Description of Work: I wanted to get an estimate on the installation of a backup sump pump, which we already had. They came out ontime. However immediately told me what I bought was not any good and could install their machine for 1599.00. When I asked what it would cost to install the one I bought he immediately said $500. That is extremely high for a job that should take not much more than an hour and a few pieces of pipe.

We came out and met with the customers Mother. Who was a very nice lady. She informed us, that her son "The Customer," had purchased an ACE HARDWARE battery back-up sump pump. At no time did we ever refer to her product as "No Good," we simply informed her that there were better quality, professional, reliable products available. We gave a quote on putting the customers battery back up sump pump, or installing a far superior product, at a reasonable price. We apologize if our prices were not up to your standards.

Description of Work: Sump pump began making terrible sound last night. Called Thortons plumbing at 8 AM explaining situation. Nate indicated he would put sump pump on his truck and be by at 1 PM. The sump pump was not faulty but the check valve was broken.He drove all the way to Fishers and back and replaced the valve. Our sump pump is working quieter than it ever has. I will definitely use him again.

Description of Work: I signed up for the Big Deal through Angie's List to assess the sump pump and add a valve. I phoned on 2/8 and Mr Thornton arrived on 2/8. He arrived on time, was clean and polite, he evaluated the sump pump, the back up sump pump and added valves to both plus filled the backup with distilled water as needed. We are planning to continue to use him in the future.

Description of Work: We were having problems with water pressure. I chose Thorton Plumbing because they were physically the closest plumber listed to our home. He waived the initial travel fee because of our location and was able to give us an immediate solution. He also offered a plan and an estimate for replacing some old pipes in case the problem develops again in the future. He was very prompt, professional, and honest. I would use him again.

Description of Work: Replaced bathtub and shower in one bathroom. Replaced shower in second bathroom. Did a wonderful job. Both were leaking. Very professional and very good work. Very nice to deal with. Will hire again when I need work done. He came and replaced a pipe under my house 2 years ago. Very reasonable prices and very good job.
