Patricia arrived with her fiance, Joe for the initial contact. We had just finished putting in a staircase and had construction dust. She was very likable and brought references. I checked her out on Home Advisor and she had for the most part wonderful reviews. A few people made comments that she missed cleaning a few things but all and all good reviews. I also checked with the state and county and she is licensed and bonded. I showed them around and pointed out where other cleaning people had missed in the past. She said, "I'll tell you what, how about we come do our thing and before I leave, I'll have you go around and inspect our job." I thought her price of $125 was a little high but I thought I would give her a try. I also told her my daughter down the street also needed someone and if I was happy with her job. I specifically told her I wanted a thorough cleaning and offered to pay an extra $50.00 because of the dust. Our house is about 2400 square feet. I estimated with the 2 of them it should take at least 3 hours. She did not have to make any beds or clean the den because my husband and I cleaned it. The bathrooms were already clean but needed to be given attention anyway. They arrived about an hour before we expected them. After about 30 minutes, she announced she was done with the downstairs and we could come inspect. There was dust around the garden tub, over the doorways, the shelves and the TV set. She said she meant to do all of that but didn't know what happened. She had a little brush she was cleaning the construction dust with and just brushed it out on the floor. This made us all cough and made the dust worse, plus it got all over our beautiful new stairs. She was just going to leave it on the stairs until we pointed it out. My husband ran out to get something to eat, trying to get out of their way. When we got home they were gone. They left after only 2 hour. My kitchen and mud room mats were outside and uncleaned.. The large mat was completely soaked. She missed 2 toothpaste spots on the upstairs bathroom. I doubt seriously she cleaned the shower because nothing was wet or damp. She missed the one counter in the mud room where she had stopped me from pointing out where others had missed. My hard wood floors were filthy. Downstairs, the glass shelves that we had pointed out she missed, were never touched. She and Joe seemed to be in a great hurry the entire hour they were here before we left. They were not here for more than 2 hours. I left a check before we left just in case we were delayed. We feel ripped off. I wrote a similar review on Home Advisor at their request. They have not posted it and I doubt they will. I half expected Home Advisor to call but they have not responded in any way. I am quite sure this will be published on Angie's List.
