Robert called to set up an appointment to come to our home and help us with ceilings lights and a smoke alarm system. After making the appointment, he called the night before the scheduled date to confirm. He was prompt on arrival. Very patient, very informative and even more helpful. He listened to our story about the alarms going off randomly and how frequently we have to change bulbs in the kitchen and how we couldn't get the cover off the ceiling lights in the living room to change out bulbs that had burned out months ago. He first checked wires and the electrical current running through the light sockets. He explained different types of bulbs and how they work while he replaced the ones that weren't working. One light unit isn't hooked up and there was black smoot coming out around the cap. He pulled the cap off and pulled down all the wires checking each one and tightening up the nut on the ends. He checked the ceiling and the insulation and he checked the a/c vent that was blowing across the unit. Turns out the "smoot" was mold that developed from the opening into the ceiling (heat) coming into contact with the cold air (a/c) creating condensation. After being sure that everything was in order he carefully placed the wires back into the ceiling and then took the cap to the sink and washed it to remove the mold. He then took a rag with bleach and he cleaned the ceiling. He cleaned until the ceiling was "white" again. We won't even need to paint. He then put the cap back over the inset and sealed it to keep the heat from blowing through. He then reached over and redirected the vents on the ceiling vent of the a/c so to prevent any future condensation. He followed that up by replacing all 5 of our smoke detectors with new models. He ran and check, gave us a number to contact him (personally) if we have any questions or have any issues with any of the work. My husband and I were thoroughly impressed. We would refer them to anyone for home electrical needs.
