The owner came at exactly 8 am as promised. I had typed up a punch list and he reviewed the whole job with me before he got started. He also explained that there is a percentage of failure with the new LED light bulbs so I saved the receipt and the packaging so that if any fail in the next few months I can exchange them. He was fast, efficient, and also pointed out to my husband a switch that had been installed by someone else previously was "upside down". He corrected this. I would definitely use this company again. Very customer service oriented and did exactly what he says he is going to do.

Yesterday I flipped on my utility room switch, the light flickered and went out. I got out my ladder, took the outside of the receptacle off and it looked all burned and rusted. I looked in my favorite place for an electrician and chose Mr. Carreras because of all the outstanding reviews as well as his location. He called this morning, said he would be here between1PM and 3PM. He arrived changed out the recepticle and found that the switch was bad as well and replaced that too. He also replaced the receptacle in the garage and its switch as well. I found him to be knowledgable, friendly, professional and efficient. I will definitely call him in the future if necessary and recommend him to my neighbors.

Shawn worked so quickly and efficiently that he was able to complete several projects in the course of an hour. He was able to let me know prior to the appointment what type of dimmer to purchase, which also saved me time and money. I will certainly use his services again, and I highly recommend him.

Shawn was professional, punctual and did a great job. When I spoke to Shawn initially on the phone and told him that our outside light stuttered he suggested I have a new fixture on hand in case he had to change it, which was great advice because that's what happened. The new fixture is smaller than the first and Shawn went ahead and caulked the area around it. He also checked a kitchen ceiling light, and easily answered questions about other projects I have in mind. I'm very pleased with the work he did.

When I contacted S.C. Electric, Sean scheduled an appointment to meet with me the next day. On the day of our appointment, he assessed the situation quickly and efficiently disconnected the under-cabinet lights. We discussed the timeframe for reconnection, once the kitchen refacing was completed. I also expressed concern regarding a malfunctioning closet light, and Sean discovered the problem. He fixed the problem, and explained that I had been using the wrong light bulb type and wattage for the fixture. Sean changed out the light bulbs in two other closets, to prevent future damage for those closet fixtures.

Shawn fixed it without any problems. He was a very nice gentleman, who was very professional. It was a pleasure doing business with him. Would highly recommend him, and defintely will use him in the future.

Shawn completed each project faster than the previous one with perfect precision and care. He identified things we should be aware of and fixed things we hadn't yet noticed, but would have for certain. He was also worked carefully to save us money where he could rather than taking the easy way out and just replacing parts that didn't necessarily have to be fixed. He did excellent work and was reasonably priced. We will definitely be calling him again for future projects.

Shawn was great. Very professional, polite, and punctual. He worked quickly but carefully, and I was pleased with the quality of his work. I don't have a single complaint or concern! We will definitely use him again for any electrical work.

He arrived on schedule. He determined that the in-ground receptacle had to be replaced, including the pole. He provided one that sits up away from the lawn more than the other one did, which should be less of a problem with the lawnmen hitting it, and water getting into it. The other receptacle was on a wall and had completely burned out, cracked, and blew a fuse we did not even know existed in an outdoor panel. We had decorative lights on a timer that plugged into that outlet, as well as an outlet for the cable connections. It appears that the lights may have caused that problem. He replaced everything there. Everything was working well. Then the monsoons came for a week. Water must have gotten into something on that circuit & blew the GFI again. Shawn came by today on a Saturday, replaced it again, and did not charge us at all! Is it any wonder that we call him for all our electrical needs?

job was handled by long distance communication. This is a second home and is 1500 miles away. Got SC electrics name from Angie's list. Based on the reviews from the list, I Trusted Shawn with a key to the house in case he needed to shut off power from the inside. It was unnecessary. he was able to disconnect outside the house from the outside. he called upon arrival to the house and when job was completed. he returned the key promptly. I will be pleased to use/recommend SC electric in the future.

I decided to write this update because of my repeat excellent experience. It's not the replacement of the switch, not the fluorescent fixture but the the third, unexpected work that he did with such an enthusiasm that made me so pleased. Here is the story: After he finished with the first two tasks that we agreed upon, I showed him my overhead fixture that I brought over from our old house. I already spent countless hours trying to mount it but I couldn't finish the job; the sizes of screws, holes, lengths didn't match and although the fixture was hanging and wired in, it was just not right. I asked him if he could take a look and come back later to fix it. He said he can do it right away. It took over an hour because the metric and the English system didn't match. Eventually he got it right with an appropriate extension, unfortunately it was copper, while all other parts were black. No problem, he pulled a black enamel marker. And, of course, at the end he cleaned up spotless.

Provided an estimate. Was punctual and professional.

I was very impressed with Shawn's work. He is extremely professional and he was always very straightforward with pricing and giving me an idea of what the work would entail. I think he values both his time and skills appropriately. After meeting Shawn and receiving the quote from him, I knew that this was a guy who was an expert in his craft and would do the job correctly; I did not have to get estimates from anyone else. Electrical work is one area in a house that you never want to skimp on; you want to get the right person for the job and clearly Shawn was the right person to hire. Anytime I need help with electrical work, I will be calling Shawn.

I found SC Electrical on Angie's List and called Sean on the Weds evening - we made an appointment for 09:00 to 11:00 on the Friday. At 08:30 he called promptly to advise he was half an hour away. He arrived at 09:00 and went straight to work. He was very professional. New exactly what he was doing. Systematically addressed everything we needed. He ended up changing a number of switches throughout the house. He offered a number of tips, he didn't try and upsell us on anything. We felt very comfortable with him in the house. I would highly recommend him and will certainly call him if we ever require an electrician again. No hesitations.

The service was good. He was excellent. He was right on whatever he projected. He did a very good job. His quote was accurate.

This is the second job Shawn has completed for us. He is absolutely fantastic. He upgraded our electric panel in preparation for a big renovation. He is prompt, courteous, extremely professional and neat. We found him via Angie's list and will continue to promote his services. He is the only person we will ever use for electric work.

i thougught it went well. i was on a tight schedule, and i appreciated the fact that shawn came on time and did the work in a timely basis. he came back promptly when one of the flood lights, did not work as it should.

One of the most Professional Electricians I have ever dealt with. I was in a bad sisuation, my old contractor up and left in the middle of the work. Whats worse the contractor didnt get permits and the city was coming down on me to get it done. I called around to a few electrcians from Angies list and no one would help. No one cared I could be fined or even have my house taken away. Everyone told me they dont touch other people's work. Then I called SC electric. Shawn was the only one who cared. He agreed to take on the job and help me get my electrical permit. He saved me from being fined 100 dollars a day!!! Anyone looking for a great Electrician should use SC electric. If you use anyone else you are just misguided.

I chose Shawn for electrical work I needed completed from his favorable reviews on Angie's list. I can confirm those reviews are accurate. Because he was so efficient with the fan install, I asked him to replace an outside outlet, ten inside outlets, and repair various mystery switches in our home that did not work. He even had time to organize and hide various cables from our new TV. Though some electricians I contacted from Angie's List charge per project I prefer Shawn's hourly rate of $95.00. I can confirm he gets right to work and continues until the job is done. My highest form of compliment being a customer for life and being able to recommend Shawn to others. He is worth every penny he charges.
