shawn the owner came out to give me an estimate on a whole home electrical revamp on our new home. he was very knowledgeable and i felt confident he absolutely knew his business. He was also courteous enough not to charge me his estimate fee because he had been running a little later than scheduled time. i needed one job done rather quickly and he was able to accommodate us.he switched out two light/fan switches...he was quick, efficient and left the job site cleaner than he likely found it. i would absolutely use shawn again and when i'm ready to do my whole house electrical revamp he is the guy i'm calling.

He arrived in the morning, identified the broken circuit breaker and replaced it. He also gave us information regarding the aging panel, which we've decided to replace. We have complete faith in Shawn's expertise and recommendations.

Shawn and his assistant arrived on time. They started right in with the replacement even though with the electricity turned off, they had to figure out working in the dark. The job was done efficiently and quickly and the charge was exactly the estimated amount. We have used SC Electric in the past and would never call anyone else. If there's a down side to Shawn's excellent work, it is that his service is so popular, it took several weeks to get this appointment. However, the one time we had an emergency, he came right out.

Very pleased with this company every step of the way. It turned out I needed the work done rather quickly and Shawn was able to complete the job on a very short deadline. I found this company on Angies List and was impressed by their rating. I see why they have such a wonderful reputation. As far as I'm concerned, I have found the right electrical company for me. The next time I need electrical work done, I will be contacting S.C Electric!!

I got a notice from my insurance company, telling me that my insurance would be cancelled in two weeks because I had fuses and an aluminum wire listed on my homeowner's inspection report (which they'd had for over a month, and also had when they wrote the policy). I frantically searched the reviews on Angie's list and chose S.C. Electric, Inc. because of the large number of excellent reviews. I spoke with Shawn, telling him about the urgency of the situation, and he was able to come by the very next day and figure out what needed to be done. Before coming, he explained that there was a $50 service charge for coming by, and that that cost would be applied to the cost of anything he did, which I thought was more than fair. He said that it would be quite expensive to replace the fuses with circuit breakers, but thought he might not have to. I had an inground generator with a transfer switch that had a circuit breaker for the house power, and he thought he might be able to bypass the fuses and use that circuit breaker as the service disconnect for considerably less money. He checked with the city of Hollywood to see if they would allow this, and whether or not he would need to pull a permit. Fortunately, the chief electrician approved of this option and did not require a permit, so Shawn was able to quickly complete the repairs. He saved me a bundle of money, and this speaks volumes for his integrity. I know nothing about electricity, and he could easily have told me it required a rewiring of the panel and replacement of the fuses with a circuit breaker, which would have cost over $1000 more ($1500-$2000 is what the home inspector estimated it would cost to replace the fuses with breakers). He went out of his way to save me money, as well as going the extra mile to make sure that everything was approved by the city of Hollywood. I also asked him to wire in and install a ceiling fan in a room where there wasn't one, and again, he could have charged considerably more money if he wired it into the wall switch as I initially requested, but he explained that would take more time, and that I could easily buy a remote to operate the fan. Again, he suggested the most cost effective option, even though this was basically taking money out of his own pocket. He and his assistant did a beautiful job on everything. They're licensed professionals, always arrive on time, try to find the most cost effective method, and do excellent work. Need I say more?

I called on Friday late afternoon, I admit I did call because of the A rating on Angies list. We made an appointment for Monday early afternoon, everything went great very professional and no mess:), a definate "A"!

After checking Angie's List,. We called Sc Electric for an appointment . Shawn the owner came the next day on time and gave me an estimate of several jobs in my house. I hired him and we scheduled two 1/2 days the following week . Shawn did the work He showed up with an assistant on time both days They worked fast cleaned after and were careful inside the home -- Shawn knows his job he made several suggestions as he went along. His price is a bit on the high side but well worth it definetely I would use him again

I have used this company many times before. The owner Shawn is quick, efficent and leaves the workspace exactly as he found it.He calls back immediatly and arrives at my home on time. I trust him completely and would leave him alone in my home if I had too. Shawn is the first electrician I had when I moved to my home in Florida (7 years ago) and I will always use him and I highly recommend him to everyone

Its no wonder that SC Electric is rated so highly on Angiies List. Shane the owner provided professional service and effectively remedied our electrical issues in one visit at a reasonable price. Well done SC!

Sean arrived at the designated time, found the faulty outlet in a matter of minutes, swapped it out and was on his way, after giving me a little gift.

