They could not get a permit in 5 months after contract signing and then Cancelled contract without Cause. This left me without a system and no Tax credit or savings from the system promised. The contract is written to favor them almost on every issue and is small print on the back of the sales agreement. I sent them a certified letter giving them more time to complete the work without a return response.

The panels worked well as far as warming the pool, but they didn't install correctly into the trusses, resulting in roof damage over the next 5 years. Panels not installed properly several years ago, causing major roof damage. When the company was notified of the roof damage, they came and took pictures and said they would review the situation, but they never got back to me. I had to pay $2,500 in roof repairs. .

The whole process was very professional. The sales person -- Michelle -- was knowledgeable, professional, and a was pleasure to do business with her. The installation team did an excellent job -- professional, on time and finished the project on time as promised. I would highly recommend Advanced Solar based on my experience.

Haven't even been able to get a schedule after weeks....Answer.....LOWSY!

Began work on Friday the day that was scheduled. Got rained out after 4 hours into the job. Came back on Saturday morning and completed the job.

Two guys came out from advanced Solar and Spa and found a clamp holding down my solar panel system was loose. They also explained the wood under the clamp was compromised and soft, they said they would not be putting the clamp back on and they would use all weather seal for the fix. Two day later still heard rain coming through my roof, I called Advanced Solar and Spa and talked with a very non professional and non customer oriented women by the name of Karen. She told me it was now my responsibility to fix the compromised wood in my attic that the clamp from the solar panel was originally attached to. And if I needed my panels removed again for a roofer I would need to pay Advance Solar again. Each person I spoke with at the Fort Myers Advanced Solar and Spa was not friendly and non customer oriented! I would not refer my worst enemy to Advanced Solar and Spa, My neighbors around me also have Solar Panels done by Advanced Solar and Spa and are having no problems.

Leak was repaired without problems. Remains leak free. Service was prompt and professional.

Initial meeting with Jack Mast was very positive. He took the time to explain everything that was required and answered all my questions...I never felt rushed to make a decision at that moment. I subsequently choose Advance Solar as I liked their system best. I called on them on 3.22.17 to let them know my roof was finished and they could schedule me for the work. They came out the very next day and in a couple of hours, the new system was up and running and the pool was getting warm. Great response time...capable installers in James and Josh...very pleased and would hire again.

Jessie, Mariano and David arrived as scheduled and performed the installation in a very friendly and professional manner. When the job was completed and turned on in a very short time I had Hot Water flowing from my faucets. I am a very Happy Camper!!

Advance Solar & Spa was incredibly easy to work with. I needed to replace an old heat pump unit that had failed years ago, especially now that I have young relatives and a desire for a working hot tub/spa for my and my wife's aging bones and muscles. Following several months of due diligence in contacting a number of companies that provided pool & spa heat pump installations, I finally settled on Advance Solar & Spa because they manufacture their own Gulfstream high efficiency heat pump with a five year warranty on parts and labor along with a lifetime guarantee on the unit's heat exchanger, making this the best warranty in the industry. Additionally, having a local vendor that stands behind their product, while available to perform any maintenance as required is always a big plus for me. Gulfstream heat pumps have an excellent reputation for reliability and performance and that's what I was looking for. Michelle in the sales department made the process extremely easy and everyone associated with the business was professional and informative. I was contacted the day prior to installation by Don, the installation manager to confirm the time, and both technicians Roberto and JC arrived the next morning as scheduled. Roberto and JC were both very polite and exceptionally efficient in removing my old unit and installing the Gulfstream heat pump. The entire job was completed in less than 2 hours, including removal of the old unit, installation, plumbing, electrical hookup, testing and operational instruction of the new heat pump. I was impressed and more than satisfied with the service. Now I look forward to years of heated pool and spa water from a reputable company providing service and support for their own high efficiency heat pump. I recommend this company to all my friends, and look forward to doing business with them again if I decide to convert to a low maintenance salt water pool system.

It doesn't appear to be a well run company. I originally left a request for a quote on their website. After not hearing from them for several days, I called and spoke to Matt. I started from scratch and explained what I was looking for. He apologized and said he would send someone out the next day - which he did. John showed up but had no idea what I wanted. After going through what I was looking for the 3rd time (1st on the website and then with Matt) John informed me that either he had never done a battery backup system or that they did them only rarely (I can't remember which) but nevertheless left me a pamphlet with some good options. He also made the statement that Micro inverters could not be used with batteries which at least according to what I've learned is not true. In any case, the equipment he recommended sounded good so I was interested in getting his quote. After a week of not hearing anything, I emailed him inquiring about it. Nothing. Then a few days later I left a voice mail with the same (very polite) inquiry. Nothing. So, I gave up on the project - the 2 quotes I had already gotten were miles apart. Interestingly, that's not the end of the story. A couple of weeks later I got a call from a woman from Advance Solar asking if I was satisfied with my quote. I explained that I never got one. She expressed great surprise and said she would report this to the owner who would contact me right away. Again, nothing. From other Angie's List reviews, this company clearly has some satisfied customers. But I suspect many of these didn't want what I was looking for - a solar system with battery backup. I can accept that their preference is other types of solar installations, but they should have had the courtesy to tell me upfront (or at least eventually!) and not waste my time.

