SC Electric Inc

I had a couple dozen electrical items on my to-do list. Found SC Electric on Angie's List and asked Shawn to come out. It took a couple of visits to finish everything. He did a great job fixing all the little DIY "glitches" inflicted by a previous owner. When they arrive, Shawn and his assistant split up the list of jobs and get right to it. They are knowledgeable, methodical, and very respectful of their customer's time. Once a task is completed, they take the time to sweep up, wipe down, or clean any area where they worked. I will continue to use SC Electric, and highly recommend them to anyone needing electrical work.

He works very cleanly, efficiently, does his work and does it well. I like the way he handles him self.

Great work! Shawn was able to come out the same day I called. He figured out what was causing the short was and came up with a workable solution. I'm very satisfied with his work and plan to use SC Electric for a future project.

Shawn is superb at diagnosing electrical problems and quickly correcting them at a very reasonable cost. He is an expert electrician and great to deal with in every respects. Having now used him twice, I cannot imaging hiring anyone else. I would give him the highest ratings in every respect.

In the middle of a new kitchen install, the contractor noticed an electrical recepticle that would wind up behind a cabinet which had been overlooked in the inital design and measurements. I called Shawn (whom I'd used before with great results) and he came quickly and solved the problem so that the cabinet install could proceed on schedule. Later he returned to reinstall the undercabinet lights and fixtures and upgrade a poorly done recepticle under the sink. Even that was difficult because the contractor had left him little space and almost covered some of the wires. But everything was finished perfectly. Shawn is extremely knowledgable and a great problem solver. I have had several electricians before I joined Angies List with barely adequate or debateable results. Now I would never call anyone else.

My initial phone call was returned very promptly and Sean was able to come out and do the necessary repairs the same day. I felt the hourly rate was a bit steep for the work performed but I was in a jam and needed someone quickly who wouldn't botch the situation further. I would only hesitate to use SC Electric again because of the steep price, but if price were no object, I would definitely call SC Electric in the future.

The person that answered the phone asked me lots of questions about the problem and then told me it was most likely not an electrical problem, but a malfunctioning LED bulb. He even verified this with a pool repair person and called me back to say that these type of bulbs go bad fairly often. I really appreciate this level of customer service. When I next need electrical work at my home I will be sure to call this company. It is so nice to find an honest professional.

I picked SC from angies list because of the high amount of recent A ratings. SC answered the phone when I called. He said he could come out the next morning and he quoted me $155 per hour. He showed up when he said he would; he called ahead to confirm. Fixed everything we needed done perfectly as we requested within the hour. He charged me what he quoted. We are very satisfied and would use him again if needed.

Shawn and his assistant were extremely efficient and knowledgable. They arrived at the agreed time and went straight to work. He solved all of my electrical issues and I highly recommend SC Electric for any of your electrical needs.

I purchased anew dryer for my home and was having problems with the heating element. I had an appliance repairman come by the home and he indicated that there was no problem with the dryer. I called Shawn and described the situation. He arrived within about 30 minutes after our phone conversation. He identified the problem and rectified the situation by replacing a faulty breaker. This is the second time in as many weeks that I have called on Shawn to help me out with some electrical gremlins. He is efficient and professional and I highly recommend him for all of your electrical repair needs.

I CALLED MR. CARRERAS THE MORNING OF 10/3/12 WITH AN URGANT PROBLEM. I NEEDED A 30 AMP CIRCUIT BREAKER TO REPLACE A 20 AMP BREAKER IN THE ELECTRICAL PANEL BEFORE THE HOUSE WATER HEATER COULD BE REPLACED. HE ADVISED THAT HIS WORK SCHEDULE WAS HEAVY FOR THE DAY BUT HE WOULD CALL ME LATER TO COME TO MY HOUSE PROBABLY IN THE AFTERNOON. TO MY PLESANT SUPRISE HE WAS ABLE TO COME TO MY HOUSE BEFORE 12 NOON AND INSTALL THE 30 AMP BREAKER AND CHECK THE ELECTRICAL WIRE SIZE. THE ELECTRICAL WORK WAS A SMALL JOB, BUT SHAWN WAS UNDERSTANDING OF MY URGENT PROBLEM AND MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR MY WATER HEATER TO BE REPLACED THAT AFTERNOON. I WANT TO SAY 'THANK YOU' SHAWN AND I LOOK FORWARD TO CONTACTING YOU FOR FUTURE ELECTRICAL WORK.

