9/1/15 UPDATE. Master Z Pavers attorney had filed Court papers to vacate (get it removed) the Judgement I won in Court on July 21,2015. We went into Court I argued against vacating the Judgement and his attorney argued to Vacate the Judgement. The result was that I WON and Master Z Pavers Motion to vacate was denied. The Judgement remains in full force and effect! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ REVIEW: It did not go well at all! He does not stand by his warranty at all! He made a mess at my property! He had many opportunities to honor his 2 year warranty and steadfastly refused! I filed a claim with the Courts recently and was successful in getting a judgement against him for damages to my property in the amount of $5,141.93. This is definitely not a company that I would recommend! One can easily see what I have been dealing simply by reading Master Z Pavers response. His response is simply shameful and insulting! The Judge ruled in my favor on July 21, 2015 and signed a Judgement against Master Z Pavers in the amount noted above.

Jose was great to work with, we bounced ideas off each other and worked together to create the vision we had for our home. Jose took us to the paver manufacturer to hep us pick out the paver colors and also discussed the various patterns available. Jose's team was courteous and professional, they arrived on time and cleaned up, when they left. They are also the hardest working team I have encountered. The neighborhood loves the finished product and were impressed with the speed of completing such a big job. I would use Jose and Master Z Paving again. The cost of the project was $25k.

This is the best provider I have ever hired of Angies List. They are prompt, polite, and the workers are excellent. We are very happy with the job. It looks beautiful!

Jose came promptly after I called and gave me the estimate. I accepted, and we scheduled the job 10 days later. The workers arrived right on time, worked very hard, finishing in one day, and cleaned up afterward. We are very happy with the work. Jose (the owner) returned a few days later to do the sealing, and everything looks great! Two of my neighbors had pavers installed by Master Z Pavers at the same time, and are also very happy.

The owner responded the same day, on time (he even called ahead to explain that he was slightly delayed), to my request for an estimated price, and although the work required, was a small project, by most paver company standards, he spent considerable time exploring installation options, and color choices. He is extremely personable and easy to work with. I was given a price during the visit, which I felt was very fair. The installation itself was a delight, as the team of employees were very respectful and speedy. Everything was completed on time, as promised, without a hitch. I cannot stop admiring my new walkways! I am delighted! They considerably enhance the exterior view of the property. I only wish that I could afford to pave the driveways too! I would definitely utilize this company again and would wholeheartedly recommend them to friends and colleagues.

Of all the home services I have had over the years, Master Z Pavers ranks at the top of my list. Jose, owner of Master Z Pavers and his experienced dedicated crew are outstanding in terms of quality work, professionalism, follow through and follow up. Anytime I had a question, Jose called me back almost imediately even on Sunday and was on the job working and to assure the job was perfect. Because of our wonderful experience, we won't even put a bid out to do our pool deck - The job is theirs!

Jose, the owner came the next day after call to give an estimate. He was doing a similar job nearby and took us there to see how the work was performed. When the time came for our job his crew led by Watson arrived on time and removed furniture from the lanai and began work. The work was professionaly and quickly done. It was estimated to be a three day job, but they finished in two long days. Several people have seen the finished project and all have commented very favorably on the appearance. Great job!!

We called two comanies for estimates. Jose was at our house within 2 hours. He had a full vision of what we wanted. Jose had his I-Pad with him that was loaded with pictures and clearly explained our options. It was so nice to be able to see the examples he was talking about. He had another idea for us that had never crossed our minds. His vision was perfect for what we were looking for. He explained that this vision was in process at another job just a few streets away. He said, "Come over and see it. Do you have time to follow me over there now?" We agreed and followed him to the job. Jose knocked on the door and the owner of the property came to the door. We were unannounced and Jose was greeted with enthusiasm. He explained to the owner that we were thinking of doing the same as his job, and we came to see it. The owner was excited to show us around and gladly answered all of our questions. We asked if he was happy with the company, he responded that they have done everything they said they would do and more. We asked if the job was done in a timely manner, he responded that they were moving so fast he couldn't keep up. The owner was proud and the job was beautiful. As we looked around we noticed that all of the Master Z employees, approximately 5, were in uniform with matching shirts and looking professional. The equipment on the job included: Two large pickup trucks, a Trailer, a Dump truck, a Box Truck and a Backhoe. Everything was professionaly labled with "Master Z Pavers". It was quite impressive and clearly made a statement that they are ready to do business. We showed up at this job with no notice and Jose was clearly proud to show it off. This sealed the deal for us and we wanted Master Z Pavers. They finished our pool TODAY ! Now we are that new owner. We are so proud and the pool is more than we could have ever dreamed for. The work is top notch and done so professionaly. Jose has returned every phone call and finished ahead of schedule. Our plan was clearly laid out for us and all of our expectations have been met. We plan to enter phase 2 in the next two weeks. We will be adding an expanded dock of 50 X 12 with a paver walkway all the way around the house and steps leading from the pool to the dock. This is the second job I've had done by José of Master Z Pavers Inc. over the last few years. The pavers in our home's courtyard had settled unevenly in a number of locations and we had never really been satisfied with parts of our builder's installation about eight years ago. José returned my initial call within a few hours and arrived exactly on time to take a look at the work we wanted done. His price was very reasonable and, although the job was relatively small, we agreed that he would do it whenever he could fit it into his schedule. My wife works night shift and José also agreed to a late afternoon start so that her sleep would not be interrupted. Yesterday morning, about three weeks after our initial meeting, José called to let me know he could be available at 3:00. He and his crew showed up right on time and immediately went to work. The work took about three hours and José and his guys were extremely knowledgeable, skilled, pleasant and very professional. Our deck now looks better than new and we were impressed with how much work José's guys put into sanding, cleaning and hosing off the deck once they were finished. We may have been able to get another company in quicker but, being familiar with the quality of José's work, we would have gladly waited a few months if necessary. We highly recommend Master Z Pavers.

