Over the weekend, we were facing a troubling situation with our air conditioning and Lance was able to come out. Lance wasted no time in getting to the root of the problem. With a thorough inspection, he quickly identified that the connections from our attic to the vents were off. It was a relief to finally have an understanding of what was causing our cooling issues. Lance's professionalism and attentiveness were immediately evident as he meticulously worked to rectify the situation. One of the standout moments of Lance's service was his use of this "mastic" stuff to seal the connections properly. Overall, I cannot recommend Lance and CoolAir Conditioning highly enough. From his prompt response to his thorough approach to problem-solving, Lance demonstrated a level of professionalism and expertise that is hard to come by. If you're ever in need of HVAC services, look no further than Lance and CoolAir Conditioning. They have certainly earned a loyal customer in me!
Description of Work: Our air conditioning did not cool like it did before and now that the heat is here we really noticed our unit working hard while the house wasn't cooling well. We had our vents from the attic the the conditioner sealed.

I recently had CoolAir Conditioning send their technician Troy over to my house for a maintenance check on my unit, and I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received. He took the time to thoroughly inspect my unit and discovered a mold issue that had been overlooked by previous service providers. Troy took proactive steps to tackle the root cause. He diligently cleaned the affected area and the coils, ensuring that every trace of mold was eradicated. What truly impressed me was his suggestion to install a UV light system to prevent future mold growth—a proactive solution that other companies had never proposed. He even went the extra mile to inspect the ducts in my home, ensuring that the mold hadn't spread. I wholeheartedly recommend CoolAir Conditioning to anyone in need of HVAC services. Their dedication to customer satisfaction and proactive approach set them apart from the rest. Thank you, Troy, and the CoolAir team, for your outstanding service!
Description of Work: Service maintenance which lead to better piece of mind that the tech removed the mold and it is now being prevented.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! The ONLY reason I chose Coolair is because I was friends with of the owners. All of the following is documented with photos, emails and texts. A few months after Coolair installed the new unit, I went to change the air filter and was surprised that I couldn't find one. I called and asked Coolair where it was over the phone and determined that it was never installed. THE INSTALLER NEVER PUT IN AN AIR FILTER! This was negligence on their part. I asked them to send someone out right away to put in the filter and no one ever showed. I eventually replaced it myself. BUT THE COILS WERE ALREADY IMPACTED! I emailed pictures to Coolair to show them. I should have made them replace everything back then. Over the next 3 years, I had Coolair come and service the unit twice out of concern that the poor installation would have a long-term effect on the unit... and it did. The unit Coolair installed only lasted a little over 3 years. After talking to one of the owners, she informed me that because I did not sign up for their yearly maintenance program, there was nothing they could do. I WAS SHOCKED. I thought for-sure they would stand by their installation and product. NOPE! Coolair then charged me almost $700 to install a fan that had burnt out also due to the poor installation. Not wanting to argue, I paid Coolair. I waited over a week in 90+ degree weather with 3 kids and a dog for the fan to arrive. As they were installing the new fan, the installers told me the fan would not work because now because the compressor is also burnt out and that would cost me almost another $2000 to replace and would take another week! I then contacted one of the owners and respectfully expressed my frustration with the entire situation. She said it was my fault for not cleaning the unit with Coolair services and that the fan and compressor burnt out because I should have used them. Coolair finally told me that they would NOT finish the job even if I paid them. That no matter what they did I would not be happy. Even with a signed contract, they walked off the job leaving me and my family with no AC in JUNE. She said “Find another AC company to finish the job”. I DO NOT RECOMMEND using Coolair. I have no idea how they have any good ratings but I suggest you check out their 2 out 5 stars on Agie and their 2 out 5 stars on Yelp.