Got prices from three contractors for the same job Advanced was 25% less and didn't ask for a deposit I was living out of state at the time so when the job was complete they sent me many photos before sending the invoice now that I'm living here fultime I know how great the solar panels heat my pool year round

The intial visit by the sales person was professional, and he was knowledgeable. They "offered to include" the electrical wiring and the permit in the final price. After I realized that there was a coupon on Angie's List, I asked them to honor it but they said I was already getting the wiring and the permit for free and that would add to 5%. So basically the coupon is a scam because they either "include" free services or give you 5% off -- not both! The installation went well, although there was initial miscommunication when I told the salesperson I would be out of town at the time of the originally scheduled day. The two people that handled the installation were very professional, cleaned up after themselves and finished within 8 hours, but the electrician couldn't make it the same day. Had to arrange for a separate time for the electrician - even though the bill arrived right away. They also tried to schedule the inspection without the electricians having done their work. The electricians came two weeks later, and they arranged for the inspection two weeks after that. I tried to get help with the rebate through FPL and no one at the company knew about helping. I did receive photos to help apply for the rebate - but those got declined by FPL due to poor quality and I had to crawl on my roof myself to take an acceptable picture of the solar panel specs. Everything works now, and my hot water is really hot. I don't think the company communicates well with each other, the "coupon" is a joke, and I think they are more concerned with getting paid for their work than making sure all the small things details are covered. I received a price over the phone and they were out the next day to replace. The installer took five hours to replace and worked though lunch and cleaned up and it was outstanding service!

They fixed the problem. The customer service is good. The cost is reasonable. They show up and do their job.

I will never use them again, We had an appointment for them to come on a Monday to look at what was wrong and they showed up on a Saturday when we were not home which would have been ok had they not called and spoken to us 6 times before even getting there. Once he finally showed up we were told what was wrong but he couldn't fix it or give pricing because the office was closed and we would be called on Monday with a price and then we could schedule the repair. 2 weeks later we still had not heard from them so we called again and the woman that talks to customers is extremely rude!!! After 15 minutes of dealing with her I finally got a price and was told they could fix it the next day. Over a week later we came home to a note on our door that it was done, we stayed home waiting all day on our appointment day and lost time off from work. It took 3 weeks to get the bill. Service is the worst!!! I will use Stillwell Solar for now on!!!

They had set up for an installation on the Saturday the 10th, on Sunday morning the solar panel was leaking. It was the first panel, the elbow. I called them and left a few messages for them. I didn’t know if they were open Sunday so I waited till Monday. I called them mid-morning and talk to the lady in the office. She said she just needed a work order for Tuesday. No one showed up or called on Tuesday. When I called back the lady in the office was a little upset with me, she said they were backed up and just because they put the order in does not mean they would come out. She was not considerate at all. I told her I was going to cancel if they wouldn’t help me. I talked to the salesman after that. He called Nicki in the office and talked to her about it. They let me know they were going to come out on Wednesday to finish. I called the permit office because they never left one here. They had never pulled a permit for the job. The permit office told me they only have 3 permits on hand for the county. I thought that was strange and Terrance, they lady in the permit office, said to find out what the permit was. When I called the Advance Solar & Spa to ask them, Nicki, said “I pulled the permit and not you.” By 4:30pm in the afternoon she went and got a permit for my job. They had already sent me the invoice and charged me for the permit even though they never pulled it. They were just so rude and inconsiderate. The office is terrible in the way they talk to their customers. They did do the follow up and I don’t see any signs of leaking but, I’m just upset they put that up without the permit. I hope they do a follow up inspection with the permit. I don’t want to call them back and speak to the people in the office because their manners are terrible and so disrespectful.

It went great. I liked their products, price and service. The work was done over two different contracts. I had one service call required for the heat pump and they were punctual. They replaced a mother board at no charge with no issues.

They were wonderful. The heat pump works wonderfully, the pool is warm, and I am very happy. They got the work done right away. I highly recommend them. I was fine with the price.

I like Advance Solar & Spa's pricing best about them. I was actually going to use a different company over them but they came and did the work without me asking and they got it done. They came and did it without me asking them to, I asked them for an estimate, gave me an estimate and they knew when the roof was going to go in the house so they just came and did it.

We are pleased with the job they did and the solar heating works great.
