Tree Work By Mitch Drake & Sons

I was very impressed with Tree Work by Mitch Drake and Sons. They arrived when agreed to give an estimate and then were right on time to do the work. Mike Drake, one of the sons in the company was the head of the crew, which consisted of about 6 young men. They went right to work minutes after arriving and were very efficient. Mitch was very concerned that they trimmed the trees exactly as I wanted them. He asked me many times about various specific limbs, the shape of the canopy, etc. etc. His workers were very skilled in the trees, it was actually fun watching them work. The crew all seemed to like each other, got along well, and Mitch was clearly in charge. The clean up was excellent....they were careful to pick up every bit of debris. Excellent, very professional company! I will definitely use them again for any tree work.

After receiving three estimates for service, Mitch Drake was the lowest by several hundred dollars over one estimate and by over a thousand over the other. We decided to go with Mitch Drake. On the morning of the job, the crew showed up on time and got to work. When I expressed my backyard neighbor's concern of damaging his property, they said that they could remove a section of the fence and do all the work through our yard. I was told that even if they went through the neighbor's yard, their goal was to leave the yard exactly as they found it and there would be no trace of the crew when they were finished. As far as the actual job, they did exactly what was agreed upon for the price agreed upon. They completely removed two trees down to the ground and cut several branches off a third tree. I had asked for a large pile of fire wood to be left in the corner of the property and apparently that information did not get passed to all team members so that I was only left with a small pile of rather large logs when I reminded them that I wanted a wood pile. A real issue however was the damage left to the side yard due to the bobcat-type machine that was driven from the wood chipper on the street to the fence surrounding the backyard several times. Due to recent rain, the machine left large ruts in the side yard, tore up the grass and part of a planting area and smashed down all the grass where it drove. When I noticed the damage after the crew had left, I called and left a message. The next day, Mitch Drake himself came out and inspected the damage. I felt that he could have been more sympathetic to my concerns. He basically told me that he couldn't really do anything that would cost him any money to fix it or he wouldn't make any money off my job. He suggested stomping down on the high spots and filling in the low spots with dirt. He suggested using a pitchfork to help raise up the low spots. He also stated that *we* could rent a heavy roller ourselves to flatten out the area. He did agree to send a crew out the next week to try to do the stomping and pitchforking which did improve the look of the area somewhat. Mitch then returned to inspect the property again and promised to return in a few months if we are still not satisfied. If it weren't for the issues with the side yard being damaged, I would have rated them all A's. But because of the damage left and the hassles in getting it repaired, I have lowered my ratings to reflect that. I would just warn others to discuss any equipment being driven on the property if the ground is damp and know that there is a risk that the lawn could be damaged. This wasn?t really explained to us and we might have held off on cutting down the trees until the ground was not damp had we known.

This tree company was fantastic. They gave me a reasonable quote, were easy to schedule, and showed up ON TIME! This in and of itself is miraculous, as we have had so much work done on our new house and not a single company has showed up at the scheduled time. They safely removed the tree without doing any damage to our yard or the driveway, and they cleaned up very nicely. We will be using them again next month to trim the trees in our backyard.

They were fantastic! Whenever I would call/email I would receive responses shortly there after. I don't think I ever even left a voicemail for Mitch because he always picked up. He was able to work around my schedule to come in to review the site. We booked his services on a Friday and on the following Tuesday they were in my yard ready to go. We had several nosiy neighbors and an HOA board that disregarded that we were approved to remove these trees and approached Mitch and his team. They handled them with ease. They were upfront with any issues they saw and very reasonable pricing for all of the work that they did. We now have a safe house with no trees climbing over it, limited moss around when there used to be an infestation of them and light over our pool. Very satisfied with their services and will definitely call again. There is usually something that goes wrong or you would do different, but really with them everything worked like clockwork and no issues.

It was great! They returned my call promptly to set up a free estimate and showed up when scheduled. Although they did call to reschedule the work, they provided plenty of advance notice and were on time for the rescheduled appointment.

Excellent! The crew arrived when promised and quickly went to work. I chose them because they recommended using a crane to secure the branches over the house, and the crane operator had a great touch, maneuvering a crew member, and then the sawed branch with skill. Everyone on the crew knew what to do, and there weren't any idle moments. The crew was professional and courteous, and cleaned up everything before leaving. I definitely use them again, if need be, and highly recommend them.

Showed up 15 minutes early. Unbelievable professionalism and efficiency for a tree service. I've had 3 different tree companies in the past and not one has ever been close to this good. A crew of 6 completed the entire job in only 5 hours. Mitch (the owner) does not allow anyone to play music or take shirts off. Raked the yard, cut and stacked all the firewood I needed, cleaned off all pavement. Mike (his son, who estimated the job) asked me several times if the job had been done to my satisfaction and provided recommendations. They truly take pride in their work. If you call anyone else you're wasting your time.

Mitch came out and gave a very professional, detailed quote. Then he and the crew arrived on time and did an amazing job on our tree work. They were all hard working and polite, and careful to ensure our property was not damaged. They did a better job than we could ever have imagined! When they were done, they did an excellent job cleaning up the job site as well. I would highly recommend this company; I have no doubt they are the best tree service in North FL. Contact was made by Mitch Drake, made an appointment he came out himself. After explaining to him the work I needed done, he did a walk through of my yard and pointed out what he could and would do. He explained to me how the work would be done. I received a written estimate of the cost. When the work was completed the cost remained the same as the estimate. I am very satisfied with the work that was done It was a pleasant experience working with this company.

