Home depot sent a designer to house to view location and go over ideas for colors and such. The project started in Dec. 2016 and was not finished til Aug 2017. Estimated time 1 to 2 weeks. They came to house Dec 4th or 5th and ripped up tile and removed toilet and shower, made a huge mess and left for the day. Then returned the next day with completely different people and they did not have any equipment to work. They left and did not return until Jan 2017, completely leaving master bathroom completely unusable except sink. Throughout the following 8 months they came and went, having different tile guy/handy man on about 6 or 7 visits. By March, after so many complications I could not begin to describe, some that you would not believe, they ran out of tile and could not find batch to match. After much frustration and arguing with them, I vehemently demanded they either match tile or re-do tile. They did not want this and were extremely unprofessional and behaved as if we made the mistakes. Eventually they caved and changed all tile, again making huge mess, yet fortunately sent same tile guy. Then came the shower. After shower tile was installed they sent another company over to measure and install the glass door. This guy(different co.) was very nice and a breath of fresh air. Cannot remember company name. He noticed that the edge of tile leading into shower was tilted outward instead of inward which would have caused water to spill onto floor and said he could not measure or install until fixed. Once again, Home depot people dragged their feet and behaved as if we caused problem. Eventually, by late August, the job was finished and Home depot fought us tooth and nail on any sort of compensation I was beyond irate. They gave us a small credit, which I felt was insulting and terribly insufficient, plus the finished job looks just "0k". NEVER USE THEM!!! I WONT EVEN SHOP THERE!!

We were trying to get the job done before Christmas, when we initially ordered it and there was some confusion on the availability of the installers in order to meet our deadline. They did the best they could but there were some errors that were made by the people responsible for ordering the materials and trying to get us booked for the date that we had assumed it would be put in. So it was delayed because of that. So that was why it was put in January instead of before the holidays. Overall they did a good job. The installation people were great, very thorough. I got a lot of cooperation but they just couldn't perform on the date I wanted.

On or about March 7, 2014, I was personally contacted by a representative of Home Depot, Fort Myers, Fl., in regards to my wanting to purchase impact windows for my condominium at 5322 Concord Way, Fort Myers, Fl. I agreed to purchase six, PGT windows for $7,500.00. The windows were to be installed on 4-9-2014. The project number on this transaction is 7390263. On April 9, 2014, I was contacted by an installer at my residence. This installer related that two of the windows for the rear of my condo were 10 inches too long. He requested that I store four of the correctly made windows in my condo and he would find out when the other two could be manufactured. He did not want to install the four windows since he would not be paid until the job was completed. He related that many of his window installation jobs involved incorrectly manufactured windows from PGT. I examined these four windows and determined they were made to the specifications that I had paid for. Later in May 2014, I began receiving phone calls from Home Depot personnel in Atlanta, Georgia, wanting to schedule another date to have the windows installed. I returned to my condo and on May 20, 2014, the six windows were installed. The last two windows to be installed were the windows that had been earlier manufactured too long in length. I had asked the installer prior to his installing all of the windows if they were all correct at that time. He assured they were all right this time. He completed the installation about 5:30PM and departed. I examined the two windows that had caused the earlier problem and found they were not made to the pressure specifications that I had paid for. I began calling the installation manager and explained what had happened. After phone calls and e-mails to this installation manager, your store and to Atlanta, it became clear to me that nothing was going to be done to address this. In August 2014, I was eventually able to make contact with an individual who had taken over as the installation service manager, Jim Swedenburg. He eventually put me in contact with a representative at PGT windows who insisted that the two windows in question were made to the correct specifications. I requested the documentation or stickers to show this and that would resolve this matter. He immediately refused to do this saying he couldn’t just send them out per my request. I then agreed to e-mail photos of the stickers on these two windows to show the specifications. Mr. Swedenburg later told me that he couldn’t believe why no one wanted to believe me on this matter. He eventually told me the windows would be manufactured again and installed. I returned to my condo in late August since the windows were expected to be made in early September. On September 16, 2014, two installers arrived at my condo and began the installation. It quickly became apparent that they were not going to have an easy installation and they advised me the windows were and frac34; inch too wide. It took them several hours to install two windows. During the installation stucco on the outside of the condo was broken away and the inside walls were broken in different places near the window frames. The damaged areas were filled in by the installers. I will now have to paint this room. I have done three projects with your store since November 2013. The other two installations were completed in a satisfactory manner. I am very displeased that it took so long for Home Depot personnel to respond to my problem and assist me in getting the factory to make the windows that I paid for. This became a very aggravating situation that should not have happened. While customer relations may not be of great concern, PGT is causing your installers a lot of extra work.

I had them for the carpet installation and I wasn't happy with that. So I had them come back again and finish something that wasn't installed right. They did okay and they were fine.

I was happy with them. They have somebody that they use for the installation but you go back to Home Depot if you have a problem and they deal with the issue, and that is what I like about them. I have used them in the past too. They are excellent all the way through.

They asked when would be the best time for delivery. We asked for delivery after 1:00 p.m. on Saturday but anytime after 12:00 p.m. would be fine. They called to notify us that the delivery would be between 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. My husband went back to the store to let salesman know there was a problem since they were told that the washer could be delivered and that would not be a problem. The salesman denied saying that the requested delivery time (afternoon delivery on Saturday) would not be a problem. My husband then asked to speak to the manager of the store. By the time this all was over, we canceled our entire order.

This was a good experience. They moved all the furniture out and when they were done they moved it all back in again. They took care of everything and did a good job. We would use them again for more work.
Description of Work: We purchased carpeting for two rooms from them. They then subcontracted out the work to another company to do the installation. They did this work for us about a year and a half ago.

After the installation the flooring panels pushed together and buckled making obvious raised joints. The installers removed the molding on one wall and chiseled away some of the flooring that was tight to the wall. They didn't think it would help and said we would probably get a new floor. Home Depot sent out an inspector who said that the problem was moisture and that he would make a report. After several months, the assistant manager at Home Depot said that since we had a moisture problem, they were not liable for the damage. We have had carpeting in this area for 8 years. There has never been a moisture problem with our floor. I had carpeting replaced in other areas of the house - the company sent an inspector to check for moisture. He told me we have no moisture problem. I feel that the installation was done incorrectly. Home Depot maintains that I signed a waiver releasing them from blame if there is a moisture problem - they refused to discuss it any further.
Description of Work: We purchased laminate flooring at Home Depot and contracted for installation by them. The work was done as scheduled. Before the work was started, the Home Depot installers tested for moisture.
