B & I CONTRACTORS INC

Our "personal rep" is slow at responding and when she does, she is short and does not give detailed answers. Invoices are not detailed and they charge more for labor than other vendors we are now using. Recent events that caused this review: Quoted us $900 to replace a part on an a/c unit so we got a second quote. Second vendor said part was under warranty and we ended up getting repair done for no charge. B&I obviously never looked up the serial number on the part or they would have known this. Second event that happened was they provided "maintenance" for a frozen unit and then contacted us two days later that the bill was up to $1400 and should they continue working on it. Excuse, me...what?? I received the invoice and there was a labor charge, but they do not include the total number of hours. When I questioned it and got the total number of hours, I calculated we were over charged by about $350.00. When I questioned our rep she ignored me at first and then gave me vague answers that didn't answer my question. When I finally emailed someone above her, she emailed me back and said she's issuing a credit for part of the labor. That's it. No response still on why we were overcharged for labor or even how much we are being credited. Third event, we asked for a quote to repair exhaust fans. They stated 5 were not working and then later "discovered" that two had the power switch off. Then our maintenance guy went on the roof and found that one more had no power going to it. He said it's something the a/c tech would have done and he's not sure if it was intentional or not, but he was able to reconnect it and got it working. They quoted $975 to repair that one and nothing was wrong with it! The techs are lazy and don't care about good customer service. We even had to request not to have a tech at a few locations because he made the staff feel uncomfortable. You would ask him details about the work that was just completed and he would just stand there and chuckle. He was so weird. Do not use this company unless you want to get ripped off.
