Shawn was very knowledgeable in his job. He was prompt, courteous and friendly. I would definitely recommend Shawn of S.C. Electric, Inc., any time. We had a situation where we had kitchen remodeling approximately 6 years ago and all of the metal lighting components were cheaply made, breaking and difficult to replace bulbs. Shawn came in, and gave us a very fair price estimate to replace all of the lighting compoents. Additionally, he added the proper wall switches to connect to the under-counter lighting and our main kitchen light. Very excellent and professional work. We recommend Shawn anytime.

I had a hot water heater flood 1/3 of my home on a Saturday. I spoke with Shawn at 7am Monday morning. By 9:30am he was at my home. He checked my electrical panel to make sure it has nothing to do with the hot water heater malfunction. He patiently explained the pros and cons of using an electric tankless water heater and the expenses involved in rewiring the electrical panel, etc... He was professional and patient and sent a thank you card when he got back to his office. Nice touch

He made himself available on very little notice and was able to remove every fixture within 2 hours. He was prompt, professional, neat, thorough, and yet quite fast. I could not have asked for more.

I called SC Electric to install 2 new ceiling fans into my home and Shawn scheduled an appointment for the installation. Shawn was at my home on time to start the project. Both ceiling fans were installed in about an hour and a half, without any issue. The ceiling fans look and work great! I will be using SC Electric for my upcoming home projects as well, more ceiling fans and new electrical outlets for outside. Thank you for doing a great job!

We needed a GFI outlet installed in our garage, approximately 3 feet from the breaker box. I had similar work done several years ago and had an idea of how much this should cost, approximately $200.00. The first electrician I called came out an gave me an outrageous estimate. I then called SC Electric. I explained what I wanted and the location. The electrician told me he couldn't promise without seeing it but if my description was correct he said what I thought was correct. He came out. Did the job and billed me less than what I thought - $185.00. I will definitely use S.C Electric in the future and recommend them to others.

I was pleased with the service provided. Sean came the same day I called. He was very professional. I would definitely use S.C. Electrical again.

They wanted to charge us $100 for an estimate and if they get the job, they would credit it back. Never heard of this before when asking for an estimate for work to be done. Needless to say, we won't be working with these folks.

Company showed up at the agreed upon time. Found incorrect wiring to the spot from a previous installation. Rewired the light and adjacent wall outlet. Reviewed and advised on another outdoor outlet we were having trouble with. Additional work was put off for another time.

It went well. He fixed the light and tested some others just as a courtesy which you don't find happening today. He was honest and I could not be more happy with them. My hat off to Angie's list also for the contact

Shawn arrived on time with his assistant and got straight to work. This was his second visit. The first visit was prior to the holiday season and I was having a tough time getting someone to come. Shawn came the Thursday before the big weekend and completed everything that needed to be done so that my house was at least comfortable for the holidays. He called prior to coming to confirm the appt.. He was thorough with the all the work that needed to be done and left my home clean. His assistant was very professional and walked me through all the work when he finished. I will definitely use Shawn in the future and would recommend him to anyone who wants to have the work done thoroughly and professionally.

This was probably the best experience I have ever had with a tradesman. I will use Shawn again and recommend him without hesitation. My parents had a breaker box fire. Shawn was there within a day. He stayed on top of the job, beginning to end. He coordianted with the insurance adjustor and the electrical inspector to avoid delays in the job. Start to finish, he had their electricity on within three days of the fire. Remember, this included obtaining a permit, finding a replacement for the old breakers and box as well as doing the actual work. I've done my share of electrical work and I'm familiar with the National Electrical Code. I've seen more than my share of bad, dangerous work and I wanted a true professional whom I could trust with my parents' life. Shawn was exactly such a person. There were none of the usual starts and stops, such as misfitting parts, wrong parts or stop-work surprises. He started and worked straight through to the finish. He worked efficiently and strictly to code. Yes, he charges $135 per hour, but my guess is that he uses less than half the hours of other electricians. In the end, he costs no more (perhaps less), and he gets the job done quickly and safely. I plan to use him for my own home.

