Able Body Labor

We were in Fort Myers on vacation in May of 2010, when we decided to just go home, and sell our house to move here. We did just that, our house went on the market when we returned to Indiana that May. We sold the house in two months, and were back in Florida in early August looking for a home. We found one in just a couple of days, and had our deal in the works. We couldn't close until September 10th so we had to go back to Indiana for a few weeks. We had already moved all of our belongings into storage there, and had our animals in a kennel. We stayed with the wifes Mother for the three weeks that we had to wait. We worked most everyday trying to pass the time. The day came to load our belongings into our rental truck. We were beginning to wear down by this time. We barely were able to load the trucks, and trailer due to tiredness. Thank goodness we had two close friends volunteer their time, and backs to help load. We made the two day drive, and arrived back in Cape Coral on the evening of the 8th, even more exhausted. On the 9th all we could do was dread unloading our belongings, as I am sure you can understand. We talked about going downtown and hiring some people off of the streets to unload our truck, mostly joking. Of course we would not take a chance like that. On a hunch, I checked the phone book, and found Able Body Labor, so I gave them a call. Found out how much it would cost to bring in some help, and gladly scheduled four men to be at our new home the next day at noon. We closed on the house at 10:00 AM the morning of September 10th. Drove all of our belongings to the new house, and exactly at 12 :00 PM, our four men showed up. They didn't all speak English very well, but two of the men did, they took over interpretation of our instructions. These guys were a life saver, they worked well together, and were on the ball. We had a 26' truck, a 5'X7' trailer, and a pickup truck all loaded to the top. These guys had everything completely unloaded, and most of it in place in 2 hours. We were amazed. They were very careful with our belongings, and did everything we asked them to do with a smile. There is no way we could have gotten moved into our new home that day if it had not been for the guys that Able Body Labor sent us. I would not hesitate to use their services again. In fact we have already decided that since we have plywood for storm shutters, that when the time comes that we have to prepare for a hurricane, we will be calling them for help putting the shutters up.
