Gene's Concrete & Paving

After hiring Gene Joles to repair my pool sidewalk in March, I experienced nothing but disappointment from this company. He and his son showed up and proceeded to bust up 1/2 the concrete with a sledge hammer' when it should've been cut out in pieces. They left and 5 days later came back to bust out and remove the rest of the concrete. Everyday after I was the one having to call to see if he'd be out to complete the job. Rain was always the excuse I was given and that they couldn't pour concrete in the rain. When he did finally show up to pour concrete, he came with a crew of 2, not including his 2 sons that sat around and watched. He showed up without the proper equipment and knew NOTHING about how to pour concrete and use the proper form board to shape the bullnose along the pools edge. They proceeded to pour concrete and the flimsy form that was used broke and concrete then poured into my pool by the gallons!! needless to say...my pool water and the bottom of my pool was ruined!!! He assured me it would be taken care of and fixed to proper condition. 1. He sent out a pool service that was so shocked at the condition they didn't want to do the job. Approximately a week later the pool co. came back out and had to vacuum 3 times and scrub with wire brushes the entire bottom with no real changes to my pool and its equipment. The concrete sediment has ruined the bottom of my pool, my lines to the pool and my vacuum that stays in my pool. I have had to replace the vacuum and all my filters have had to be replaced twice already at a cost to me of $450.00. At the end of summer I will have to drain 20.000 gallons of water and have the pool acid washed at an aprox cost of $700.00 along with the cost to refill my pool. I was patient and understand accidents happen. but, when Gene failed to keep close contact or show up to see condition of pool and concrete job. I filed with the Better Business Bureau( whom has been trying to find him due to MANY complaints) and I fired Gene's co. and will have to have the job completely redone at an aprox cost to me of $4.000.00 I DO NOT RECCOMEND ANY ONE USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON!!! It cost me $2000.00 to have my pool ruined!!
