They were prompt, courteous and very professional. We live in a condo building and they were very conscious of the rules and regs. They originally predicted a 2 day job and were done in less than 1 and 1/2. Scott came in with an assistant and was very pleasant and easy to talk to. Being a condo there wasn't anywhere to be in the unit without being in the way. We gave Scott a key and left them to do the job. When we returned everything was right where it should have been and the work was excellent. It was far superior to what was there previously on all levels. The edges and seams were perfect and they did a nice job of cleaning up behind themselves. It was an excellent experience and I'd highly recommend them.

Description of Work: For a very small fee, they moved the furniture out of the two rooms to be carpeted and returned the furniture when the installation was complete. Saved us a lot of time and trouble!

I Chose a carpet from Klare's warehouse for our vacation home. It was unwrapped, but didn't mean much to me. I Gave sales person exact diagram with dimensions to give estimate. He said that he had more than enough carpet for our small home. Salesperson gave unwritten estimate of $1100+, and explained, of course, that Klare's would need to measure in home for exact price. Salesperson said he would me call with price. The Installer arrived a few days later to measure, at which he informed my husband that had installed this same carpet in another home, but due to color concerns, owner's had Klare's remove it.'. This was our first concern as we were led to believe that this was brand new carpet. Anyway. I did not hear back from Salesperson, thus I called him for the price. It now had increased from $1100+ to $1500+. I stated that I was given an estimate of $1100+, and that $400 seemed to be a big difference. He explained that there were few extra things to carpet, thus the reason for the price difference. I then said that I was informed that the carpet had already been installed in another home, thus should be considered as 'used'. He him-hawed around stuttering, 'well, yes, well, no, well, it's not really used....it was previously installed in another home, but colors did not match'. He then stated that the carpet was originally $40/sq yd and that he gave me $23/sq yard? I stated that I would need to speak with my husband and get back with him that week. I called the salesperson back that same week, at which the a lady answered and stated he was out of the office, but 'could she help me'. It was not a pleasant conversation. She stated the same as the salesperson, that it was not used carpet, that it was only installed a few weeks and never walked on(?). She then said that 'some' of the carpet was 'sold this week'....???? I told her that I was still working with the salespeson, and that I was to get back with him with a decision. I asked if I could speak with the owner, at which she replied she was the owner's wife. When I informed her that I, too, was a small business owner, and was upset with the way this transaction was being handled, especally not told about the used carpet, she said that I should then understand business. She seemed more upset than I was. I informed her that I only called to speak with the salesperson to discuss price, and that I would like to offer the $1100 due to the carpet being used, which I believed to be a just deal due, especially since the carpet had already been installed, removed and being re-installed in our home. She said that she would give the message to the salesperson and ubruptly ended the call. I did not hear back from the salesperson, so I called him on Monday. He started our conversation calmly, while I said that I would offer $1100 for the carpet since it had already been installed. He then said that I got a good deal, that the carpet was $60/sq year.....?? I told him that I thought it was $40/sq yd, at which he said that he couldn't do the deal anyway as he had already sold some of the carpet, thus not enough carpet now for the home. I reminded him that we spoke earlier in the week, and that he knew that I was to speak with my husband regarding price and get back with him, and 'why would he have sold a piece of carpet prior to closure of our transaction?' He continually told me that 'it had just slipped his mind that the carpet had been installed in another home. I then informed him that I've never heard of a company pulling the rug out a transaction (no pun intended) prior to finishing the deal, whether a go or not. I stated that I was truly unhappy with the way Klare's performed their business. My obvious concern with this company is that they were dishonest from the beginning by not informing me that the carpet was used. Further, once they realized that I was aware of the used carpet, I received no return call..I had to call the salesperson. He then scooted around the issue of used vs new carpet. I would have had no problem if I had been made aware of this from the beginning (in fact, I probably would have thought I was getting a steal), but Klare's kept from me KNOWING that it had been used /installed in another home, and that the price changed from $40/sq yard to $60/sq yd. The final straw was obviously when the salesperson stated that part of the carpet had been sold (out from underneath us), and there was not enough, now, for the home, thus could't sell it to us if he wanted to. Terribly Bad Business Practice. I only wish they would have been honest from the start or at least acknowledged their mistake of skipping around the truth. Unfortuntaetely I can not recommend this company due to their dishonest practices.

The had name brand name carpets. The staff was knowledgeable and they provided excellent installation. The measurements saved considerable costs as competitive box store measurements would have required much more carpet purchase, which would have been a waste. I would use them again and would also recommend them.
Description of Work: They installed new carpet. This was for five rooms.
