STORM SAFE

In the winter of 2002, I purchased storm shutters from Storm Safe. The work was performed as contracted with the exception of one window that was somehow missed. It took several weeks for them to provide that panel and I withheld payment until it was remedied. The day after the panel was provided, the salesman called wanting to know when I was going to make payment. Now, six years later my insurance company is asking me for a certificate for the shutters. My agent and myself have both phoned the company, and I have e-mailed them to no avail. Storm Safe markets their product as being an insurance premium deduction, but doesn't want to provide the documentation to acquire that discount.

We had one window that came in wrong, but it was corrected. The experience was ok.

A few weeks ago a salesman came out to explain the different types of doors that they had. They then sent out an installer to measure everything. They placed an order for the door and then five weeks later, today they installed the door. They didn't let us understand that it was going to be five or six weeks; we thought it was only going to take three weeks. After five weeks we called them to find out what was going on and they then sent someone out soon. We don't know what the hold up was. I like the installers because they saw some things that they weren't satisfied with when they were finished and went back and voluntarily redid them. I thought this was a good sign. We would use them again though.
