Sean arrived promptly at first appointment and quickly diagnosed and solved the problem we were having with a newly replaced pool pump. He gave us a quote for the under cabinet lighting replacement and measured for the new size and placement. We made an appointment for installation of the new fixtures. Due to my schedule changes, I twice had to call and reschedule the appointment and the owner was very cooperative in rescheduling. He again arrived promptly for the second appointment , efficiently installed the fixtures after removing the old ones and showed us how to operate the new fixtures. He leaned up completely, was very professional and I would gladly recommend him and hire him again.

Shawn the owner of SC Electric and his assistant arrived timely and replace two garage door exterior light fixtures. It took about 1/2 and hour give or take. I was pleased with the work and would use this company again.

A bulb broke off inside a bathroom fixture, another bulb was stuck, and several other fixture sockets seemed iffy. I called Shawn, who's helped me out twice before, and he said he was booked through mid-next week but would let me know if something opened up. True to his word, he was able to fit me in yesterday when there was a last-minute cancelation. A lot of vendors will tell you they'll keep you in mind and call if someone cancels, but they don't. Shawn is reliable, professional, personable, explains what he's doing and does a great job.

I had recently had a pool remodel done by Essig Pools which included a new pool heater. Essig told me I would have to have to increase the electric service to my house to handle the heater and would require going through FPL. They sent their preferred provider, Shine Electric out to do a load calculation. I was given a proposal to do the work for $3000. I got a second opinion through Shawn at SC Electric. Turned out I did not need to increase my service and Shawn did the work in a professional manner for $600. Always pays to get a second opinion.

Everything from initial contact to the completion of the job was well coordinated and happened on time and on budget. I received quotes from two other highly rated Angie's List contractors prior to choosing SC Electric. Shawn was the most affordable and the most thorough. I will definitely call SC Electric first for future work.

Efficient, prompt and expedient service.

Shawn is a true professional. He's prompt, personable, and makes the process a "no-brainer" for his customers. I hired him to install an electrical box to simplify using my portable generator in the event of a hurricane. I was concerned that the generator was too heavy for me, and wanted the connection as close to the entrance as possible. I explained this to Shawn when he came to give a quote. He looked at the generator, and asked if I had ever tried to move it (it's on wheels). I had not. Needless to say, it's easy to move. I had two other vendors out prior to Shawn, and neither of them had thought to ask me to try and move it. After installation of the panel, Shawn taught me how to connect the generator with the panel. He even gave me color-coded step-by-step instructions. Shawn arrives exactly on-time, every time. He treats his customers and their time with respect, rather than if they are just a number (or $$ sign) - which is so rare in this day and age. As another of his customers noted "He has spoiled us"

We woke up in the morning and had no hot water. Hoping that it was only an electrical issue with the hot water heater I called S.C. Electric to diagnose the problem. They came out the same day and replaced the wiring in the junction box to the hot water heater. Apparently, the previous owners used the wrong amps. The new wiring fixed the problem. S.C. Electric was professional, efficient, and reasonably priced. We would definitely use them again for any electrical issues with our house.

This was my first time using Angies List. I chose SC Electric because of the great reviews and I wasn't disappointed! Shawn, the electrician, arrived early and began work right away. He checked all outlets searching for the problem and even moved a very heavy and large wall unit to check the outlet in back for problems. He was polite and professional yet friendly also. The short happened to be in the attic and he repaired the problem. The work was all within the hour and the price was very reasonable. I feel safe and confident in hiring SC Electric again. It was the best $125.00 I've spent! I am planning to contact him in the future for some other work I want done.

Shawn was extremely professional and efficient. He came out the same day of my call and got all the work done in just over an hour. I am certain other contractors would have taken much longer / charged much more. I am definitely going to use him again in the future for other projects. He came across as sincere and honest - definitely a rarity in South Florida. Would not hesitate to recommend.

This was easy from beginning to end. Contact was made Thursday evening thru Angie's List. Received return message within 30 minutes and phone call next morning. All work was completed Monday in one hour. All furniture that was moved was put back in place. They were neat, polite and thorough. Based on this experience we would definite use them again and would recommend to anyone looking for an electrician.

He was excellent to work with and brought his assistant with him. We had worked the price out with him before he came and that it would be same with the assistant. He is very professional and timely always early. I would definitely work him again. He was very upfront and told me that if I bought the fixtures what the hourly rate would be to install. We had him do a couple other items while he was here. He had the materials for the extra work. He is easy to contact by text and phone calls.

Shawn and his crew were amazing. They were on time, professional, courteous, clean, and incredibly efficient. I could not be happier with all the work they did. My expectations were pretty high due to all the good reviews I read - but they still managed to exceed them. Everything works perfectly, and looks fantastic. Shawn found several errors that had been made in various locations (e.g. wires spliced improperly; outlet installed incorrectly) that were outside the scope of work. Instead of just ignoring them, he pointed them out, then fixed them. Shawn was able to provide estimates for certain portions of the work, and for others, charged an hourly rate. I had no concern about this as he and his team worked very well together and were very focused and efficient. No dilly-dallying by this crew! They even folded some extra drop cloths (old sheets) that I provided - better than I could ever fold them. I will never consider hiring any other electrician, and will recommend S.C. Electric to all my friends.

Shawn had been for another job the week before and was very efficient so I asked him to do some other work for me. I am extremely pleased with the work and very happy I am able to see better in my kitchen ! I have another electrical job done and WILL be calling him again.

This is the third time we have used Shawn. He did a great job again. We called him and he was able to fit us in within a couple of days. We'll be calling him again when needed.

Shawn is great, super professional, doesn't forget anything and leaves you with flawless work. I provided most of the fixtures and his price was great. I only got another quote to compare to his price and he beat them by $800 or so without even knowing it. He definitely beat the expectations I had for the job and what we initially thought we could accomplish.

Shawn arrived on time and completed the work in the estimated time. It took about three hours to install the larger units and properly vent them as well as add a multi switch in one room to allow independent use of the night light. He comes with a helper who cleaned up afterwards and removed all the rubbish. We were very satisfied it looks and works great and he took extra care so that I did not need to do any ceiling touchup. Use him you will not regret it.

The installation went very well. I contacted several electricians but Shawn's quoted price was the best. Others were asking for between $500 and $2000 more to do the job and they also recommended unnecessary work. Shawn knew exactly what the insurance company wanted and did just that. He pulled the permit from the township for me and began work just a few days later. he completed the work sooner than expected so I was without power for less than a day. Other companies told me that I would be without power for 2 days. He was on time and very courteous. I would absolutely recommend him to others who need electrical work done.

SC Electric was able to fix the junction box without cracking the mirror. He had to come back twice to completed the work, but he did an amazing job! Clean, courteous, called ahead of time, and everything you want a professional to be!! Normally this job would have required breaking the mirror which would have cost me $700-800 to replace. He saved me that expense with is expertise.

We called on Shawn to install new lighting in our remodeled kitchen. This was a follow up to his rewiring of new stove with microwave before the remodel. He is very professional and efficient and extremely competent. He is pleasant and gets the job done. We are pleased that after 30 years in Broward we have found an electrician who really knows his stuff. We will definitely call upon him again as needed.

He was very punctual and courteous. He arrived with a worked. Both provided excellent service. Shawn was very thorough in installing the generator switch and answered every concern I had with electricity in the house. He ensured that all switches on the panel were installed correctly and operating. I would use the company again for future electrical work.
