Word of Mouth was the first to respond to my inquiry; their office requested permission to begin the job early (by one hour) on the appointed day. Prior owners had pieces replaced on a very expensive W2W carpet; it was not installed properly by another company and bulges/wrinkles developed in 3 areas over 2 years. Word of Mouth techs arrived, reviewed my situation and provided a very fair estimate to proceed. In one hour the work was done. I had proactively removed most furniture from the 400 Sq. Ft. room so both could focus on repairs. The job looks great and I highly recommend the contractor.

FANTASTIC! This company is top notch. Arrived on time, treated stains, steam cleaned carpets so that they look like new. The technicians, Paul and Greg, did an outstanding job. Don't hesitate to call this small, family-owned company. You will not be disappointed in the job they do. Five stars!

terrible job. a spot was burned in doorway. rug was raked too heavy and it balled up the fibers. never had this happen before with other companies.

Price was misquoted. I would say horrible service, but actually, what "service"? More like we were taken for a ride! Hard to imagine this place is still in business! My mother is elderly and has sight difficulties, so I helped her find a carpet cleaning company, using Angie's List. Debi with Word of Mouth quoted a price of $29.00/ room for cleaning, and $15.00/ room for Teflon. I verified this over the phone two times with Debi, both times stating, "forty-five dollars for three rooms?". Both times Debi confirmed this price. We were charged for 4 rooms, not 3. The dining room, living room, and one bedroom are actually one room. Whenever we have had the carpet cleaned in the past, we were charged for 3 rooms, as we also had the master bedroom carpet cleaned. The dining room is barely the size of some closets, just took for a small table and 4 chairs. We were also charged $50.00/ room for teflon ($200.00). I called Debi and started to describe the reason for my call, when she interrupted me to tell me she was not in her office, but she would call me back in "five or six minutes." When I did not receive a call back, I called Debi approximately an hour or so later and left a voicemail. My call was never returned. I called Debi again, and also called the company's main phone number and both times I eft messages. I even emailed her, yet she never responded to any of my calls or my email. Part of the reason I chose Word of Mouth, was because Debi told me Word of Mouth wss rated #1 on Angie's List for the last 5 years. If this is how Angie's List is rated, I doubt I will ever search on Angie's List again! Hearing my mom's voice describing how she was lied to, deceived, and taken advantage of (my words), brought tears to my eyes. To think there is a business who can take advantage of the elderly this way is uncontionable. I would urge all people to use anyone other than Word of Mouth, and even stay away from Angie's List who rates such a dishonest company as #1 for 5 years in a row!!! (Please note I am not sure of the exact date of service, but I can find out. The date is very close, but may not be exact).

I made an appt. after getting phone estimate. When tech arrived and began pricing out the job, he told me that there is be extra charges for the three area rugs. I explained that they should not be additional because they consume the same space as the carpet underneath which was NOT going to be cleaned. He then began to explain how they needed special treatment around the edges. Such B.S.! I further explained that I've had these steam cleaned in prior years and they needed no special treatment. He refused to do them without charging me for what he called "special" treatment. I politely asked him to leave. I should have followed the reviews on And goes List.

Owner does not take responsibility for their mistakes. I hired Word of Mouth to clean the carpet in my first floor condo. I gave them the unit number and informed them that it was located 100 feet from the parking. I gave the technician the code to open the front door. After arriving, he called to notify me that the code was not working and I gave him the master code. He did not mention he was trying to enter another condo that I also own in the 5th floor. This condo is occupied by my tenant and no one was authorized to enter. My tenant was not home, and he cleaned the carpet in my 5th floor unit instead of my vacant 1st floor unit. The carpet in this condo had already been professionally cleaned 3 months prior. I contacted the technician, he apologized and referred me to the owner of the company Eric. After I explained the situation to Eric, he had no interest in doing the right thing. All he cared to do was argue. In addition, his rates are ridiculous. He charged me $185 for cleaning the carpet in a 700sq ft 1 bedroom condo.

I used this company in December of 2012 to clean the tile and grout in my living room and adjacent half bath after receiving an estimate. They measured the tile area (166 sq ft) and quoted me 81.00 for the cleaning and 35.00 to apply the sealer which I though was very reasonable. As a goodwill gesture on their way out they cleaned the small outdoor tiled area in front of my door. As I was so happy with the company, I scheduled a return visit on 2/13/15 well in advance. When a single employee arrived several hours late, he was obviously very rushed, fending off phone calls to do more jobs than there hours left in the day. He looked at the room (but didn't measure) it and said it would be $200 for the tile and $98 for the sealer. I asked why the nearly 300% increase? Prices are up, take it or leave it. He was so obviously in a hurry and didn't really want to be there it seemed. The price charged for the stairs (which he counted and therefore had a basis for calculating) was $52 and $35 for the small area rug, both of which I thought were very fair. He rushed through the job (he was at the house approximately 45 minutes) and was walking out the door when I reminded him that I had paid to have the grout sealed, too. He came back, poured some liquid on the tile and swished his mop around a bit, said it was sealed, and left. Total bill $385.00. He was very competent, moved around the small amount of furniture on his own (I had already removed the area rugs, cleared the top of the coffee table, etc to make it as easy as possible for the workers) and I think he did a good job, but feel I was overcharged because he was in too much of a hurry to calculate the correct price. I informed the office of my dissatisfaction and that I would have to post an unfavorable review but no one got back to me as they had promised. I would not use this company again, but if you do, get a written estimate before you schedule the work.

Customer service on telephone was excellent; there was a follow-up confirmation call. Technicians arrived on time.

The whole job was done in a fraction of the time that I would have taken me. I was so impressed I had them do the w hole house: all furniture etc... All in all a great job carried out by true professionals.

They were trying to add on additional services that were not necessary as opposed to being an all-inclusive type of service.

They are prompt, punctual, very thorough and very friendly. They prices vary depending on if they have a bargain thing going. They still do a great job either way. They do really good work but they are kind of informal.

carpet cleaning charged extra when on site did not follow phone quote added service and did not perform. Funriture was not moved until asked then did not tell customer about other rooms where furniture was not moved. Stains were not cleaned and denied breaking ceramic door stop. When questioned, the employee was in a hurry and late to next appointment. Rushed thought he job and denied breakage. Owner offered to replance but never made good.Bad customer relationsService was expensive as compare to competion at the time. Estimates were not honored areas connected without doors was later considered a room even thouth the area was really an alcove extension. Closets were considereed halls and not closet rate even though area was 4x10.

He is just marvelous, and his prices are just right! Everyone that works there is just tops with me! The approximate cost is for my whole home (approximately five rooms, with scotch guard).
