About us

We are a father, son, & son team in the construction management (commercial and residential) business. We have done jobs as small as painting a bedroom to multimillion dollar homes. We are all originally from Michigan and slowly started moving to Florida sunny in 1997. Frank (father) was the first to come. He offers 23 years of experience working in corporate, and 12 additional years of running his own company. John came to Florida a few years after Frank. His background was in construction and also has 7 years on the retail home improvement side before he moved. After moving to the area he realized he had more to offer his customers than just advice on what to buy or how to use specific products to remodel or decorate their homes. John started "John's Handyman Services" with the help of Frank running the behind the scenes business side. Eventually they got to be so busy that Frank and John together formally created Watercastle Development Company LLC. Once again the company got to be larger than life, and the work was getting to be too much for just the two of them. In 2006, Frank made son Michael "an offer he couldn't refuse" to come join the family business here in South Florida . Michael had been working in the banking and business management industry since graduating from college, and was eager to take on the challenges ahead. He took over some of the financial, operational, and management duties of the company. Since 2006, Frank, John, and Michael have tackled many new construction projects together. They continue to strive for excellence and challenge each other to do their best all while smiling, laughing, and enjoying life along the way.

Renovated my condo. They did not communicate well. I was absent for the renovations and there were many mistakes made. I would not recommended these people for anyone who cannot run behind them and double check everything. They blamed each other or me for the mistakes and do not take responsibility. And then try to add on extras for everything they "forgot" to write down in their contract. Beware the contract. If you want to do any business with these very nice people make sure every single little thing is listed in the contract drawn up by the father. They promise a lot verbally but unless its written down in the contract they will charge extra for the work when it's done. I have been a contractor for 30 years and never known a company behave like these people. They are genuinely nice people but seem very disorganized.
Description of Work: Renovated the condo. Bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, dry wall work, painting, cabinetry and mirrors. Some minor electronics.
