Description of Work: We had them install screening and a custom made railing for our upstairs porch/balcony. They custom-made the pieces to fit and made the railing to our specifications. Angie's list doesn't have a category for "screening" - just "screen repair." This was completed screening and NOT screen repair. They completely fabricated the whole screen and railing from scratch.

Description of Work: On 1/28/2010 we signed up for an aluminum fence with 9 concrete pilars in between the fence sections- We were told that 1-2 weeks after signing the contract and paying a portion of the cost will go by for them to get permitting, etc. Then the old fence will come down, the temporary construction fence will go up and the work will begin. The work began actually after 2 1/2 weeks with the old fence removal and digging 9 big holes in our backyard to make room for the footer of the concrete posts- Nothing then happend for 3 weeks after that, the sprinkler heads were not moved, the electric stuff was not moved, nothing-Then, after several phone calls we found out that the permit was held up due to a late submission. Finnally got the permit and the concrete posts were supposed to go up- it was delayed due to lack of material by 3 days! Then the next step, applying stucco to the posts were promised to us for the same week, but was delayed by a week again, without any explanation. Then the fence was supposed to go up- it went up in sections, again, 7-10 days in between completion of the fence sections- the concrete for the fence posts were not poured for another 1 week- the one fence section is too low and not straight, it needs to be repaired. The caps for the posts were delayed by 2 weeks, 2 caps are still not attached due to the fence section not being attached at the right hight. The backyard is dug up for the electrical installation of the lights for the fence posts, the lawn is dying or already dead- the trenches that were dug up are now covered with mud due to no attendance and no timely work on the electrical installation. We were told by the fence company on 4/8 that the city has to come out for the electrical inspection and depending on their okay, the electrical stuff would be completed by either 4/9 in the afternoon, or 4/10. Found out that the fence company never applied for the inspection yet, again, nobody showed up for work this week, the construction of the fence is not progressing. We were promised in front of witnesses that the fence would be up for sure by Easter. (several times) it is now 10 days after Easter and the fence is far from done, the sprinkler heads are not placed, the backyard is still dug up and we have to deal with getting a new lawn on top of the fence that alone was very expensive. The promises and assurance Mr. Below, the owner of the company, gave us, have not been true at all, we are still waiting for the completion of our fence, after 74 days!
