I had done enough troubleshooting to know the igniter needed to be replaced. When I made the service appointment I told the person on the phone that the repairman must have a replacement igniter with him. I also stated the make and model of the pool heater and the parts list number of the replacement igniter. The lady assured me the repairman would have the replacement parts needed to complete the job. The guy showed up and quickly found out the igniter needed to be replaced. He was not able to remove the burn tray to access the igniter because some of the screws were rusted. He then told me it did not matter as he did not have the replacement part and could not get it. He said he could continue to try to take out the screws but this would probably damage the heater so it would be useless. His failure to take a couple of rusted screws out did not keep him from charging me $105 for the attempt. He was quick to recommend installing a new heater for only $3,750. After he left, I borrowed a drill from my neighbor and with his help was able to remove the screws without a lot of trouble. It was very easy to order the replacement part from Amazon and complete the repair. I thought it made sense to hire a professional to repair the heater. Unfortunately the one I hired (ACES, Inc.) was simply incompetent.

Was given this company to provide warranty work for my spa pump. When I called, they insisted it was out of warranty as of June of 2014, and they only do warranty work. They told me I woudl have to prove it was still under warranty. I explained that they were just out to do work on same pump in Oct of 2104, and I provided them the documentation then - so they are contradicting themselves. They didn't care. I then called the manufacturer of the pool pump, and they called Aces to tell them it was in fact under warranty, and they still refused to do any work. Worst experience ever. STAY AWAY!!!
