with others. I wasn't here when they did the job, my wife was here but I heard no complaints and if there were any complaints, I'm sure she would've told me. His price was considerably lower than the other quotes I had. We did have a delay because the particular battery which I wanted was not available and that was not a problem. He arrived when he said he was going to arrive.

He arrived later than apointment was scheduled but he did call to say he was on his way. He took about 1 hour working outside and inside in the basement disconnecting and replacing both faucet bibbs on back and front of house.

Nate was very prompt. He suggested repairing the tub faucet rather than replacing it since we plan to remodel later. He cleaned up after himself. When we had to call him about a problem with the new toilet, he responded promptly and fixed the problem. He said if we had additional problems, to call and he would replace the toilet. We haven't had any other problems.
