+ 0 moreIt did not go well. The 4 year old ac that they installed was leaking water into the house again after they did maintenance and repair work 11 months ago for the same thing charging $880. They refuse to fix it because they say it is a maintenance problem even though it had maintenance 11 months ago and their own maintenance policy is annual. They are showing a complete lack of integrity. This family has 3 severely autistic children who don’t need mold problems added to the difficulties they already have. They need to make this right.

+ -1 moreThere were 2 technicians who showed up to replace the unit (the air handler suspended inside our garage and the compressor outside on the pad). They did an excellent job while working quickly and efficiently. We were told that someone would be out to replace the fuse in out electric panel before the City inspector would come because the specs on the unit only called for a 25 amp and we had a 30 amp. A couple of days later, Dan came out and replaced the fuse and the City inspector came a few days after that. The inspector was impressed by the install and told my husband and me that the Company had done a good job. The unit itself is quieter and more efficient than our old one which means we barely hear it and our electric bill is slightly lower. All good since the unit runs 24/7 for 350 days each year (we live in southwest Florida).
Description of Work: While Florida Heat & Air has maintained the unit they installed 11 years ago and it was still working, my husband and I decided to replace the unit with a new 2-1/2 ton system. So we talked to Dan and Chase about our choices and when we would like to do it. Then we made the appointment for Florida Heat & Air to come out and put it in.

+ -1 moreI called Florida heat and Air because my A/C (new, under 3 years) wasnt cooling to the set temperature in the afternoons.
Description of Work: Dan (owner) of Florida Heat & Air met me at my condo at the time designated and not only did he check our A/C unit for the issue I had called about . It wasnt able to meet the temperature it was set at, tho it was cooling. It turns out, the unit is fine, and runs great, but I had set it too high for when we were gone during the day, and it was having a hard time cooling to our evening desired temperature. He cleaned it thoroughly, checking every area and even checked to make sure it was draining properly outside. He spent 3 HOURS at our condo, making sure everything was 100% OK ! (it is a new unit - under 3 years and had never been serviced, so he wanted to check everything.) He even programed it for me (or UN programmed it, I should say) so it would better suit my needs. He was fair, honest, kind, professional...I can't think of enough adjectives to describe the visit. I will definetly use Florida Heat and Air, Inc., and I will refer them to everyone I know that is in need of service.Lois Ross

+ -1 moreThey did a great job. This work was done prior to my arriving at the location. Everything was cleaned and left in better shape than it was before they arrived.
Description of Work: I purchased a condo in Fort Myers that had a very old air conditioner. Florida heat and air gave me an estimate and installed a new air conditioning system. They also discovered and repaired some ductwork problems.

Description of Work: Furnace would short circuit in cold weather when auxiliary heat should come on. Dan identified and fixed a very obscure problem.
