+ -1 moreWe have used Alpha Networks several times since moving to SW Florida in 2014. Our first experience was when we had a virus on our computer in February, 2015. We had been using security software that required permitting tech support personnel outside the U.S. to take control of our computer. That turned out to be a disaster. We brought our computer to Alpha Networks, they provided excellent service, and we haven't had a problem since. We've also purchased equipment from Alpha Networks and have been very happy with our purchase. While working, my spouse and I had the luxury of IT groups handling our computer problems. Since retiring, we've been on our own. We are delighted to have located Alpha Networks. Tony, Jeff and their staff provide outstanding service. They are helpful, deliver on their promises, and charge what we believe is a very reasonable cost for the peace of mind they have provided us.
Description of Work: My husband and I are repeat customers of Alpha Networks. Recently our wireless internet usage surged to the point where we had to pay our internet provider for extra data. We had no idea why that happened since we don't download movies, games, TV shows, etc. Alpha Networks immediately identified the cause and offered options for addressing the problem. Several of those options did not result in any cost to us.

+ -1 moreAlpha saved me $600. This company was trying to scam me and Alpha Networks walked me through what I needed to do so that I wouldn't get scammed by this other company. They didn't charge me 1 penny to help me. I am so relieved and will use Alpha for my computer repairs in the future.
Description of Work: I called Alpha to ask what I needed to do. I had a company in India tell me my IP address had been hacked and that I would loose all my money and information if I didn't let them in to my computer to fix it.

+ -1 moreThe IT tech from Alpha systems was professional and courteous, but just didnt seem to have a good grasp of how to diagnose and repair a small 3 computer network. Overall I found the experience frustrating, as I could have spent the day talking to a software support person myself for 5 hours. Since nothing was accomplished, I was shocked when presented with a bill for nearly $500 that was due on the spot.
Description of Work: I have used alpha networks in the past without a problem, however my last experience was very frustrating. The IT person sent to my office was not able to repair a relatively simple windows network problem. He spent 5 hours on the phone with a support person from the company that leases our software to us. He insisted the problem was with a corrupted program. After 5 hours of work we decided to stop him and told him we would let him do "some research into the matter" and continue the following week. We had a feeling the IT tech didn't understand the problem at hand, so we hired another tech. from the company that actually leases the software. He had to come in from out of town and charges for travel time. He recognized that our network was not communicating properly and reconfigured it, and solved our problem in a half hour, or less. He said the problem was not with the program, but was a network issue that should have been easily recognized and repaired.

+ -1 moreI am actually currently using them right now, however on my previous visit, they checked my computer after a lightning strike. They respond in the evenings and weekends. They make sure I get the cell number of the technician who is working on my computer. They are here when they say they will be and they will take all the time I need to answer all my questions. They are a very knowledgable staff and they are usually in and out quickly. I will absolutely continue to use Alpha Networks.

Description of Work: Had a laptop problem. Didn't want to go to a large firm (Staples, Office Depot, etc.) that would only sent it out. Found this one on Angies list. Read the reviews. Everything was accurate. Good experience. Good guys. Know their stuff. Will use them again.

+ -1 moreThey were able to bring my laptop back from the brink and turned it around in 24 hours. Great service and high competence.
Description of Work: Dell laptop showed the blue screen of death. They scanned in safe mode, cleaned infections and malware from my PC. Found and removed multiple infections, then installed Microsoft security essentials. Removed McAfee and AVG free edition.
