Nightmare: I knew it was a one room studio with no kitchen however when I arrived it was filthy: there was urine on the toilet; food and dirt in the cupboard and sink/shower and toilet were filthy; Lights were out in the bathroom also; I had two small Chihuahua's with me; Upon my departing I was entitled to my security deposit of 750.00; It took almost a month to receive this after several emails to the company's agent: Jenny Pace and George Coloney: When it did come they DEDUCTED 85.00 for 'cleaning expense' claiming it had a 'strong urine smell' This is and was untrue; They further stated urine and seeped into the 'new wooded floors' which was a total lie as these were laminate floors; My dogs always went outside; I had thoroughly cleaned and disinfected and even had my neighbor come in to check the place the morning I left to verify what condition it was being left in which was far BETTER condition than when I moved in. They DID agree to reimburse me for the cleaning expenses the day I moved in as I had to go and buy Clorox; brushes, toilet boil cleaned, light bulbs, cleanser, etc. I have since filed a complaint with the Florida Consumer Affairs Division; This is NOT about the money-It is the FACT that they basically called me a liar which is libelous, and with a witness to the place when I left who was never interviewed! Furthermore I initially was not receiving my mail as there were only 2 mailboxes and this was designated as a three unit complex. Finally a separate mailbox was installed for me: I will never utilize this group again specifically George Coloney (who never responded to my emails) Jenny Pace or Scott Coloney-the other co-owners/agents; I have an impeccable reputation and credit report and this was a total slap in the face; The address of this property is 1514 NE 5th Court Lauderdale Unit 3; it is my understanding that after I moved out they combined my one room with the adjoining unit as it was never zoned for a three unit complex and there were severe issues with the electric set up.