Shawn was very professional I was surprised when he called the day before to confirm our appointment I mean who does that! My experience was perfect I needed a new outlet wired in and he troubleshot problems with some outside wiring and repaired them for me. He was prompt on time and absolutely professional! When he left there was no mess nothing to clean up and the price was fair. I will be using recommending him to friends and certainly use S.C. Electric again.

This is the third time we've used SC Electric. Shawn is also prompt to arrive and works quickly, efficiently and knowledgeably. He's very practical and reasonably priced for his level of expertise. He's definitely our "go to" electrician.

Disappointing to not receive a response.

I found S.C. Electric's name on Angie's List Shawn promptly returned all phone calls and answered questions. He took the time understand the work requested and sent me the quote within the promised time frame He arrived on schedule. . He is what I would call an Electrician's Electrician......meaning he used all the proper procedures including Lock Out of main switch at our Condo Meter Room. Shawn did an excellent job. The job came in on budget and he and his helper left the job clean. I will definitely hire him again.

Great service, everything work well. Left interior clean, installed overhead ceililng light and socket. Replaced outdoor receptacle and cover. Recommended A+

We had to replace circuit breaker for our insurance. I found Shawn on Angie's List and liked all his reviews. He was very professional and completed the work very quickly with no problems. We will call him again if ever we need electrical work.

I was extremely disappointed in my conversation with Shawn. His responses were abrupt and I thought he was rude. I told him I wanted the work done, I was not calling for an estimate. When even that did not seem to make him any happier, I said "never mind" and hung up on him. Call me crazy but he could have at least ACTED as if he appreciated a potential new customer, one who was ready, willing and able to schedule an immediate appointment. Note: his rates are EXTREMELY high. He quoted me $135.00 an hour plus, plus, plus and when asked if that was standard his response was "that is what MY rate is". Bye-bye, Shawn, I have already contacted one of the other companies with the same excellent ratings and they are doing the work for me at $85.00 an hour.

I needed to upgrade exterior lighting in front and in back of the house, and to replace the entire fixture for underwater pool lighting. In trying to locate a reliable electrician, I read many reviews on Angie's List and was very impressed by the glowing reviews of Shawn Carreras of SC Electric in Davie. I emailed Shawn and listed the work I needed to be done. He telephoned me first thing the very next morning. He came to the house to review the site, made some recommendations, and I selected the type of lighting fixtures I wanted. He arrived with his assistant early on the scheduled day, and they worked diligently for about five hours, completing all of the installations with great care and efficiency. Shawn is highly skilled and very professional. It was a pleasure working with him and I highly recommend him . I will definitely call him again for any future electrical projects.

Had several circuit breakers that were in really bad shape....dangerous, actually. Was not in a position to replace the entire breaker box, so Shawn really worked with me to correct the problems and get the circuits working again. I was pleasantly surprised at the bill. He showed up when he said he would, worked quickly and efficiently, and resolved my problems. Couldn't ask for more. He will be doing ANY and ALL of my future electrical work. Thank you, Shawn.

I had 2 new light fixtures installed outside along with new outdoor receptacles plus had a landscape spotlight replaced. Also had a new chandelier installed inside. Shawn was on time and a true professional. Awesome experience from start to finish.

I had a strong suspicion that I had a faulty circuit breaker because for a few months my dryer would trip it after a few minutes use, then it wouldn't work at all. Since the dryer was old and also suspect, I replaced the dryer. The moment the installer hit the power button, it tripped the circuit breaker. Anyway, Shawn returned my call on the same day, and made an appointment for 2 days later. He called me when he was on his way to the appointment. He and his assistant showed up on time, were clean, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. The price was lower than I had anticipated. My circuit breaker box is old and not up to current codes, I plan to use SC Electric to replace it in the near future if their quote is at all reasonable.

Shawn arrived as agreed and promply got to work. Took great care to keep areas clean as he was working. As I said, when up in the ceiling, he noticed a conduit that had been broken, told us about it, and fixed it as well. He had goo suggestions as to where to place lighting. All in all, a very professional job.
