Marginal at best and never returned calls for work that they agreed to do in the future. Shame on you Craig.

I am so pleased with every part of the process from start to end with Handy Vets! My husband and I purchased an older home a few years ago that needed a lot of work to update it. So we have had our fair share of contractors and such with our remodel. The bathroom had already been remodeled about 2 years ago unfortunately the cast iron drain pipes collapsed and we had to rip everything out to the studs again. We had a plumber do the plumbing work, it was quite an extensive project. Once we were at the point of picking out new tile I started calling around to get estimates. Craig(the owner) was very professional, punctual, very friendly and gave the best estimate for our repairs. So of course we chose them! The first day, Craig (the tiler) showed up on time and he too was very friendly. He took the time to speak with me to get a clear picture of what my husband and I were looking for. He was able to point us in the right direction and explain to us why some if the things we were thinking of doing wouldn't look right. I greatly appreciated his input and glad we listened to what he said because he was totally right! Craig kept his work area very clean. Which from my our previous experiences the contractors were quite messy and that's what I expected since it is construction. At the end of the day you would have no clue there was construction going on in our house except for the beautiful tile work. Craig was very thorough and took his time to do a wonderful job. Heck, Craig even took the time to pet and let my dog Penny warm up to him. She was adopted and is nervous around new men coming to the house. She can be quite annoying with her barking and he was patient with her and it was very appreciated! As for the drywall work they were able to blend the seams flawlessly and you can't even tell where the patches are. My husband and I are in love with the end result! We couldn't be more pleased with the professionalism and work ethics if this company. I've been recommending them to anyone that is doing any work around their house! The only advice I'd give and something I learned from the process is that you should be specific on the types of tile you are planning on using. We chose subway tile and were not aware how much of a labor difference there was. Which I guess if you think about it, it definitely makes sense. Smaller tile means more cuts, more grout, etc. Luckily, Handy Vets were very understanding of this fact and were very accommodating on our lack of knowledge.

Adam called me and scheduled an appointment. He arrived on time and did not waste anytime completing the task of running a coax cable through my attic to an interior wall. He completed the job as I requested and was done in about half an hour. I appreciated the assistance on the job that was not overly difficult, but I was unable to do it myself. I would definitely contact the company if I needed assistance with a project in the future.

These guys are great! They are honest up front and will tell you if the repair you seek is not in their skill set. However, the work they do is excellent and reasonably priced. I've got a lot more for them to do and will be calling them again!

SnapFix recommended Handy Vets for our project. They came, they saw, they conquered! Very speedy service, good pricing, clean working habits, polite people. I'll definitely be holding onto their info for future projects.

We had 9" X 40" plank porcelain tile to lay in Living Room, Family Room, Dining Room/Office, & Kitchen. Craig did a beautiful, meticulous job for us. We like their job so much, he is coming back to lay some more of the same tile, in another area, for us in the near future.

I initially contacted handy gets because of all the good reviews they have, and the idea behind who the employ and train. But after my experience, I won't be contacting them again. My initial contact went well and I scheduled an appointment to have some minor electrical work done. The day before my appointment, I got a phone call saying they they would have to reschedule due to being too busy to get to my house. I understood, and we rescheduled for the following day. The technician was 20-30 minutes late the next morning. Again, not a big deal, but my wife had to stay home from work to wait for him. He fixed one issue, and looked at another one. He told us he would need a second tech to fix the electrical problem, so he stated he would have the office get back to us regarding another appointment and an estimate regarding some other work to be done (window replacement). Come 2 months later, we hadn't heard from anyone at the company. I called and spoke to Craig, who apologized for the incident and stated he would get in contact with the tech that came out to our house to get more details and to schedule a follow up. I was supposed to receive a phone call the next day. It has now been 2 weeks and I have, once again, not heard from anybody. Not the kind of customer service I want to deal with.

My husband and I have a villa and rental unit in Ft Myers located in the same community. We needed repairs in both places such as replacing weather stripping, replacing a shower door, finishing off some cabinet molding, and finishing a tray ceiling in a kitchen. The gentleman was very nice who took my call and due to my husband being out of town constantly, we arranged a time that worked for us. A young man came out, we showed him what needed done, and he said he would phone us with an estimate. This was on September 9. A couple of days later, this young guy tells us that they just got a huge assignment and that they wouldn't be able to get to our work until the end of October!!! Are you kidding me? Why wouldn't he have stated this during our initial meeting or better yet, when I first called to set up a meeting. We have our renters moving in mid October. We were really counting on this company to help us. From there we went out of town and another week has gone by now we're scrambling to find a handyman. I have to say, I have had really bad luck with referrals from Angie's List. In fact of all the vendors I've used, none of them have been any good at all. I think what happens is that when people aren't happy, they aren't voicing their opinions. Just the good reviews are going on here. Very disappointing and a waste of our valuable time!

