Berry's Well Drilling & Pump Repair

The two guys who came out to do the job were efficient and knowledgeable. They explained to me what was wrong with my old system and how different the new system is. They were done in under an hour. They took the old parts away and cleaned up well. I would recommend them to anyone.

It was good. They show up and did the work.

They broke a coupling in the process that is spraying water everywhere and have not returned fix even though I have contacted numerous times. Then billed me twice and never returned my call to confirm their mistake. Apparently they never listen to their voicemail messages.

Despite short notification because I was going on vacation, Keith came out the next day, pulled the pump and piping, assessed the situation, and after picking up materials, quickly repaired the system so that I didn't have to worry about my yard while I was on vacation. Keith was courteous and professional. I would use Berry's again. And when I returned from vacation my yard was green so I was glad to get they got it fixed.

This time of year, the lawn irrigation people are very busy. I had called a competitor and been told I would have a month's wait before they could get to me. I called Berry's on a Thursday afternoon and was told "We'll send somebody by in a day or two". I have lived long enough in the Southeast to know that means I would be calling them back in a week to say "Remember me?". To my surprise, a serviceman was at the house by noon the following day. He replaced the foot valve and corroded piping on Friday so that I could work on sprinkler heads during the weekend using my existing pump. He then returned on Monday to replace the pump and motor. The price for labor was compatible to what I had been given from other companies, and the price for the parts was in line with what they were selling for at local retail stores. The service personnel were courteous and professional. I would certainly use Berry's again if necessary.

Noticed on Sunday that the lawn sprinklers were not working. Pump was running on the timer, but no water was pumped. Called Berry's, who had driled the well and installed the pump in 2006 on Monday morning. As promised around 12.30 Chris showed up to check the system and as I suspected the foot valve in the well needed to be replaced. He quoted me the price of $700 and assured me that was the going rate. It took Chris about two hours of hard work to remove the pump, pull the pipe, replace the foot valve, put pipe and pump back and check the valves connected to the timer to ensure that they were functioning properly. He suggested to fill in the somewhat subsided area around the pump with dirt, which I did right after he left. Then the pump did not come on anymore, so I called Berry's, who gave me Chris' phone number. He was stil in the area and would be back shortly. He was back in 30 minutes and fixed a loose pump wire connection in a couple of minutes. Super, pleasant service!
