Everything was perfect

They are the most unprofessional moving company we have ever dealt with. They are good at skirting around the law. We were told that our furniture would be delivered within a few days. Since the delivery did not happen within a few days we had to stay in a hotel. When we called to check on the arrival date of our furniture, they couldn't give us an estimated date. We were told that our belongings would never be removed from their truck until delivery. They packed our belongings in 2 different trucks. When our belongings were delivered they were all in 1 truck along with 2 other families furniture. I had sentimental glassware that was shattered. There were boxes that we never received. I called Summit Van Lines to let them know about the problems, they never called me back.

The folks at Summit were professional and true to their word. I researched several van lines and rad the horror stories: hidden fees, holding property for ransom, days late. I called these guys for a move from Florida to Texas needing the move within a week. They delivered on all their promises. They arrived on time and had a large crew to wrap up the furniture and move our entire home in hours. The next day, they arrived on time again and moved everything in our large storage facility (10x20). The movers hustled and were really courteous, friendly and professional. These guys know how to move a house (3,000 sq. ft.). They arrived in Texas on time (in fact a little early) and moved us in our two-story home with no issues. The price they quoted was the price I paid. Moving a large home to another state is stressful. These guys had it all done timely and as promised. Do not hesitate to use Summit.

They were definitely higher than the ones I used. They were very good. They were very thorough and very detailed. They were quickly responsive on any inquiries. When I advised them that I had a cheaper quote they worked really hard to meet the quote but in the end they couldn't quite get there. The estimate was extremely detailed. It was almost piece by piece. They came in and did an in- house inventory.

It couldn't have gone better. The entire team from beginning to end was professional, courteous and extremely diligent. Moving is a very overwhelming experience and this company made me feel at ease every step of the way. I felt like all of my possessions were treated with care and skill. I have already recommended them to my family and friends. I highly encourage you to call Summit Van Lines for any of your moving needs. You will be so happy! They were easy to work with.

The movers were early to start the move. They wrapped everything perfectly and worked very efficiently. They finished the move very fast and I could not ask for a batter experience.

All aspects of the move from beginning to end were done in a very courteous and professional manner Their rep (Sammy ) viasited my house for a on site evaluation and gave me a FIRM AND BINDING QUOTE. This amount was honored till the end. Touvaris and his crew were right on time for the pick-up and handeled all my belongings as if theirs. Emmanuel and his partner were also on time for my delivery in San Antonio. They carefully unloaded everything placed it where it belonged and assembled the beds and tables. They cleaned up after they were done, and were very professional. I would definatly use the services of Summit Van Lines again in the future in a heart beat.

The 3 guys are excellent, When we move to new office we would use this company based on the employees. professional, polite, offered extra boxes. Great moving experience.

The packing and picking up were early, courteous. They handled my things with care. They explained that my stuff would make it on a truck that day. They weren't able to give the exact delivery date because they consolidate trips. I didn't need a specific delivery date. My only complaint was the actual delivery was delayed by a day BUT they were good about communicating about the truck. And

They did a great job packing my items. They actually delivered my belongings sooner than initially promised.

We received quotes from 7 companies. Summit was not the cheapest but was to the lower end in cost. Everyone we dealt with was very professional. Sammy was the estimator and was very nice. Kristina was our contact at Summit and was very responsive to our questions. The people from Summit were very up front with the pricing. The quote we received was a binding quote and the amount quoted at the beginning was the amount we paid. No problems, no requests for additional fees. The movers were due to arrive at 9am to pack everything. They showed up early and everything was packed up and gone by noon. The packers wrapped everything completely. The only problem I had was that Summit could not give an exact delivery date and time in advance. We told them we would be ready to receive everything on June 1st. In the contract it says that there will be a 15 business day window for the delivery. The stuff was delivered on the 12th, well within the 15 day window. All went well with the delivery. No damage no missing items. I will definitely use Summit if I have to move again.

First of all. Don't ever, ever use Summit for anything other than to bring down another mover's cost. The bid process and move out seemed to go well although I was surprised by some up charges that I wasn't expecting. My lack of Russian finally gave in to his lack of English and I paid just to finish the process. They also didn't do a full job of packing. Some items that should have had wrap around them didn't. Luckily, there wasn't much damage. The move in was the most incompetent, unprofessional move I've had in the four or five times that we moved. Summit schedules their trucks with no idle time. The driver called on Tuesday saying they would show up Thur. or Fri. Summit is supposed to give you 24 hours notice so I figured ok. On Thursday morning, the driver called and said he would be their between 3 and 4 Thur. I told him that we had a conflict and could we do it on Friday (like they optioned). The short answer was if you want it today yes otherwise I can't tell you when it will be delivered and if we have to store you'll pay until it is delivered. With that positive statement, I said go ahead and deliver it. They finally showed up about 4 hours late, didn't put down any floor coverings, tracked dirt onto the rugs, and generally had that attitude that they were doing me a favor by showing up at all. They blamed traffic and said it wasn't their fault, but you would think they would have expected traffic on a holiday weekend in the Chicago area.

Called Summit Van Lines for a bid for a move from Brookline MA to Wellington FL on August 31, 2012, the day the lease ended. They gave me a bid over the phone based on what I told them I was moving. They confirmed the move with me on Tuesday, August 29 prior to me flying to MA and was told that I would receive a call on Thursday morning, August 30 to give me an exact pick up time. By noon on August 30 I called them. They asked if I wouldn't mind waiting until Sunday, Sept 2 for pickup and said that their truck broke down. I explained that the apt had to be vacated by the next day at midnight - they responded simply with sorry and that they would do the best they could and that they would call back in a few hours. I called them back a few hours later and they said that they could "possibly" reroute another truck and be there by 5 pm on my move day, but couldn't guarantee that nothing would happen - at that point I did not trust them and decided to see if I could locate another mover, which I did! I was forced to pay a very high "expedited charge" and had to have everything on the truck within the hour. Summit made my move miserable.

We had stuff that we put in our closet at home. We shut the door and told the movers we were going to move that stuff ourselves. I had to pop out to run to the storage unit and when I came back, the closet was opened and my husbands wedding ring and a watch was missing.
