I have used them many times...for intial installation, maintenance and repair when I stupidly let the lift run without attendance and it burned out a motor. Dolphin are Great guys. Dock lifts have a number of marginal business companies...this is not one of them., for instance one neighbor had a company that demanded a $5000 deposit and they never returned, another paid $2000 ...same thing happened. I don't think Dolphin asked me for a deposit. They are trustworthy.

Many years ago Dolphin installed the 20,000 pound (4 winch) boat lift at the house I subsequently purchased, and I suspect the previous owners never serviced it. When I finally got around to getting it serviced (which should be done once a year), all the winches were squealing so much on the downstroke that we were embarrassed to use it... plus one winch occasionally free-wheeled its cable into the canal. Anyway, two service folks from Dolphin came when they promised, lubricated everything (there's a surprising number of points to lubricate) and replaced the belt on the free-wheeling winch. Now it is (relatively) silent, no more loose cable spiralling out into the canal, and all four winches seem to synchronized... I don't have to keep adjusting them to the same height. All that for a hundred and fifty bucks.

They sent a repairman over pretty promptly and the problem was fixed within less than a week. They sent a bill a few days later instead of demanding payment on the spot.