Company has decided after many trips to not stand behind a yearly paid 5 year labor contract and walked off job leaving me with no AC in 95* weather. First let me say that whenever a customer leaves a bad review the owner always comes on with the same paragraph of how the customer either threatened his employees, used vulgar language or didn’t pay their bill. He will then go into a major dispute on EVERY SINGLE bad review. Go to google and click the drop down list to see the bad reviews. His disputes all read the same. I have read them all! I purchased an AC unit from them 4-1/2 years ago. At the time I was told that if I took the 149.00 yearly service preventative maintenance agreement with 2 checkups a year the labor would be covered on a new unit. I have 40 invoices for trips that they have made in 4 years. Six months after installation, the condenser coil went out. After many trips for different things now last week the evaporation coil needed to be replaced. They replaced it and came to the door and then said I needed a new compressor which had been working fine until the coil was put in. Next day a new compressor was put in. Under warranty work. Same day the compressor was put in that night the unit started making a terrible noise outside and started blowing hot air. They sent the same 2 men out again which took 2-1/2 hours and still could not diagnose problem. Now they are telling me that I took a power surge and the contactor is fried, yet he replaced the contactor so makes no sense that it still does not work. I was told they were not going to stand behind anymore labor work per the boss (which I had listened to his intimidation tactics on the phone on Tuesday telling me that after this work was done there would be no more. I had said that I was paid through December and then we would sever ties at that time. We agreed and I actually have that on my phone recording. When I questioned the warranty contract that they have been covering for 4 years, M*** P (owner) changed the story to the fact that they had recommended a surge protector back in 2018 and at the time I could not afford it so that is why he is not going to stand behind his labor contract. If that is the case.....the surge protector is listed in the recommendations on the trip ticket just like all the other expensive things they list in the "recommendations" such as an expensive UV light and basically things they try to sell each time they come out. There should be a wording on the paperwork then that states if these recommendations are not followed it will void your labor contract. It's funny that they have come back and covered things for 2 years after recommending that but now when something big is happening they decide to walk out on the customer and leave a senior citizen sitting in a 90 degree mobile home with no air conditioning. I have been told by numerous employees over and over again that my unit is a "piece of crap" but when they sold it to me it was the best thing since sliced bread. I realize it was not top of the line which I could not afford either. Had they said it was a crappy unit I would obviously not purchased it. I am well aware of how the owner works as far as bad reviews and coming back on to bash the customer. Coolair is always right, not the customer. Its a shame. As far as my 149.00 I paid for the 2 services that were to be done in June (which was already done) and then upcoming in December (which will not be done) I called to ask for my 75.00 refund of my money. I was told that even then he was going to prorate it and rip me off just a little but more. Bad enough he charged me 210.00 for freon but yet he did not charge for freon when they came out to replace the other coil and also they came out on another call where they put freon in and did not charge. So inconsistent. Today, one of the employees actually told me not to try and take them to court. Wonder why that was said but of course he said "you didn't hear that from me" For as long as I have dealt with this company I rarely have seen the same person more than twice and early on each and every employee would talk about the owner. Doesn't say alot about him for sure. Addendum: the same day the serviceman were instructed to leave me without my unit working I had another company come out. They got the unit up and running in 30 minutes. The previous cool air service techs were very incompetent to say the least. I quote from my new air-conditioning Company’s trip ticket... "found 120 V wire hooked up to 240 V coil of compressor contactor. Contactor coil, fan relay coil and transformers all shorted out because of being wired incorrectly. Correctly wired unit and replaced defective components" so basically $268 later I'm paying yet still for the incompetence of Coolair employees. Not to mention the fact that Coolair employees released all the Freon into the air by simply wrapping a towel around it to disguise it. Pretty sure that is an illegal action. Good thing I had a witness and also a video. Both times they released Freon into the air. What a shame....... now it’s time for the owner to come on here with his usual rant. PLEASE... read the 1-2 and 3 star reviews on google before proceeding on your decision to hire an ac contractor.

When we had our CoolAir semiannual A/C checkup in July of 2017 there were two people who came to the house. The service tech checked the unit and said we had a freon leak. We hadn’t noticed any cooling problem but he said we had a leak and showed us where it was. The second person was obviously a salesman and gave us a few options on repair/replace which ranged from about $900 for a possible “stop leak” fix with no guarantee to $3000-$4000 for a new unit. Either way freon was going to be about $75 a pound. I wanted a second opinion as this was not the first time two people from CoolAir have shown up and the second person wanting to do something. The second A/C service person came out, inspected the unit and couldn’t find a leak visually or using his leak detector. He said the unit was fine. All summer the unit worked great. Freon with his company was about $25! I wanted to wait and post this until after the new A/C Company came out for the semi-annual checkup. No issues and freon was fine.

Outstanding. First I contacted the company. Then someone called me back to "triage" my situation and ask specific questions. They then offered me an add on appointment later in the day or a specific scheduled appointment today. ANOTHER lady called to confirm the appointment time. The technician called 30 minutes prior. Their service call fee was $29 and that is ALL THEY CHARGED ME!!!!

I had the extreme unfortunate displeasure of dealing with this crooked company in the summer of 2006 or 2007. The salesman came out to my home, was incredibly friendly and helpful to sell me a new 4 ton 14 seer Carrier A/C unit and new ductwork. The estimate was $8,000 something. I believe the ductwork was around $1500, and the A/C was the rest. When the project started, the installers went up into the attic and said, "Oh you don't need new ductwork." Bearing in mind, my house was built in 1984. So, it's like 20+ years old at this point. THEY decided not to replace the ductwork, and then the project was completed in 4 hours. I wouldn't sign off on the paperwork until the owner reduced the price of my final bill by not replacing the ductwork. HE REFUSED!!! He also WOULD NOT get it permitted by the city. He said I had outstanding permits on my house, and therefore it wasn't his responsibility to follow the rules. Because I wouldn't sign off on the order for him to receive payment, until he reduced my bill by $1500 for the unreplaced ductwork, HE BEGAN HOUNDING ME AT MY WORKPLACE. I was working as a Loan Officer at Wachovia Bank at that time. He was a business customer with Wachovia Bank. He BEGAN TO THREATEN ME AT MY JOB, THAT HE WAS GOING TO PULL HIS BUSINESS ACCOUNTS FROM THE BANK UNLESS I SIGNED THE ORDER!!!!! This had nothing to do with my our transaction, but he was using threats and shady tactics to get me to pay him. I was soooo young at the time this happened. I was only 22 years old, that I didn't know what to do. I panicked, was upset, and signed the paperwork under duress. He SCAMMED ME out of $8k, for MERELY AN A/C unit. To this very day, I HAVE NEVER FORGOTTEN THIS INCIDENT. I will NEVER do business with this company again, I will fear them every time I drive past their stupid vans or signage, and I will WARN EVERY SINGLE PERSON I encounter to stay clear of these crooks. It was honestly THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! (No Exaggeration)
