He was working me for a while and messed up the job.  He never showed up, didn’t return my calls, owes me $1000 and was totally not responsive.  He had couple of Mexicans working for him and they did a lousy job, which he was supposed to correct and he didn’t turn back.  I wouldn’t recommend him and will never use the services again.

Terry Schmidt kept delaying the door installation, giving one excuse after the other and then finally saying that all the doors had arrived. Then he asked for more money saying he had over $8,000  tied up in the doors. I asked him to show me he paid for the doors and he never came back. I found out that the doors were never ordered and he admitted that he lied to me.
He also told me that he had a building permit and the fact is that one was never even applied for.
Terry Schmidt has admitted to both of these and said he would refund our money, It has been months and many  phone calls, he doesn't answer the phone or call back.

He told me at one point that it would cost me more to get my money back and that he is good at delaying discovery and could stretch it out for a year or more.

He also almost never worked a full day on the site showing up usually between 9-10 AM and leaving by 1-PM, often he did not show up the tools or materials the he needed. Many days he would say he would arrive at a certain time but would never show up and we waited for him all day. Not even enough courtesy to call and tell us he wasn't coming.

The quality of his work was often poor and many items needed to be redone, finishes and paint didn't match, items were not level, plaster not even close to being level , 3 inch screws were left protruding through the top of shelve, etc.

We found Terry Schmidt to be dishonest, careless, manipulative and a very eloquent liar.
When we interviewed him he went on and on about how much of a perfectionist he was, how his colors match perfectly, how smooth and perfect his finished are etc, etc. Quite the contrary!

If you are doing business with Terry Schmidt or considering it you should run not walk away!
