Our provider was professional, thorough, and courteous. We were so impressed we signed a contract for their home care services.

DO NO USE THESE PEOPLE!!!! The "deal" from Angie's list was for a discount of $44 for plumbing visit. Pre paid. I thought this $44 was going towards work to be done. NOPE, that was just the "discount" cost of getting them into the house! Then they said it would cost another $180 if it was a simple repair or $700 to break a hole in the wall from the room behind the shower if they need to replace the shower faucet. I was out $44 now, they were here and I gave up and paid them to replace a simple washer (probably costing 35cents. What a rip off!!

The two gentlemen that did the work at my home were prompt, friendly, professional. They were dressed neatly and wore shoe covers in my house - even though they had to take them on and off every time they went in and out of the house. They worked straight through the day and I didn't even notice when they took a little time to eat their lunches. They cleaned up all of their work areas and were meticulous about putting stuff back where it had been originally. An awesome job and I appreciated how friendly they were. Thanks so much!!

It worked out good. They were good. They came out promptly and fixed my problem.

The technician Perry called approximately 15 minutes before he was scheduled to arrive to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived (right on time), he was very professional and informative. I had a leaky outside faucet on my lanai. I explained what it was doing and he took time to look things over. He explained what my Angie's List coupon covered and there were no surprises. He went right to work and replaced the outside faucet and solved my problem very quickly. He then took the time to review everything with me and provide a copy of the final invoice. There were no surprises. Everything was done according to the coupon purchased and at the exact cost. I was looking for a good reliable and professional plumber as some of my past experiences were plumbers who were much more interested in upselling than doing the job they were asked to do. I am extremely satisfied and will use these guys whenever I need a plumber.

They were excellent. They were very prompt. I liked everything. They were very well dressed. They took very well care of my home. They cleaned up after themselves perfectly. I spent more than the "Big Deal".

They diagnosed the disposal. The cord from the disposal to the outlet was causing the disposal to not work. Once the adjustments were made to the disposal worked fine. I feel I was over charged for the service. They didn't replace anything just adjust the cord. I called the company regarding the billing they adjusted the price down to $100. I think I was gauged and I wouldn't go here again for service.

Excellent, professional and polite

Plumber was competent, clean and easy to work with and I agreed to the extra work when he gave me a written proposal. High price but no surprises. I knew the $99 was a loss leader and a business development technique to get him into the house. Nevertheless, I felt confident I was getting a reasonable price after watching him work and saw the proposal he wrote on the spot. If I had not liked the plumber, I would have let him go after the special deal. This house is 15 years old and needed the upgrades.

We had purchased an Angie's List "Big Deal" for this project, apparently normally this would have cost $189.00. Brian arrived at the arranged time for the repair. Very knowledgeable, friendly and polite. Installed a nice new spicket and repaired the hole he had to make for access to the pipe. All looks good. In addition he took a few minutes how to drain our water heater, which was very helpful. A mat for was placed on his work area, booties worn when entering into the house. We have more work to be done eventually around the house and will certainly contact Benjamin Franklin Plumbing for those areas to obtain quotes. If the pricing is reasonable we will hire them again.

Purchased special for cleaning out toilet drain. For some unexplained reason a drain camera was needed to find clog and Deal somehow changed and price went up to 360.00. OF course the clog was in the bath pipes. Another bait and Switch.

The Franklin Plumbing representative showed up on time and was very polite and professional. He took the time to assess the requests I had for his visit and made recommendations of other services that he could provide while on site. He explained the differences between the toilet I had purchased for him to install and those that he carried on his truck. These guys have a rolling store in their box trucks, which anybody who has ever self-performed any home plumbing repairs can appreciate. I went ahead and had him install my low budget toilet anyway, but took him up on the upgrade for a kitchen faucet and I am not disappointed in that choice. He made some additional repairs on valves and supply lines that needed attention and replaced the kitchen sink trap that was seriously corroded. I will definitely use Franklin Plumbing again in the future. We all eventually learn that we get what we pay for and I am of the opinion that these folks are worth the expense.

Amazingly smooth and stress free

Scheduled to arrive between 1 and 3 PM. Promptly arrived at 1 PM. Upon arrival, plumber put on paper foot gear to protect my floors and each time he made a trip to his truck and back again into the home, he replaced the paper foot gear. I thought that was a nice courtesy they provided. Highly recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumbing Co., Fort Myers, FL, as providing "A" class professional plumbing service; plus they guarantee both their work and plumbing products. Brian, their qualified, proficient Tech/Plumber, arrived on time and performed excellent job correcting my failed attempt on my "do-it-myself" repairing of a leaking bathroom sink, which he repaired and replaced the faucet, plus adjusted the shower head in my other bathroom. Brian was very helpful, friendly, and completed work in a timely manner. Prices and products are reasonably priced, especially through Angie's List promotional coupon, which earned a discount on my final price. Arrived first day and did plumbing work, digging out cement and placing new drain. Inspector from city came out next a.m. and approved work. Thay came out next day and cemented new drain in and set tub. Than called inspector to clear job. Inzpector came out next day and cleared job. Just like clock work.

Overall done well. I had to call him to come back to re-fix the leak but he came right back! Seems like the job is well done!

Company representative came to house on time. After looking over said could not use any of the existing plumbing even though house is only 3 years old. He would need to replace all piping from walls to sinks. Also found new kitchen faucet had damage to one of the pipes, good catch. Total quote was $1,787.00 minus the $200.00 coupon for total of $1587.00. The company would never give us an hourly rate only per job. Took me 30 minutes to re-install bathroom piping. Since checked with another plumber and they charge $350.00 for kitchen work.

Overall, a very pleasant experience. Brian was very knowledgeable about his craft and as polite as could be! He did all that was asked for and more.

The company was very professional, pleasant, and very helpful. They worked carefully and cleaned up after themselves. I had no problems with the work, but the price astonished me. For what they did, I believe that $900 is very excessive. They did supply the faucet and let me know what it was going to cost ahead of time. I needed to have the service done because the faucet wasn't working and the drain was backing up, so I didn't have much of a choice but to hire them. They were very accommodating and even looked at our ice maker for no charge, but the price was about three times what I was expecting to pay.

Overall, it went alright. They were professional and provided us with plenty information of what needed immediate attention and what repairs could wait.

I have been very frustrated with local "handymen" presenting themselves as licensed, insured professionals. I would rather pay for a true professional to come out and diagnose the correct problem and fix it in one trip than cheap out and get someone who really doesn't know for sure what they are doing. After messing around with so-called plumbers, I called Ben Franklin here in Ft. Myers. They came when they said they would, took the time to determine what was ACTUALLY wrong and quoted me a fair price for a professional that has to equip a real truck, and pay for license, insurance and education to keep up to date with current codes. He also pointed out two other problems that would have created me even more headaches, one he told me how to fix myslef, and the other he took care of for next to nothing since he was already there. I have had it with using "friends of friends" or "retired plumbers" who either don't know enough to be able to get a license or have lost it because of shoddy workmanship. Sure they are cheap, but not if you count having to have them come out over and over, and not if you count the damage they do that you can't recover because they don't have insurance, plus having to have it all ripped out and redone if you get caught without the right permits. The guy from Ben Franklin was worth every penny and I will call him again when I need plumbing work done.
