Wow could not be more pleased with Mr Sparkys work! Garrett was technician that was assigned to our home he called 30 minutes before his arrival and once he arrived, he assessed the problem we had and was quick to determine how to make our 1970s home a lot safer for our family. We feel confident in continuing to work with this company and Garrett for any future work! He swiftly completed carbon monoxide detectors, fire detectors, security camera, and brake panel work, thank you Mr Sparky and Garrett!

I will start this review with a positive: they were prompt. Everything went downhill fast. I called for an estimate on the install and relocation of an electrical box for a wall mounted light fixture. The original fixture was a flourescent unit that was still mounted to the wall, however, I wanted to mount a new fixture and would need the wires relocated approximately 4 or 5 inches to the right (requiring a new junction box and electrical box). The two techs arrived and went to work in the bathroom. They closed the door. I should not have let them do that. Rookie mistake. They decided the best way to look behind the light fitting was to rip it completely from the wall (breaking it in the process) and to also leave hot wires protruding from my wall (thanks, now I don't have a working light and I have hot wires sticking out of my wall). Next, they had to look for a stud that may be in the way. Rather than use a handy-dandy stud finder that you can buy in a hardware store for about $10, they decided that the best course of action was to just hack away at my bathroom wall. They then declared with great pride: "yep, there's a stud there". I could have told them that myself without punching a hole in my wall. After that, they then informed me (with a straight face), that the cost of the job would be $600. I think you should be paying me $600. Thanks for wrecking my bathroom. Maybe consider a career in demolition? Just a suggestion.

I had someone from mister sparky come to my home because of an electric issue. The man suggested replacing everything In the home. His lowest estimate was over 6000$ and the "best deal" he gave me was 20000$ to replace "all of it". The person was friendly but I got the feel that I was being scammed. After my "free assessment" I received an invoice email stating I owed 8$ for tools. I am getting more estimates but I expect real troubleshooting from a company, not just someone coming out and suggesting to replace everything when Its not necessary. UPDATE: a more ethical company- Southwest Florida Electric Inc- suggested I contact FPL, And I did. They came out and said it was an issue at the power line and they fixed it for free. They also warned me about mr sparkys company and how they try to charge you for what you don't need. If I would have listened to mr sparkys company- I'd be out 6000$ at best and 20000$ at worst and the issue wouldn't be fixed. Be very wary of this company

The tech did a great job. But i didn't like the way the company did the quote.

This was the worst experience my wife and I have ever had on any type of repair work. He had no idea of what was wrong and gave us estimates to repair of replace his idea of the problem which ranged from 650- over 2000 dollars. We had contacted later the smoke detector manufacturer Kidde and one smoke detector was sent to us because it was still under warranty and the other 5 smoke detectors cost $150.00 total. We were charged $298.00 with really nothing was done. Would not recommend this company.

Went great. Arrived in window provided and showed him what I wanted done and gave me estimate. Got to work on outside and then moved inside to do TV. Another guy came to help with TV mounting and installing power box to hide cables behind wall. He was at house for almost 4 hours. Great work, professional, friendly, cleaned up after work. Would hire again.

Went well. Everything was explained. Both men had on ID's, polite, diligent workers.

I WILL BUCK THE TREND AND SAY THE TRUTH Considering all the fabulous reviews Sparky of Fort Myers got I thought they would be a shoe in for my work. I had four or five boxes that needed to be replaced in a new knee wall. The salesmen asked me if he could look at my panel. I said sure. The next thing I know he is wiggling around my old breakers until he got one to arc by wiggling if. It was a small15 amp breaker to my bedroom. He nonchalantly said I can't put this back in, it is not safe, you need a whole new panel because 1 breaker is bad. I said who made you a Lee County Electrical inspector you have no right to make that call, You can turn me if you think it’s that bad, but you have no right to kill the power in my house. I spoke to the manager and said to him you do not have permission to pull apart someone panels, receptacles, sub panels, etc unless you say first" LOOK IF I FIND AN ISSUE I AM REQUIRED BY CODE TO PULL YOUR BREAKER AND YOU MAY HAVE NO STOVE, NO CENTRAL, NO REFRIGERATOR. Was I told this? NO. So they leave leavings my bedroom upstairs dark and telling me if I want power there I must pay them $5,000 for a new panel as 1 breaker was bad according to them, but it has worked for the past 15 years fine. I am in the property management business in New Jersey this is a smooth scam all done with smiles. BEWARE, I HAVE 40 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN THE TRADES, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.ITS 91 today and if I slept in a humid house at 91 humid degrees Sparky would tell me to pay them what they want or sweat old man. Please just ask the smiley sales person, before you poke around and create a problem please warn me and tell me if you probe and find a bad breaker, receptacle, sub panel where there is a question as to whether or not it is safe, will you warn me first so I do not live in a home with no electric, and let the choice be mine not yours. I can tell you now the management will respond that they were flush with safety on their minds. That breaker has been in there for 30 plus years and never once caused me an issue. Beware of Sparky with his smiles and demeanor or you will see the sparks in your wallet. I paid the chap and I was told there was a mediator I could call if I was not happy who would intervene. I was given no number to call for this so called impartial mediator. Were the breakers unsafe, It has worked since 1974 and at the time Sparky sparked with it, it was fine.

Told my 91 yo mother she would be electrocuted in her shower if she did not do all that he recommended. Bordered on Elderly abuse.
