Kim and her staff are absolutely amazing! They stand behind their work. They are available for questions or concerns after the job is it is completed I am totally satisfied customer and will be returning for future projects.

Excellent job, highly recommend, we would definitely use Abernathy Finish Masters again. We bought our home a year ago and the kitchen cabinets were in excellent condition, but they were dark and we wanted white. This made it a major decision to have them refinished, since we were not fixing anything, just wished they were a different color. We couldn’t be happier. The cabinet finish is lacquer, not paint; the cabinets are perfect. Everything on the website is true, all the pictures are really from Abernathy’s shop in Fort Myers, which I recommend checking out in person, and all the photos on line of the process are exactly what my kitchen looked like during the process. All the employees involved were professional; each took his/her time to ensure everything was done perfectly.

ABERNATHY FINISH MASTER is the definition for a TOP RATED QUALITY CONTRACTOR! Having spent over 40 years on the GC side of contracting, I cannot praise this company and their employees highly enough. Professionalism, communication, scheduling, punctuality, productive use of time on the site, quality workmanship - all at a fair and reasonable price point. That is what we received throughout the entire process. The knowledge and expertise of their industry - combined with the employees pride in their work - made the remodel of our kitchen cabinets and master bathroom vanity and cabinets exceed even our expectations! Fabulous! They completed the entire job in a week and the cabinets look wonderful. Workers were incredibly prompt and pleasant.

The job went as well as it could from the quote to the finish. Ric was very knowledgeable and their estimate was the lowest and ended up being the contract amount. The quality of the work was excellent and the crew was very nice and professional. They were no delays and the job was finished sooner than I thought it would be done.

Perfectly! As stated above, the new hutch is all that we loved about the original one and more! Also, they are a wonderful company with which to work. After meeting with them a couple of times in Florida, we continued to communicate throughout construction, even as we had returned to the Mid-West. The new hutch was completed and delivered on time.

Abernathy does beautiful, careful work. We are very pleased with the quality of the workmanship and how our cabinets look now.

The estimate was quickly arrived at, and the work scheduled. The doors and drawers were removed and brought back to the shop for refinishing. Many were in poor shape, with peeling varnish, and uneven staining. A technician came to the house and worked on the fixed panels and the areas between the doors and drawers, filling in holes, and spraying them with varnish. Two weeks later everything was reistalled. The workers were very professional, and cleaned up everything. The cabinets look like new! We are very pleased with the work. My one complaint is that on occasions appointments were broken at the last minute, causing some us some inconvenience. This was minor compared to the finished result, and was due to the technician over-committing to us and other customers, I am sure. I have recommended them to my neighbors, one of which plans to have them do similar kitchen work.

They did an excellent job refinishing our kitchen table. They honored their 10 day turn around time and the table looks brand new. Great job!

Provider never returned the two phone messages I left. When I called after the second message, I was informed that he was very busy and it sometimes takes a few days for him to return calls but that he would. I never heard back and would not call back a third time.

Made a few phone calls, emailed a few photos of original hope chest condition and asked for an estimate. Company sent out a rep to view hope chest as the email photos were not detailed enough for them to provide an estimate. Estimate was provided then I called a few times to setup a time for pickup and for the work to be done. I didn't hear back for about a month then Company called me to see when I wanted the hope chest picked up etc. I was hesitant (since I thought they forgot about me or not interested in doing the job) but I really wanted the hope chest restored back to its original condition and I couldn't locate another refinisher in the area so I went with Abernathy. Pickup and delivery of finished hope chest was as scheduled and the end result was superb. The refinished hope chest came out beautiful.....it's a showpiece now with high gloss. I was very pleased with the quality of their work. It would have been a better experience only if I heard back from them immediately and was told that they were busy and that they couldn't schedule my job for another month.