We first contacted Shawn after reading the stellar reviews on Angie's list. We were not disappointed. Shawn exceeded my expectations. He was punctual and professional from the time we first met for the estimate to the completion of the job. The work was professional, neat and clean. You could not even tell that someone had been working in our house after they left. In addition, Shawn had a great personality. I would highly recommend Shawn to anyone in need of electrical work. We will definitely use him again!

Sean was scheduled for 9 am Tuesday, March 27, 2012. He called around 8:20 saying he was 'running early.' A pleasant surprise because it is usually 'running late.' Sean and Demetrius jumped right into the work when they arrived and very competently performed all of the above duties. Sean was able to save us some money by routing the new line for the microwave with the refrigerator. Sean also corrected some decades-old electrical problems very quickly and professionally. We're glad Sean and Demetrius helped us with our projects and feel confident in the results.

Shawn called before he came out for the service. He was on time, and very professional. He checked out the problem outlets and quickly determined the problem and fixed it. He made some suggestions as to how to avoid problems in the future.

About a year ago , I had a problem with the lights dimming on half of my house and called three electrical services to get someone one in to solve the problem. Two of the companies gave me a quote of about $100 to come out and determine what the problem was. Shawn asked questions and then suggested that it sounded like an FPL problem and that I should call FPL before I paid him to come out to fix a problem that he couldn't do anything about. I called FPL, it was their service problem and they came out and fixed it. I was so impressed that Shawn was so honest that I kept his name and number in case of future problems In March, an outdoor receptacle went bad, Shawn came out, replaced the receptacle, and trouble shot another problem for me. He checked the circuit breakers and panels inside and outside, was thorough, made good suggestions, was professional, and charged just the amount he quoted for the service call. He did not charge for the receptacle because it was used and he did not have a new one in the truck. I now have his card and will call only SC Electric in the future

Punctual and professional. Sean knew what he was doing, brought a helper to assist and clean up after him and was everything I could ask for in an electrician. I will definitely use him again when the need arises.

Shawn showed up on time and reviewed with me the work to be done. He immediately began to work and in no time he had the job quickly and expertly completed. I asked him about returning at a later date to relocate a cable line which he advised against due to the good quality of the existing line. He actually saved me $ today! I would highly recommend him and will definitely call him for my future electrical needs.

My husband and a friend tried previously to install two ceiling fans (one interior and one exterior). Unfortunately, when they tried to turn off the breaker for installation, they were unable to isolate the power down to a single switch. Therefore, the electrical wiring was a bit more complicated than expected. Shawn came out and quickly determined the issue and installed both ceiling fans as needed. He also looked into a few other lighting issues we had. Shawn was through, punctual and professional! I would have rated an "A" on price but when I returned to write this report (less than 24 hours from the service) I noticed a discount for 1st time customers of Angie's List. It would have been nice to receive the discount on pricing!

We were so happy with Shawn's work the first time, we hired him again for additional work. Just as before, he was prompt, did the job quickly, cleaned up all debris, and charged the estimated amount. We recommended him to our neighbor.

Shawn had to submit the plans to the village and was approved faster than any other contractor Ive had, The installation was a lot of work-digging the trench to code depth and drilling thru concrete walls as well as bringing the wires thru the attic. Shawn was totally knowledgeable and professional throughout. It took a day and a half because the inspector had to check the depth of the trench before he could finish. Everything was put back,cleaned and swept. Finding a good electrician for this job was the reason I joined Angies list. I had two other estimates for this job but both didnt even seem sure how to do it and suggested I not pull a permit. I decided the house electical wiring was not a place to cut corners and found S.C electric here. The difference was amazing. Shawn immediately came up with a cost effective plan and I had confidence all would go well-it did.

We are very happy with the work. They were prompt, did they work efficiently, cleaned up everything as they went, finished quickly, overcame some unexpected obstacles, and the total cost was less than I anticipated. They even installed the ceiling fans which we had not expected. We have hired Shawn to do some additional work. You couldn't ask for more!

It was a great experience. He came over when he said he would. He checked out the machine and he recommended an outside outlet so that when I would move I could take the machine with me. Would definitely use again.

It went very well. Sean was able to save me $600 from the original estimate. He did not have to install a new box in the garage but was able to rewire what was putside. He is very conscientious. Always returned my calls. This is the second time I used S.C. Electric, INC.
