He was very good. I would give him 5 stars. He arrived on time. The job was done very quickly and effectively. I have no complaints.

Nice experience. Good communication prior to appointment. Arrived on time, quickly assessed work to be done. Offered fixed cost or hourly rate. Very workmanlike and efficient. Discussed a few options - offered good advice. Made a no-charge second visit to double check work on a problematic fixture to eliminate wiring problems prior to getting warranty service for the fixture.

Even though, I had stressed it was not an emergency, he still got there in a couple of hours. Upon arriving he took care of my problem promptly, professionally and left. His quality and professionalism were an A and I would definitely use him again.

This is the second time we have used SC Electric. Selected him for the excellent evaluations on Angie's List and his nearby location. Both times Shawn provided excellent and competent service. Very responsive to call (scheduling over the holidays), punctual, and cleaned up nicely when job completed. Not inexpensive but fair a price given the superior service. Extremely professional. Strong recommendation.

It was a terrific experience. They arrived exactly at the designated time and finished amazingly quickly. Cleanup was thorough. It was immediately apparent that "expert" is a conservative description of the quality of the work, including how it was handled. I would not hesitate to use SC Electric for any electrical project, large or small.

I had some electrical issues in my kitchen. Shawn was very professional and very efficient. My electrical issues have been resolved and he replaced an additional switch in my front door. I have had some bad experience with electricians in the past and I was happy to know that I found an electrician that was professional and trustworthy.

I contacted Shawn and recieved a call back within one hour of my call. He arrived on time the date that we agreed. He performed all the work to our satisfaction.

After checking Angies list for someone with good ratings and close proximity to my home, I chose SC Electric. I called and Shawn answered and we set up an appointment after he told me the rate and costs. He called the day before to confirm. On the morning of the appointment he called and said he was running a little late and gave me a later time. This all ok with me as I was home all day anyway. He showed up on time and quickly performed his work and out he was nothing left behind to clean up.

Using my shiny new subscription to Angie's List, I found Mr. Shawn Carreras, a local electrician, who, despite a VERY busy day managed to make it to my home the same afternoon I called. He diagnosed my problem(s) -burnt out ground wire, some questionable wiring and a breaker 2 sizes too small for my 15 month old water heater-within moments and immediately set about rectifying the whole mess. The price he had warned me might be more than I was expecting turned out to be $275---considerably LESS than I was resigned to hearing. Shortly thereafter I had hot water and a brand new entry in my phone book under "Super Repair Guy". He even asked for a broom to sweep up the negligible debris from the repair. How great is that?

We contacted Shawn through Angie's list to fix electrical problems found during home inspection of our new house. We were mostly concerned with the old Federal Pacific main panel as they are known to fail to protect the home from overcurrents and short circuits. Shawn gave us a estimate that was very reasonable, obtained the necessary permits and his work passed inspection without any issues. The work done was professionally and we look forward to working with him again in the future. We even got a discount as a first time customer through Angie's List. Thanks!

Arrived on time. Clearly explained problem with low voltage system. Provided estimate for electrical work on that project, as well as outlining what would be needed from a pool repair service. Found a way to upgrade a 110 line to 220 by rerouting the circuit for lights in the pool house to the living room/dining room. Didn't have the correct type of breaker (a 220 that fits in a single slot) on the truck.

He arrived on time, provided professional services, and cleaned up after the installation. I would definitely recommend his company.

Shawn came toevaluate a long standing problem with some specialty low voltage halogen high hats that were installed by someone else about 3 years ago. Despite having multiple people try to fix the problem (the bulbs, which are expensive and are supposed to last 3-5 yrs, kept blowing and NONE of the lights worked), Shawn came out, checked and tested the switches, the bulbs and the individual transformers for these special lights. He had a good idea of what the problem was, but additionally called his distributor for our fixtures and tried to see if there may have been a recall issue with the lights since we had so many malfunctioning lights in our house. He called me back with information and web site contacts and was genuinely trying to help rectify the situation with out our needing to spend a fortune. After reviewing everything ourselves, after having such a poor experience with these particular fixtures we opted instead to just replace all the hi hats in one room. Shawn brought me over samples of what he recommended would work with the holes we already had in our ceilings, and gave me prices. After setting up an appointment he followed up by ordering the lights for me, showing up on time with his very pleasant assistant, and did the work in a timely and neat fashion. He vacuumed the minimal dust and was careful not to damage or dirty the paint on the ceiling. Since he knows that I have the same problem in manyother rooms in my house, he did say that if we were happy with the results, that whenever we are ready to do the others, he would try to get a better price from his distributer, if we were doing a more significant number. Shawn is clean, well spoken, timely and honest. He knows his field, esplained the issues and corrected them. In addition he pointed out some hazards that he noticed - work we had our handyman take care of. I would highly recommend SC ELECTRIC.