Shawn and his helper came as scheduled on Tuesday to install an outdoor power outlet under my covered patio. I appreciated their punctuality and the ease of communication with them by phone and email. Shawn had sent me an estimate for the work, he performed the work very well, and invoiced me for the estimated amount. This is the second time that I use their services and I will use them again. They are very professional and very reliable.

SC Electric shows up on time and got the job done quickly. SC is always helpful, cleans up after they are finished and explains everything before leaving. He even advised me on other several electrical issues throughout the house. This is my second time using SC Electric and I will call them back again and again for reliable and trustworthy service!

My heater, which was brand new, stopped heating. I also noticed that the breaker for the water heater would trip about 20-30 minutes after I reset it (it would make this crackling/sizzling sound). I called SC Electric and they came out and before giving me any type of estimate or doing any work, he did something real quick and told me that if that doesn't work to call him back and he would change the breaker. And if it did work, then I got a free service call. While the breaker didn't trip for about an hour, it finally did. So i called back and he came back and changed the breaker and the water heater has been fine since (knock on wood). He, I believe his name was Sean, was very professional and friendly and I would use them again.

It went great. They worked hard , fast and very efficently on all these problems. Sean took the time to explain everything to me before he left. I highly recommend his company!

Shawn helped me with a kitchen renovation. There were 2 scheduled visits for the rough and final electric. He and his team also responded on very short notice to an un-planned (i.e. un-scheduled) service call. Throughout the experience his communication was clear and responsive. He was here when he said he'd be here, he did what he said he was going to do. There were no surprises, no disappointments, no hidden costs - again I'm very pleased that I found Shawn thru Angie's List.

The electrician got back to us promptly when we first contacted him, and kept his word about getting back to us at all points afterwards. He showed up exactly when he said he would, completed the work in a very reasonable amount of time, and I was confident that the work was done very well. He also explained the changes he made with the breaker box. The work area was cleaned afterwards and any items moved to complete the work were replaced to their original place. He was very courteous. I would feel very comfortable hiring the same electrician in the future.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! They are crazy to charge people a fee to receive a quote!! DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!

I called and scheduled a quote for the work I was looking to have done in my condo, I was asked to explain what it was I was looking for and then listened as several suggestions were made to provide better lighting in the kitchen which I agreed to. It was pointed out that the bathroom fans in both the 'master' and 'main' bath were not vented to the outside and were simply recirculating the air within the space. I agreed to have 4 'can lights' and 3 pendent lights installed in the kitchen along with having both bathroom fans replaced and properly vented. I had overhead lighting installed in both bedrooms and the office as well. The entire experience was handled professionally and in a timely manner, from the estimate to the completion of the work. I am very satisfied with the work that was done and the courteous and professional manner of SC Electric. I will use them in the future if I have any additional electric work that needs to be done as well as recommending them to family and friends.

This is the second time that I've used SC Electric and he was just as good as the first time. He always works with my schedule as much as he can so that I don't have to miss much work, calling me 30 minutes before he's going to arrive at my house so I can meet him - none of this "between 8 and 12" business that you get from so many others. I am so happy to have found SC Electric through Angie's list - I never have to worry about the job being done right (and to code and permitted, if required - see my earlier review). He's the best!

He is tops. He came the same day I called him. He did his work efficiently.

Be on Time or be in touch. Those were words I lived by in my own sales business for years. On my first attempt to book him, Shawn called back promptly to set up the initial appointment. On the scheduled day, when he was delayed at a doctor's appt, he called to let me know he was running late and gave me his new ETA which he kept to. This worked for me. Once here, and after assessing my situation, he immediately went to work and moved from task to task quickly and efficiently. He was able to keep a pleasant conversation going as he worked without getting distracted. He offered opinions when asked and observations/recommendations regarding future corrective work and/or optional approaches. I found Shawn to be professional in every way and absolutely would recommend him to anyone who needs a certified licensed electrician.

As a single lady what a pleasure it was to finally find an electrician that took the time to ask questions about my problem, advise me what to purchase ahead of time and actually showed up at the scheduled date and time. The conversations before the actual work to be done not only saved S.C. Electric time but saved me additional expense, so I could have the correct merchandise beforehand. Highly recommend!

Had a problem with my ground fault circuits. Shawn recommended the solution over the phone.

Everything was fixed and working properly. He rebated from the original price so, I was conformed with the price.
