He was prompt and polite, but there must have been a communication issue, as I definitely said that it was soffits, not a leaking roof.

Hernan came out when he said he would, his workers were very punctual, neat and clean. I wait to write a review until I see if the repair holds up well. 2 years later, the roof is great, no leaks. A couple of my neighbors also used J and H Roofing with similar results. I would rate him A+ and definitely recommend him to anyone.

Fine. The owner, Hernan, came to do the estimate right when he said he would. His quote and guarantee were the best of the three quotes we got. He came to do the work as scheduled, and left everything in great shape. We would use him again.

Talked with multiple roofing companies. I found J&H here on AL. Very glad I did. Hernan is the man! Completely involved and is no fuss. Very reasonable pricing. He had a crew of 6 - 8 that were on my roof at 7:00 am Saturday morning! They worked all day and then were back on my roof 7:00 am Sunday morning! Where are you going to find that?? HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I first spoke with the owner, Hernan Angamarca, in the fall of 2013. He came to our home to look at what I thought might be a simple matter of realigning some loose tile on the 20 year old roof of the home we had just purchased. Hernan inspected the roof and asked me to join him on top. He said the tile had slipped so badly that any attempt to remove and reset the tile would only further damage the secondary water barrier and cause leaking which at this point we had not observed. Further there were a large number of cracked and broken tiles. He did say that I might have as much as another 3-5 years before the roof system failed entirely. He gave me an estimate of 50 square and a ballpark price of about 15K. Being cautious, I set out contact a number of roofing companies in the area and did get an additional quote from a large outfit in the Cape Coral area for 50% more shingles than Hernan had quoted (75 square and 21K). I spoke with Hernan again and told him I would get back to him once my finances were in order but first I needed to sell another property. In February 2014, we had the money available and called Hernan to get me an exact quote on the job. He was quick to respond and I signed a contract for the work to be done the last week of February. He said he would be able to do the job in 6 days and could start within a month. A few days later he called to say he could start almost immediately as another large job was just put on hold due to finances. He simply needed to pull the permit and order and arrange delivery of the supplies. Bang, the dumpster showed up and he and his crew set about to do the job. The work went very well and bam we had a new roof - a very complicated multi angled roof with an inordinate number of peaks and valleys. Hernan is a knowledgeable professional and a capable roofer. He arrived on time every time whenever he said he would, did the job in the time he said it would take and was within a bundle of shingles of his 50 square estimate. Hernan was on the job at all times. He treats his men well and when they work they WORK. Would I use this company again? Absolutely. Would I recommend this company to others? Wholeheartedly. I appreciate hard workers. As an aside, in my younger days, I had the pleasure of doing quite a bit of roofing up north so I was not completely in the dark about the work being done. I'd have enjoyed working with these guys. Almost grabbed a hammer more than once. Showing my age - they don't use hammers anymore. One little surprise: there is a 5% discount for Angie's list members. It was not made clear until the final bill was presented that the maximum discount was $300 and did not apply to the total project. Ouch! .

Went very well. We contacted several companies and he was the most responsive and the most willing to go the extra mile. He was a pleasure to have work on our roof and we asked for recommendations for other contractors for other jobs around the house.

The owner and a crew of 2 completed the job as contracted. I had two areas of concern that were resolved after I discussed the issues with the owner. The owner was professional and the price was very fair. My one negative was the clean-up I picked up several plastic strips and a few tacks after complections. I would use this company again.

He was very responsive. Of course it cost more that expected, but we compared prices and J & H's price was right in the ballpark.. I would definitely recommend them

Hernan worked the first day with the crew but not the second and third. He came at the end of the day to check on everything. I thought I had a 20% discount for Angie’s List but he told me it was only 5% so I adjusted that. Several days later when it rained the rain came through the end valleys of the gutters so it wasn’t properly sealed. He came out twice to fix the leak and it’s was still leaking and he didn't want to come back out. I told him it still wasn’t fixed and he came back a third time and he wasn’t happy. Also, the clean-up wasn’t good; a lot of debris was left lying around including roof nails. I had another person come for my gutters and he is fixing the problem.