If it weren't for the mistakes in the ordering of the products on the vendors site, it would have been perfect. They had to keep coming back to complete the job. This was no fault of theirs. They were very patient with me and my ordering blunders.

As I mentioned above, it was a very pleasant experience. He was punctual, very professional and neat. He was able to correct the problem with relative ease, in less than an hour. He doublechecked his work to make sure the switches and ligjts were working properly. He then put everything back in place and cleaned the work area. We are having him back in a couple of days to fix another problem area.

Sean was at my home on time and completed the work professionally and quickly, even went as far as to ask for a broom to help me clean up. I appreciated the fact Sean is pleasant, gets to the point and takes the time to explain what he is doing along with showing you.

A ceiling fan controller had heated up and started melting. I called SC Electric, was given good advice immediately by phone of what to do until Shawn could get to mty home. An hour later, Shawn arrived and quickly diagnosed the problem. He had a replacement fan controller switch in his vehicle and replaced the defective one. He noticed that the dimmer switch control was an old style and offered to replace it as well with a part on his truck. The fan works great now and the controls are updated.

I am very happy with their quality of work, punctuality, rates, and professionalism. I just bought a house and it had been hacked by the previous owner, so SC Electric came to fix the work. I would highly recommend them and can safely recommend them to neighbors and friends.

Shawn, the owner, came out very promptly and determined that the problem was with the heater, which was not active at the time, but was in fact, for some unknown reason, electrically charging the metal rod in the filter. This was a very unusual problem, one that was not easily detected. Shawn, detected the problem, corrected it and was very professional and easy to work with. His prices are good and in-line with what is usually charged for that kind of service.

It went great! I'm so thankful that Sean noticed the unsafe condition and fixed it. My husband is glad to have the ceiling fan running again. Sean was personable, helpful and careful in our home especially since he needed to get into the attic. If I ever need an electrician I'll call Sean.

The circuit breaker for my A/C kept turning off, which meant I was effectively without A/C. In South Florida in summertime, this is not fun! Finding a good, trustworthy electrician in this area is very difficult. I asked friends, people at work, etc. and all the recommendations that came back were for either unlicensed amateurs or their licenses were lapsed, etc. I turned to the internet and Googled "how do I find a good electrician in Fort Lauderdale?" and found Angie's List. Angie's List in turn helped me find Shawn and SC Electric. Shawn responded right away and asked me what type of circuit breaker panel, etc. I had so he could bring the right parts. He was not only on time, he was in fact early for the appointment which was great because he knew I was trying to get to work. He warned me in advance that fixing the circuit breaker alone may not fix the A/C issue, since it could be the compressor in the A/C that was causing the circuit breaker to trip. I said that was fine, because if the electrical issue wasn't resolved, the A/C wasn't going to work anyways. He quickly diagnosed the issue with the circuit breaker and replaced 2 of the switches (the A/C one going bad had caused another to fail). He showed me the old ones and why they were bad and replaced them with parts he already had with him. He even went outside to check my A/C and see if we could get it to work. He was able to get the outside fan working (which it didn't want to start on its own) with a little encouragement. Even though the A/C was running, it still wouldn't cool but at least it was now circulating air - a vast improvement, believe me! He also recommended an A/C service for me that he had experience with and should be able to come out the same day since I wound up working from home. I found Shawn to be very honest and knowledgeable, as well as friendly and helpful. I also thought the price he charged was reasonable and I feel as though I got more than my money's worth. I would highly recommend his services to anyone who needs electrical service/repair and I would definitely use his company again! PS: He also gets extra credit for being animal lover!!!

We had a variety of electrical projects on the "to do" list and when I contact Shawn and he was very willing to come to our house just to take a look and give me more information with no obligation to me. After he came out, I was convinced that he could handle any electrical job and made suggestions that I hadn't thought of to get the best quality and value. He took out old chandeliers, changed light fixtures, installed a surround sound system, installed outdoor speakers by crawling through a dirty 90+ degree attic, and installed new chandeliers. He was patient with all my questions and was super helpful. We are going to ask Shawn to redo all of our landscape lighting soon, too. He is reliable, professional, and experienced.