Master Z Pavers Inc, performed an excellent outstanding job at our house. Jose his owner is a very responsible person, was always present, checking on every single detail. He showed up at our house and went through all the details, guiding us about what we should do in our pool deck and driveway. His quote was we had estimated already. He met us at tricircle to pick colors and design. His crew is just Amazing, they are very careful, detail to detail, they made sure everything was as perfect as possible, and Jose the Owner was always there to help and take the best decisions. Our driveway and Pool deck look amazing, everything went over our expectations. We have no doubt that choosing Master Z Pavers was the best decision when it refers to a Paver Company. My neighbors, family and all our guests love our paver job. I highly recommend Master Z Pavers for your future jobs.

We are very pleased. Jose was prompt with his communication with us, and got the work started without delay. The job was completed quickly, and the work is beautiful; neighbors continue to comment on the new driveway/walkway. I highly recommend Jose and his company and will use them again if we need further work in the future.

I called (and when requested, I even texted) him 3 times. The first time he called back quickly. I explained that I had specifically chose him over other businesses because of his high ratings on Angie's List. I started to explain the work I needed and he stopped me promising to stop by the next day to look at my site and discuss my concerns. He also asked me to text him with my name and address - which I did immediately. He never showed up. Two business days later I had not heard or seen from him, so I phoned him again. He acted like he had never heard of me, or the job - but promised to call me back in 20 minutes to discuss - no call that day, or the next. I decided to call a competitor and had an estimate from them that same afternoon. I know he received my texts because when I finally texted him to let him know that I chose another contractor - he texted me back immediately with "OK." I have saved the texts just in case he disputes my comments.

Outstanding experience with Jose and his crew. This was a large scale project: ripping up existing concrete driveway, expanding it to 30'x60" with pavers, crafting a walkway around to the back yard, creating a paver front porch, ripping up existing pool deck and installing pavers, and creating a backyard paver patio and walkway to the dock. Large job, and performed wonderfully. Jose came out to give me an estimate (which was fair), so we contracted for the job. A little slow getting started due to backlog of paver inventory, but once they began the job they arrived on time every day and worked hard (generally three crew members, plus Jose intermittently). HUGE improvement to our property. Crew was diligent, quiet (at least as quiet as can be expected when ripping up a driveway and pool deck!), and their detail work was outstanding (for example, around the curved kidney shaped pool with new coping all the way around). The curved patio, driveway, and walkways are all beautiful, and they really took the time to add exceptional detail to the job. The price was as quoted (actually a little higher than quoted, but that's only because we chose to add on some additional work once we saw what a great job they did!). Overall fantastic job...happy to serve as a reference for Jose and his team any time.

The installation was performed with very good skill and care from preparation, layout of the pattern to final installation of the materials.

We needed the job done before company was coming, They showed up with a full crew and got the job done quickly and professionally. Good communication with contractor. Came when they said they would. They did not leave us hanging. Always answered phones. Thank YOU +++++++

My experience with Florida contractors has mostly been bad. That's the biggest reason I now use Angie's List down here. This summer we decided to add pavers to our lanai in our second home. We solicited comments from a number of neighbors that had this project completed and truly none of them were 100% satisfied. We received five bids through Angie's List and neighbor referrals. Master Z's was not the cheapest but was in the game. Most impressive was Jose the owner who met with us on a Sunday and truly seemed to care. Against all my better judgement we contracted for the work to be completed during the summer without us here. My neighbor and handyman both agreed to come over once the project got underway to oversee the work on a daily basis. In the end this was not necessary as Jose and his team did an exceptional, timely and professional job. We had one small issue with the pool due to one of Jose's workers but Jose immediately stepped up and remedied the situation. These are guys are first class and do exceptional work. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

This is an update of a previous review. At that time, I noted that our pool was filthy and costly to clean. Since then, Jose took care of the problem to our mutual satisfaction. I've upgraded his overall rating from B to A.