I made a call in May to schedule for a bathroom remodel and was told to call back in July to schedule for an August appointment when they were less busy. I called in July and was told I would be called back. This never happened, so I called twice in August and was told both times I would receive a return call. Again I did not get any response from either call. Evidently they do not need my business , but it would have been nice to have received a call from them. I will not be using their services, and feel others should be aware of their poor customer service.

I called in May to set up an appointment for an estimate for a bathroom remodel project. I was told they were scheduling 3 weeks out, so I was to call back in July to set up an August appointment. I did this, and was told I would be contacted for an estimate time. I was not contacted. I then called back in August, and was again told the scheduler would contact me either that day or the next. To date I have still not heard from any representative from this company. At this point I will be contacting another company, and feel other Angies List customers should know how poor the customer service is at Abernathy.

A table leg on an antique table was completely broken from the table. The repair was well done and the price reasonable. The repair is barely noticable.

Customer service was great. Vern and Joe were especially helpful in making sure that I was satisfied with the end result. The quality of the cabinet rejuvenation is excellent. The painted surface is much easier to maintain than the original wood finish.

Ignored 1 email and 1 phone message asking for a quote. Contractors get 2 tries, if they don't respond they are on my own personal don't use list. Very unprofessional.

I joined Angie's List to find someone to help me with these cabinets. Jeff left in January and could not correct a few problem areas. He didn't have time. A huge issue came up that last day. As the painters tape was removed the outer finish came off. Jeff then mentioned he had originally used a "bad" finish and had redone the doors but the bases had already gone to the contractor ( Eternity Cabinets) to be installed and had not been corrected. He would not correct them at that time because he was too busy! I asked the contractor to get it fixed and he refused. My contract was with Eternity who would do nothing but the finish work was done by Abernathy who also would do nothing. I called another cabinet company in to assess the situation and they tell me that the entire finish on the cabinets are not adhered properly and I need to start all over! What a mess I am in. This was done in the kitchen as well as guest bathroom.

I was charged a lot of money for a bad repair job.......

They came and did an estimate of the work to repaint our breakfast table and chairs (and two expansion leaves) and refinish the table top. We then approved the revised stain color and they finished the work and returned the table promptly and set it up. All work was done in a professional manner and with quality materials. We are very happy with the results. Price above includes pickup and delivery.

Poor customer service. No follow up. Have no idea if they were too busy, unorganized or considered my project too small. I paid the other vendor $350 for the repair and they did a great job.

I emailed Abernathy and waited a week for a response. I then called Abernathy and was told that they were "very busy" and informed that I would be contacted "soon" by someone to estimate the job. I was never contacted. Apparently this business is too busy to take new jobs or lacks the customer service skills to follow through. I will not use them or recommend them.

They did an excellent job. They were punctual, responsible and great craftsmen. They did a beautiful job. They were very polite and professional. I can't say enough good things about them.

A piece of a small table my grandfather had made had broken off. They repaired it, and the result was much better than I expected. They also refinished a badly scratched cedar chest. Did a fine job.

I bought a desk for my daughter on craigslist. I wanted it painted black to match her existing furniture, also for it to be somewhat indestructible, as she isn't very careful with her belongings. Within a week, I had the desk back, it was awesome. It looked as if I had bought it new in the store, only better quality! Would definitely recommend Jeff to anyone who is looking for quality, professionalism and reliability!

the desk was dark brown and had fancy work on top of each leg. i had them stain the top and paint the apron a mustard yellow and the legs sage green. they had me come over and pick out the different colors, and the owner worked with me. he was very patient and had a lot of ideas. once all was chosen, they called me back when the first coats were on, in case i wanted to 'tweak' it, or if i changed my mind. i also had them apply a dark stain overall to produce a 'weathered look'. the table is absolutely beautiful. wow, they did a terrific job. i paid to have the table picked up and delivered, which brought the price up, but was worth it to me. i plan on having them strip and stain several doors next year. you can't find nicer people to work with. top grades. thanks so much
