The man that came to change the light was fast, honest, and did a good job. I was very impressed that they accommodated my schedule.

Work was performed in an excellent manner. Very neat and clean. Shelves look great. Will use this service again in the future. Highly recommend this company.

It went pretty good. The drywall came out pretty good and they have given me estimates on other work I am considering having done. They were able to come out within a reasonable timeframe and I am happy with their work.

Handy Vets was excellent!! I bought an older house which needs some work. The main bath has a very old step down shower which was damaged near the drain. First, Craig (the owner) came out and looked at the problem. The next day, another Craig came out and quickly resolved the problem. Not only did he support an area that had been washed away around the drain by leaking water, he also meticulously retiled the area around the drain. It was a great job! He even offered suggestions as to how to upgrade the shower without dire warnings about catastrophes or pressure to do it immediately. There is no doubt I will be using this company again and strongly recommend it to all!

We purchased a BIG DEAL back at the end of April for $249 for 6 hours of carpentry from HANDY VETS. Between the two of us we have had much difficulty in getting this item completed. We first wanted to wait a bit, to get things settled into our new home. Then we called them and they came out to look at the job (Later August) then they handed us an estimate requiring a large amt of additional cash to complete the job. This caused us to pause for a bit while we looked into things. We were trying to get the materials that would be needed. At this time, a major personal family change came up also. We very well may be selling our home, due to getting our grandchildren given to us as guardians/adoptive parents. Due to this change we would not be needing this service. I wrote to Craig of Handy Vets and asked him if he would be adverse to returning our funds and cancelling this job. He told us he would allow it and even support it but that I needed to talk to Angie's list and allow them to do the refund to get the full amount back. Following the delays that have occurred we cannot use this item. The people at Handy Vets are very cordial. They are being very supportive with our attempts to get a refund. We got no service, and due to circumstances we could really use the refund to tend to the other family item mentioned. THANK YOU!

They were fantastic and very professional. I haven't hired them but I spoke to them over the phone.

The owner, Craig, emailed me back the very same day I first emailed him thru Angie's List (10/13/14). I called him per his instructions in the email however, despite being the owner, he said I need to speak to the person who does the type of job I need for the company. He said that person keeps their own schedule and would have him call me. The person never did. On 10/23/14, I rec'v a voicemail from Craig, which I returned, but he just told me the same thing. Today is 10/31/14 and I have still heard nothing from the person I apparently need to speak to get the job done. I understand that this is the beginning of season in Florida but this is not the way to treat any potential customer.

Initial scheduling conflict, but worked out great.

Very professional group of guys. Had some stuff fall through the ceiling in the garage. Needed drywall replaced. They did the work in an efficient manner and didn't try to "milk" the job. I was very satisfied with the service.

They came to the house. They were made that they had to come from Cape Coral. They looked at the job and left. They said there was someone else in my unit and pulled out of the job. The whole time he acted like he just wanted out of the job and didn’t want to do it. He was very rude. I don’t think you should treat customers that way especially when you have a job that involves customer service.

Very well...guys were very professional, organized and timely...all work accomplished in a timely manner. Am quite pleased.

This company has a great premise: take returning veterans and train them to do quality handyman work in all sorts of different aspects. Our initial contact was with Craig B and before settling on a price, he brought his top trainer, Craig C over to help with ideas for the bathroom. If you note what we had done, they were two huge jobs and they performed in a stellar manner. I'm always somewhat hesitant when someone calls themself a "handyman" to know just how much complex stuff they can handle. Craig C handled it all superbly with the help of different crew members on different days. Craig C is a master craftsman as well as a perfectionist, qualities you want in someone who is remodeling your home as well as training their returning vets. As stated in other reviews, the crew is neat, courteous, very hardworking and just downright nice. They have a real work ethic that is so seldom seen today. We wouldn't hesitate to call on them again. Great job guys!

I was very happy with them. I thougth they were a class operation in everything they did. Dealing with them was great from the office staff to the workmanship.

I must say that I have nothing but positive comments for this provider. They were great and I will use them again.

A very nice young man showed up, went right to work and had the gutters cleaned out in no time.

It was a great experience. The workers are respectful and considerate. They laid down drop cloths throughout the house so they wouldn't track in, they also cleaned up every time they were finished for the day. I will not say how much I spent but they were the third estimate I obtained and they wanted half of what the other contractors wanted. I have already scheduled them to do more work for me.

The project went very well and I would definitely hire Handy Vets again. We had to leave down for a few days and Tim and his company came in when expected, did an excellent job sheet rocking two bathrooms and a hallway and also perfectly matched the texture of the drywall in the rest of the house. They took pictures for us every day and texted them over so we could see the work as it was being done. My fiancé is a Naval Academy grad and is very particular and we both have very high standards with construction and Handy Vets who did an excellent job and are very trustworthy and hard working. We would definitely hire them again for this type of work.

Nothing but waste my time and not show up for appointments

They're great! I’ve used them several times. I’d say they’re my go-to handymen at this point. Their pricing is good and they work very quickly.

Outstanding people to work with. The young man that led the crew, Craig, was the most polite, punctual, informative hard working young man I have dealt with in a long time. Everyone that worked with him followed his lead. They always cleaned up before leaving and made sure that the house was all "put back together". Craig Blume made sure that I was happy with everything and went out of his way to make it all come together. The project in my kitchen was beyond my expectations. It is beautiful. I plan on doing some additional work in the future and they will be the first people I call.

We were required by our insurance company to use other contractors, however we wanted to put in a good word about Handy Vets. I spoke to Craig by phone and he was on my front doorstep the next morning exactly when he said would be there. His professionalism and knowledge were very appreciated, and when I received his quote, I was very impressed. We can't comment on the caliber of their work since we were not able to use them, but if our initial impression of them was any indication of the work they would provide, we would highly recommend them.

Really can't say enough good things about this company. We had a nightmare experience with an electrician (see my review of R's Electric) and these guys fixed all the mess that we were left with as a result. Additionally, they performed all the work listed above and did it all in a truly professional way. They were always on time, worked constantly. I had to convince them to stop for some lunch! They are a polite group of guys, do everything that they promise to do and more! They left every day and cleaned up their work area - even vacuumed. I just wish there was an A+++ rating because they deserve it.

Craig arrived on time. He and his co worker both had a clean apperance and were ready to do the lifting I needed them to do. They removed both the couch and the recliner effiecently without damaging anything in the surrounding area. Both men worked very quickly and were very polite. I would definetly call them again with any help or problems surrounding my home if need be. I had first contacted Craig on Sunday, a day that he is closed but he contacted me back almost immediately and was very professional. I need him on a Monday before 10am and he made to my house with time to spare. Thanks Craig!!!!!