The work required 3 1/2 days and they came each day on the times promised They took off the old materials, removed the damaged 5/8" plywood and then replaced that and then resealed and mopped the underlayers and finally reinstalled the tiles One area of the roof we decided to modify to ensure that no water could run behind the facia etc. This was done and went well. Some removal/replacement of the gutters was required as well as a new section of soffit. This had to be painted and this was accomplished. Hernan and his staff are very pleasant and he and his helper did a great job -they cleaned up each day to my satisfaction and the last day he did some final work. I was satisfied with the price he gave me as I had a leak that had damaged the soffit and had the potentilal to allow water into the home- I did not go out for bids as he had given me good service at a great price on a previous occasion. As he is a small business man with 4-6 employees he is on the job each day with his helper- one is therby able to talk directly to the owner if there are questions.

I contacted J & H Roofing Company after I had seen the company's add on Angie's list. I spoke with the owner Hernan Angamarca and scheduled a visit for the following day. The owner of the company, Hernan Angamarca came to my house the following day, inspected the entire roof from the attic to the top of the roof. He told me what needed to be done and told me how much it was going to cost me to repair the roof. Later on, the same day, he sent me an email with a proposal. I agreed to have the repair done including the dates to start and to finish the work. Everything was done as agreed upon. Mr. Angamarca worked along side his employees. He was always on time, and he was very polite, and very professional. He always took the time to explain each and every step of the work involved. Mr. Angamarca and his employees finished the job in a timely manner. They cleaned the entire job site. It was a pleasure to deal with a professional, honest, and knowledgeable person. I am very pleased with the roof repair done by J & H Roofing & Waterproofing Inc. I strongly recommend this roofing company. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Angamarca and his employees for a fantastic job they did. I wish all service companies I hired in the past were like this company, professional, honest, hard working, and fair. Thank you Angie's List! Now, let the rain begin!

No one came to look at my roof.

At a loss for who to call for a troublesome leak, I called a few roofers. I might add I had previously called handymen, window specialists etc to find this leak. They all recommeding different things and could only basically guess as to what the problem was. Hernan, the owner/manager of J&H responded quickly and, after a short discussion to explain the issue, he said he could come out the following morning. He arrived on time. Although I thought the roof might be leaking, he found the problem to be the seal between the stucco and upstairs window. The seal had started to peel away from the upstairs window and seep through ultimately leaking out the top of my downstairs window. He removed all the old seal and replaced with a nice thick coat of new sealant. I was extremely pleased with Hernan as he was very diligent in explaining and fixing the issue. The piece of mind to know that this nagging problem is gone is priceless.

Professional repair job - just what one would expect.

I had a leaky roof, i called the company and they were out to visit me the same day. I booked them in for the following week and the job was completed in 4 days.This was important as we had hurricane Issac on the way and it was raining constantly.

Not much to say except that we had our tiles ready for the repair when he arrived. He brought his ladder, checked out the tiles we knew were broken, then examined the complete roof to be sure there were no problems we were not aware of. Very good he did this as there was one additional tile that had slipped out of place. He refitted it and all was well. We are very pleased with his work, his cordiality and the fact he came within a few days to fix the problem. His charge of $150 was reasonable and appropriate.

We were satisfied. He’s a nice guy and a good worker. They were very fair and I would recommend them.

J & H Roofing did a splendid job, had the lowest estimate out of 4. And, NO problems, nor leaks of any kind since the roof was replaced a year ago. I've been associated with construction for over 20 years and can say with certainty the job was done in a professional manner and the installation exceed minimum code requirements. Hernan personally delivered the estimate, work was completed ahead of schedule and Hernan is easily accessible via his cell phone.... never had a problem getting a hold of him. Great job @ a great price. I highly recommend J & H Roofing!!!