This company is outstanding. From the time we received an estimate until the completion of the work their workmanship, professionalism, and their attention to detail has been outstanding! The driveway was cracked and heaving concrete so it all had to be broken up and removed. The work started bright and early Monday morning and by 2pm all concrete had been removed. The crushed base arrived about 4 Pm and was spread out before it got to dark to work. Tuesday morning the men compacted the dirt and crushed base and the inspector came and signed off on the slope and base. They immediately started laying pavers. By 4pm the driveway was totally laid and the walkways had been laid except for the edging block which had to be cemented. Wednesday was cutting and fitting remaining pieces, cementing the edge of the driveway and sanding all areas. By 4pm on Wednesday the job was complete. Everything was picked up and the only way you could tell anyone was here was because we had a beautiful new driveway and walkways. We will need to put some sod around the edges but looks fine until we can get to it. The crew was mindful that we had to come and go from the house and were careful to stay out of our way. The men that did the cutting and fitting were exceptional. They fit the pavers perfectly around the air conditioning unit so you can't tell the unit isn't sitting on pavers. We have never had an experience such as this especially in South Florida. Jose is a very honest and hardworking owner and is there right alongside his men getting the job done. It is obvious his men like working for him as eve when he's not on the job they insist on perfection in everything they do. We will not hesitate to recommend this company to everyone we meet. You will not find a better company to do business with. We look forward to having them seal the pavers once they settle and won't hesitate to use them again.

After a lengthy and extensive search of paver companies in the Southwest Florida area we chose Master Z based on their professionalism, creative solutions to some of our unique needs, responsiveness, scope of service and competitive pricing. We could not be happier with the results of their work or the quality of the service they provided. Description of the Project: We have a double circular drive in the front of our house and a triple side drive. In addition we needed to remove an existing flagstone entry, redesign a walkway and install an entry pad for one of the patio doors. We knew this would be a major project that required us to solve some drainage problems and accommodate changes in the driveway elevation and slope. Jose clearly understood the problems that needed to be addressed in his design and successfully resolved them all. We have observed the effectiveness of his design through several heavy downpours and there are no water problems anywhere. We also have no areas in these large expanses of pavers where water is standing after a heavy rain. Scope of Service: Master Z was the only contractor who agreed to include relocation of sprinklers, repairs to any sprinkler heads or lines, and installation of conduit under the new drives for drainage and utility access, Having one contractor who performed these various services made the job easier to oversee and reduced the total expense as compared with other paver companies that did not provide these services which meant we would have needed to hire others to do these tasks. Responsiveness: From our first call to request an estimate to our last I never waited more than a day to get a call back. Jose gave us a work schedule that was honored, delivering the materials as planned and completing the job by our agreed upon deadline. Pricing: Master Z was not the lowest bid we received, but was the one that provided the most service and value. There was a 10% variance among the five bids we received and Master Z was in the middle. What We Learned: What we didn't know was how messy paver installation can be. Cutting the pavers is a very dusty business and everything near the saw that wasn't covered or otherwise protected was covered in a fine film of dust. It took several weeks of rain and hosing down the shrubs for them to be free of this stubborn dust. Fortunately the Master Z crew cleaned the majority of the dust from the garage and surrounding areas, but the detailed cleaning required more elbow grease that I would have expected. If we had it to do over, I would have had the saw relocated downwind of the house and covered the shrubs and garage openings. Overall Assessment: Having lived in Lee County over 40 years and worked with numerous contractors over the years, I would say this is one of the most positive home improvement projects we have experienced. As one neighbor said, "If a driveway can be beautiful, then this is the one that is." A project with few if any headaches and a result that far exceeded our expectations is what prompts our enthusiastic recommendation for Master Z..

I could write ten pages of how awesome our experience was with Master Z and his crew but to sum it all up in a quick review: they are just flat out awesome!! We had a patio put in and a couple small areas around the perimeter of our house done and everyday when I go outside I am still shocked at the quality of work and how efficient they were. I'll never do business with anyone else except Master Z pavers!

It took them exactly 3 days, as promised. Ran into a couple of unexpected problems due to the way old pavers were installed and Jose, the owner, figured out a way to work around it. The other workmen were good, very polite, cleaned up all the debris and power washed everything when they were finished. The price was not that much more than other companies had quoted just to take up and reset the old tiles. We are thrilled with the looks of the new deck and the driveway extension and would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone! Definitely an A+ company doing an A+ job.

Took 6 weeks for the materials to be available. I was told that at contract signing. Was called and informed that materials were ready and that my job would be started the next day. Job took two days to complete. The crew works hard and the finished product met my expectations. I would recommend this company and hire again
