Called to make an appt. Said they had to call back , gave all my info and stated that I needed a commercial grade fence , black chain link 4 ft.fence installed and never got a call back. I do not recommend the co. Went Eagle Fence and they did a great job!.

People get so impatient. This is a busy excellent fence company. ( Supplies coming in, they have no control over). Workers effficient and clean up. PERMITS in FM a nightmare.

Back on May 20th I called and requested an estimate for an aluminum fence in my new house being built. I was referred to them by sales person at my new development. They said I needed to provide a copy of the survey which I sent them the same day. Debby said she would send the information onto Mike. Over the past two and a half weeks I have called 2 or 3 times asking about the estimate. The response was they are busy and would get to it soon. Yesterday I called and Debby didn't seem to care and said she would find out and let me know and never called back. I had another company I was waiting on for a different job and when I called them back the same day as Tropical Fence, they were apologetic for taking so long and the lady mentioned she would make sure she reminded her boss that evening to get the proposal out to me, which they did the next day. I am not sure how this company expects to stay in business when they act like this. They just lost a potential customer and I will be sure to let my development know as well.

Even though there was a couple of week delay with the delivery of materials; the install crew did an excellent job installing the fence and the gates. The pups were extremely happy with their new, fenced yard.

This was in 2014....Responded quickly for a quote request. Called a week later and accepted the bid, they came by and picked up a deposit right away. Didn't hear from them for a few weeks, called and was told they were waiting on permitting. Called two weeks later, they couldn't find my file...turns out the permit had been requested the day after I called... So they finally come out a couple of months late, proceed to drop fence poles thorough two of my main sprinkler lines.. They could not have possibly missed cutting through a 2 1/2 inch line, never said a word... Grabbed their final payment and scampered out of there...As I travel for business, I come home later to a brown yard and two washed out holes in my yard. And because the sprinklers had been allowed to run, the entire rear yard zones were completely filled with rocks and sand. I spent $250 dollars repairing the sprinkler system. I called and left a message regarding my issue, requested a call back and even said I knew they wouldn't compensate me for sprinkler damage, but i wanted to let them know they should tell the homeowner so the repair can be made while still small... Never heard from them again... Will never, never use Tropical, recommend them, and will advise all that will listen to avoid them at all caosts

They came out to look at the job, gave us some good recommendations and ultimately gave us a written estimate. Even though the price was the highest out of the estimates we received, we decided we wanted them to do the fence. We called twice leaving messages saying that we were ready to go and no one has returned our calls. I don't understand how they are still in business.

Twice they arranged for a person to come out for an quote, no one showed....horrid service.

They were the worst (of 5) to respond to our request through Angie's List. We made our initial request for a quote in May they provided a quote in July. If not for the high rating at the time on this web page we would have bailed. They repeatedly failed to respond to our calls and emails. When they finally scheduled us in September they showed up two days later than we were told, although they claimed to email us at addresses we told them we no longer were valid repeatedly...repeatedly. Once they eventually installed the fence it was adequate. This was absolutely not worth the continuous communication, stress and appointment hassles. This was the worst contractor experience I have had in 30 plus years of home owner experience. The result of this experience will cause us to no longer rely on the reviews on Angie's List for ANYTHING!!!

We were purchasing our home here from out of state and needed fencing done as soon as we got moved in because we have several dogs. I called three places and arranged with the seller for people to come out on certain days to give me an estimate. At least a week went by from the time Tropical was supposed to have come and walked the property. When I called the office, the woman seemed surprised the salesman hadn't gotten back to me yet with an estimate. She was going to call him and assured me we'd have an estimate by the end of the day. Big surprise, neither she nor the salesman ever got back with me. We ended up going with another company that was quick and efficient and showed up when we needed them to. I would never recommend Tropical to anyone. I guess they just don't need the business.

We used Tropical Fence several years ago and overall they did a good job with the exception of leaving a large opening at the bottom of the fence on one side which I specifically asked them not to so my dogs wouldn't get out and they installed the larger gate for landscape machines to get through on the side of the house that has a step going down from the paver patio to the grass. Fast forward to late 2014 early 2015 I called to request a bid for some additional fencing and was promised that they were going to have someone out here and weeks and weeks went by with numerous phone calls from me asking why no one has showed up I never got a clear answer nor did I ever get a bid.

We called tropical fence and 2 other fencing companies to get quotes on fencing in our new home. The lady came out and was very nice and definitely knew her stuff when it comes to their business. She told us we would have the quote the following Monday which I wasn't happy about but sometimes that's just business so I wasn't very concerned. When wednesday came around and I still didn't have a price on the fence I decided to call and find out what was going on. Lady who answered, I want to say her name was Karen but I'm not 100% sure so don't quote me on that told me that the person who did our estimate would be back in her office the following day and we would and quot;probablyand quot; have our estimate on Friday. That is the opposite of what we were told by the person who came to our property. I asked if 7-10 days was normal for an estimate and she said yes so I told her we already had quotes in hand from every other vendor and that we wouldn't need a quote anymore. Her response was and quot;so you don't want anything? OK thanksand quot; and then hung up on me. Maybe she was just having a bad day (we all have them) or business is so good that they don't particularly need new business. Either way our experience with tropical fence was lousy and we went with someone else. I was really surprised at everything cause a lot of the reviews on here (which is why I called in the first place) were great.

Tropical Fence Co gave us a quote that was reasonable and competitive. They've done other work for us in the past. The quality of their work is good. The prices of the estimates I got for the work they'll be doing were all about the same, but I had the most confidence in Tropical Fence, so I gave them the job. They were very responsive. I asked her a lot of questions and she was great in answering them.

We were fenced on two sides by neighbors so we decided we finally wanted a fenced in yard completely for our dog and cat. Connie, who came to do the estimate was wonderful and we really liked her best after talking to a few other companies. The initial back and forth communication was just a little bit slower than we would have liked but it turned out fine. They do craft their own fences and the quality is very good! . Overall, I have to say that we really loved Billy and the other worker who did the job they were hard-working and very nice. The fence looks great and the job was finished when we told them it needed to be due to some other plans. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone wanting a quality fence for their yard.

They were a little more expensive than the competition but a higher quality product and do everything themselves, rather than sub it out. They installed 6 foot chain link fence around the sides and back of our 3 acres and a 6 foot ornamental fence with double arching automated driveway gate in the front with key pad. Everything is top of line and the job went very smoothly. They were always on time and very professional.

It has been a long time but they did a good job though. It's still in good shape. They were quick, had a good price, and did a good job.