I realized I was having trouble with the GFI outlets in my house unfortunately it was very late in my stay in FL. I had 2 days to remedy the problem, I called 5 electrical companies and had little to no response , Craig agreed to come out and explained for nothing more he would take a look at the work. He diagnosed the problem and went to work to correct it that day. Thank you Craig for your concern and remedy of the problem!

Very nice when came for estimate. On day of job the handyman started by taking down blinds. He did a nice job keeping everything together ( we are in a rental). He started on putting up curtain rods without checking with me first. The curtains and rods were by each window. He hung the first rod Waaay to low. Said he would come back to patch up holes and never did. Other rods he hung to high in another room. Ain't it was a short term rental wasn't worth the extra holes to fix everything. The appraiser forgot a whole room, but they were fair and gave me the agreed upon price.

The work was never done as the organization never followed up on their commitment. Believe the job was too small and that it was not a priority. A good handy man is hard to come by and was anticipating this would be a good experience.

They were fine. It was $199 for four hours of home repair. They did not charge anything extra. It was a couple of different guys, they were fine. I would probably not them again. The guys were nice and they did a good job. It's just that I asked them a couple of follow up things and I didn't hear from anybody. I don't like to chase down someone that I am trying to pay to do work. They had different guys that did different things, it's not like one handyman doing all the work. It was just the follow-up and that's why I wouldn't use them again, but they didn't do a bad job. It's not like they did a bad job. I think they did good work for what I asked them to do.

Fantastic! Clean, very kind and helpful. Did a GREAT job! We're having them come back to replace two rusty water valves under a sink.

It was great. They came out to see what areas we wanted done that would meet the deal we purchased. Luckily it was what we were expecting. The workers came on time and we're very professional. We were very happy with the work done.

Adam arrived on time and did the work very well. Cleaned out the dryer vent and the vent on the roof.

As a former Florida licensed general contractor, I appreciate professionalism and cooperation among subs. The workmen who came to my home were some of the most competent and professional craftsmen that I have ever experienced. Their attitudes were both courteous and helpful. Very few subs are willing to take off their shoes to avoid soiling the carpet. These gentlemen did. They left our home clean and usable after each day's work, and planned their work to create minimum household disruption. They finished the job within the time frame promised and for the exact price promised. I certainly intend to use this company again, and I highly recommend them based on the above experience.

I called on Sunday knowing I would get an answering machine. I didn't! Greg took the call saying he would get back with me after he checked his schedule. He returned my call on Monday and thought he could set something up for Friday, 6/3/15. I told Greg that if the work could be completed earlier in the week it would be much appreciated. I was informed that a employee would call and set up the schedule. A very nice young man called Wednesday morning and said he was leaving the office and would be here ASAP. He got here went right to work and got everything completed in approx. two hours. The location of the faucet fix (behind the garbage disposal and with the R/O system in place) would have caused me many issues, heartaches and much more time. We hired, for the first time, a company called Handy Vets, to come and replace a motion light outside, and to balance the ceiling fan in one bedroom. Thirty minutes, tops? Nope. A pleasant young man came on time. He said he was not, himself, a veteran, but helps train veterans. Ceiling fan: he quickly identified the problem of its wiggling motion, and fixed it. Five minutes. The motion light: An hour and a half, because the wiring was peculiar and the guy could not figure it out, although he tried and tried and tried. We'd end up with two other lights staying on all the time for the motion light to work. He finally had to call for help. Older fellow came. Five minutes, done. The young man started to charge me for an hour and a half of labor, but then easily agreed he should have been able to do it within an hour. So we will give them a try for something else. Later, we had trouble adjusting the light. Called, and the young fellow came right away. They say they train and employ veterans, and we want to support that. If the next one is not a veteran, we won?t call them again

Very professional, on time for estimating.

If someone wants a job done right and within proper time, these are the people I would highly recommend you call for any job around the home. If he can't do it, he is honest and up front. I spent 35 years in this trade as a mechanical supervisor, chief engineer, and a chief maintenance manager and can tell that he really knows what he is doing with his work.

As previously stated but to add, I added a few things to my 'to list' and they handled it with no problem. They did not bill me for the services until the list was finished. I will definitely use them again and have recommended them to my family members and friends.

Everything went better than expected. Fast to call back, courteous careful workers; everything fixed just the way we had hoped for. AND the company trains and hires VETS! A great thing!

It went alright, the quality of the sheet rock seam repair on my ceiling could have been better.
