We purchased 325 feet of seven layered engineered wood for our bedroom. Then about a year later we bought another 1200 feet of five layer engineered wood because the original seven layer that we bought was discontinued. We just recently bought 850 feet of five layered engineered for another house that we have. This was a discontinued product and they did not have in stock in Fort Myers. 25 boxes were in Tampa and three boxes were in Venice. When we made arrangements to pick up the wood we verified from the Venice store and the Tampa store that it was five layers. We rented a trailer went to Tampa and again verified that it was five layers when we picked up that load. Next we drove to Venice and verified again that that was five layered. When we got home and unloaded the wood, open the package and it was only three layers. All three stores told us it was five layers. We went back to the Fort Myers store with a piece of the wood to show the representative. He said there must've been a change that he didn't know about. He contacted the manager who said we could not return the floor. Since we had no choice they gave us a very very small discount. The bottom line is they sold us five layer floor and gave us three layers. If you buy anything from them make sure that you open the boxes before you leave their store and before you pay for it to make sure you're getting what you pay for. They will sneak in a different product and refused to do anything about it after you pay for it. I don't know if that is bait and switch or just dishonesty. We did not get the floor we paid for and they refused to take it back.
Description of Work: I purchased wood floor - no installation.

Ross Flooring from lehigh acres fl came out on November 20/2015 arriving at 9:00am and leaving 1:30pm. i was recovering from a heart cath at the time of the installation. I notice later that afternoon that the t molding were install very poorly. Every time i would walk on the molding they would move and were not very rigid at all. I notice in my outside dumpster bag all 7 metal t molding mounting strips that should have been installed that day but were not. Called ross flooring about the problem. Owner from ross flooring told me we don't use the the metal mounting strips and would not come blackout to install them. Owner did call back saying they would come back out to reinstall the molding with the metal t rail. Because she wanted to protect her company rating. I scheduled 2 appointments with the owner natasha she never showed up. I did notice that my screened in front porch furniture and rug were totally coated with saw dust and ross flooring left there green cord on my front porch. Called natasha again about sawdust mess and damage done to my furniture and rug by the sawdust staining the surface of the furniture and rug she did not care one bit. Called lumber liquidators Ft myers store robert and camille they didn't care. Called lumber liquidators customer care talked to tammy she did nothing and never called me back about my problem i was having. Called HSI a bird eye company to over see lumber liquidators installers. Mrs Howard HSI sent me a form to sign to relieve the $600.00 balance to ross flooring and for me to find another contractor myself. All i wanted was the flooring finished correctly and the damage corrected to my porch furniture. It is now 12/28/2015 my 5 yr old daughter has triped twice hitting her head on floor on the molding that has come up. Camille from lumber liquidators charged me again $227.00 for all new molding that ross flooring never install correctly. still trying to find another contractor to reinstall the t molding. Very sad that i choose lumber liquidators. Im disable and a veteran.

Description of Work: We made a last minute decision to put hard floors in instead of carpet in three bedrooms. They were able to get the materials self reed and installed in just days and did a great job.

Description of Work: I purchased hickory floors for three bedrooms from lumber liquidators. Getting a final quote was very difficult. The store manager on the east trail in Naples was very vague and provided price estimates. It wasn't till it was too late for me to back out due to timing that the true "all in" price was revealed. It took me multiple calls and conversations with their installer and the store manager to finally arrive at the final price. After dramatically under quoting me, I was then made to feel guilty for getting a price reduction on materials. If that weren't enough, the wood came in late so our complete install wasn't finished before we moved into our new house. I was assured up until the week before move that it would be done it time, but it still wasn't. My concern is that I was dealing with the store manager. As such, I imagine this store likely hads communication issues with many customers. All in all, a bad experience. The price savings was also minimal so I wish I had just used another company.

It went great and it was very nice. We were very happy. We had family members that had used them also couple of months ago. They were very helpful. After looking around, their price is much cheaper.
Description of Work: We got the flooring from Lumber Liquidators and they did the installation. The installation was only $1100, we had other quotes and most of the other quotes were $2400. If you used an outside company and you have leftover, they charge you 20% stocking fee but if you went with Lumber Liquidators they don't charge you that stocking fee. We actually got $400 back so that was really nice. It was a good deal.

Great job. To reduce cost for installation, my husband and I tore out the carpeting and scraped up the glue/foam so the installer did not need to charge for this. I appreciated that the estimator (Sue) discussed my concern about what to do regarding chair wheels on the new wood floor after installation in study... and Sue gave recommendations re burying and quot;soft rubberand quot; wheels to put on that study chair. I bought the rubber wheels on Amazon and installed these myself on the chair prior to wood floor installation. Great job on installation by Ron. Interesting that about 6 months later... mid/end of summer we experienced high humidity in the house well over 60 % (cabinets/doors were sticking, tile floors felt tacky/damp, and the engineered wood flooring was starting to bump up in two places YIKES). I called installer (Sue) and she had Ron come out the same day.. Ron tested floor for humidity and discussed with us that rather than modify floor I first should try to get the humidity lower in the house... something was amiss with Air Conditioning. Long story short.... with air conditioning changes the humidity is now 49 to 52 % and the wood floors are back to normal, cabinets and doors are not sticking, and tile floor feels dry. YEA! (I called the AC service and what we had to do with the AC was: Two year old air conditioning system on new home needed a tad of refrigerant, a bit of sealing, and I needed to keep the AC Fan on 'AUTO' not 'ON' all the time. Basically my leaving the AC on 'ON' and with the AC system being in the garage.. meant the AC system was pulling hot damp air into to the AC system all the time... hence high humidity. Keeping the AC FAN on 'AUTO' did the trick with seriously reducing humidity in our home. I so appreciated the installer, Ron, helping us trouble shoot the issue.. great follow up post installation. Excellent service.
Description of Work: Estimate for four rooms (3 bedrooms and 1 study). Installation of engineered hardwood. The house was new but we did not want the carpeting in the bedrooms and study (builder installed carpeting.. we bought the house after the house was completed).

Their price stands out. I get a very good selection and they are more than price competitive. The people I have spoken with know what they are doing.

I explained what I wanted to do(lay floor over concrete pad), but they sold me the wrong product. When the installer went to pick up the floor, he realized it was wrong and we switched to a different, less expensive product. However, the store wouldn't price it properly until I made numerous calls. They failed to fill the materials order as the installer had requested, and were very slow to return calls. The square footage purchased included an estimate for spoilage, and they required that I take an additional 13 square feet because thery wouldn'y break up a box. There was vbirtually no spoilage on the job and nothing was left over, so count what they send you. On the plus side, the installer, Knock on Wood Floors, was outstanding and did a great job.
