I initially called just to ask some questions about whether my recent experience with another shop was common. After speaking to me Brian said he would love to restore my confidence in the upholstery business. I only wish I would have started with this company. Professional, prompt, and outstanding work. Confidence completely restored. Be careful who you choose to do your work in this town. Save yourself the headache and start with Brian.

 + -1 moreMr. BRIAN HOWELL UPHOLSTERY I HAD TWO QUEEN ANN WING back Chairs and two ottomans that needed to be recovered.I found Brian on Angie's List and called him and left a message and he called back within two hours.He requested photos ( which was nice to not have to travel) and I sent them.Later that afternoon he called back with a price and giving me the amount of material I needed to purchase.I purchased my material from Joanne's Fabrics.So I did purchase my own fabric.I'm not sure if he does that with everything he works on.Such as batting and cushion material.I purchased a material with stripes.Realizing later that stripes are more difficult to line up .It was perfect no problem.He promised about 3 1/2 weeks for completion and I had it back at 3 weeks .They were beautiful.I was extremely pleased.And I will definitely use him again.

 + -1 moreFrom my first conversation until the job was completed, I was very pleased with the professionalism and personal touch. My first experience with contacting an upholsterer in the area was very off-putting, so I was very relieved to find someone I felt that we could trust to be straightforward and do the job with excellence. Now that Brian Howell Upholstery has done this unusual shaped cushion well, as well as these simple cushions, I have every confidence in him to do the careful, professional work on an unusual antique chair of ours.
Description of Work: Brian assessed the condition of the foam of t he cushions in our newly inherited vintage sofa. He suggested that I did not, indeed, need new foam and recommended that I simply freshen up the cushions by putting new dacron batting around them. He provided an estimate for me as to how much the cost of the foam inserts would be, as well as the cost of labor for the batting wrap, and for recovering the cushions, if I so chose. I had him replace the down filling of one unusually shaped cushion of an antique chair, inserting high density foam wrapped with Dacron batting. I also had him do the batting wrap on six sofa cushions.