They did a great job! They got to the site and went to work without any issues. They were safe in everything they did. They took the time to discuss the core at hand and after a prayer, they got to task at hand. They were very professional and cleaned up and hauled everything out. They were out within a hour. Very happy with their work. This is the second time I have used them and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Once I received a scheduling call from Mitch's wife they were very prompt for the estimate and the actual work. I liked meeting with Mitch, he's professional but not overly formal. He wrote up the estimate with exactly the work to be performed and they did exactly that job. Overall they did a good job cutting the trees and grinding the stumps and a great job cleaning up. The grinder was parked in front of my house and they had to drag all the cut trees from the backyard. I'm not exaggerating when I say I could not find a single twig or leaf in my driveway or in front of my house. My wife and I were very impressed with the clean up. I thought the price was fair and appeantly they are very busy because it took a while to get a call back to schedule the visits for the estimate and the work. In fact the call to schedule the work occurred the night before they wanted to do the job. It was no problem for me because I had already told Mitch I'd be home that day. I will hire this company again and I can recommend them to friends and neighbors.

I first called to get an estimate for the services. They showed up on time as promised for the estimate. He provided helpful input on what could be done and how long it would take to get it completed. He provided a written estimate that same day. I called back a week later and set up an appointment to get the tree branches cut down and removed. The crew showed up on time. I was really impressed with the fact that everyone on the crew was nice, respectful and in a good mood. They went immediately to work and asked me to come out and inspect the area to make sure I was satisfied. I had three trees in 3 different areas of the property. Each person at each site consulted with me before taking down any branches. After they cut the branches they double checked to make sure I was happy with the look. Immediately the crew began cleaning the work area of the debris. Removing the large tree limbs and the clean up took about an hour. After they cleaned up and before they left they walked around the property with me to inspect the work area. I was very pleased with everyone on the team. I will definitely hire them again!

Amazing!!! Called, came out within 2 days to give estimate and by day 3 work was done. I was at work and the team apparently had everything done in less than 30 minutes and you wouldn't even know they were here. Thank you for such great service!!!!

Tree Works by Mitch Drake and Sons were absolutely amazing! The team worked in total synchronization with each other. Everyone knew the job and did what was needed to deliver fantastic and professional results. Careful consideration was given to safety during the entire process. Every limb was taken down with precision and care. I was most impressed by the way the team conducted themselves while removing the large trees. Once the job was complete, the clean up was thorough, taking care of the yard, replacing the fence panels that were removed for backyard access, and the roof top. My yard and home was left in better condition than before the work started. I would highly recommend them for any tree work and I will be using them again when the need arises. I could not have asked for better service, care and stellar results!!

Mitch's bid was $1500 less than a competitor. The crew arrived promptly at 8 and was done in just over an hour. They left the yard cleaner than it was when they arrived, and carried off the limbs. A very professional company. I will use them again and would recommend them to others.

This is the best tree service of there. Mr. Drake and his crew are wonderful, kind, very respectful, prompt and you can tell they all like working for Mr. Drake. Sorry Mr. Drake, I told you I would write this as soon as you pulled out of our driveway because I was so thrilled with not only the great job you and your staff did, but also with your professional standards. A few things can up like another trip to the hospital. All is well now. You came out to give me a quote the next day, which was great. Your quote was awesome. I did have others give us quotes and they were very close but there was no comparison between you and the other companies. You spent a lot of time with me discussing what I wanted done, not telling me that a third of my trees needed to go, Like the other companies did. When you and your staff arrive I was surprised to see so many workers there were. You stayed the whole time on the job making sure everything was done in a very professional manner. Also asking me how the trees looked and if I wanted any more taken off. You also showed respect by keeping the lower canopy that I wanted. Your crew was great, joking between not only themselves but with you as well, showed they truly enjoy working for you. Your clean up was amazing, leaving nothing in my yard, even little sticks were gone. thank you for a wonderful job, Will definitely call you next year to trim my citrus trees since I waited to long this year.

Mitch is very good at what he does and obviously loves it. He's willing to work with you, spending time explaining exactly what will be done and for what price. Their crew was very professional and the work was done quickly with no issues. They picked up all of the trimmings and left my yard cleaner than when they got there. I've worked with other tree services in the past and this family business is one of the best in the area.

Mitch Drake and Sons worked to ensure the four trees were removed efficiently and seamlessly. They were very careful and respectful of the trees themselves. No spike climbing was allowed on the palm trees. I also noticed them praying before they started working which made me even more comfortable with them. Anyone having to do the dangerous work that they do should say a prayer before beginning their job! Mitch was very easy to talk to before, during and after their work. They worked quickly but thoroughly leaving the site clean when they were done. I would definitely use them again for future tree work!

They charged us a fair price. The first estimate was for over $6000.00

I discovered I had a hole through one of my pine trees and realized that it would need taken down. The other tree was leaning really bad. I called the company, and they came when they said they would. Mitch gave me a good quote on both trees and I saved getting the 2 trees done, instead of 1. He explained to me very thoroughly what would take place. He let me know exactly where the 2 trees would fall and assured me nothing would damage my home. He also showed me all his licensing and bonding paperwork and I felt comfortable and let him go ahead. He brought a crew of about 5 guys or so and they got those trees down quickly. They also ground everything up and did beautiful work. I was so happy with his work and will call them again when I need anything else. Mitch is a very honest guy.

The job that they did with these three trees was remarkable. They had houses that were close to two of the trees so they had to be really careful as they were cutting down the trees and it was really amazing to watch them. They brought all their equipment to take away the great big tree trunks, to mulch them and to grind the stumps. I would hire them (and the neighbors would hire them) in an instant. They cleaned up everything incredibly well, too. Hire them! You won't regret it.
