Description of Work: Relocated dryer receptacle; installed new wire and conduit; installed dryer vent through outside wall. Very happy with the quality of his work. Every step to the job was carefully and perfectly done. Probably not the cheapest on Angie's List, but the results were worth the cost. Would definitely use again.

Description of Work: He offered to give me a detailed proposal at a cost of $100. Presumably the quote would be detailed enough to use as a reference if I did not use him for the work. If I selected his bid, that would be credited to the balance. He seemed professional, so I thought, okay let's pay the up front money. I was not prepared for a price nearly double everyone else. I feel this is a nice side business for him. To get unsuspecting consumers to pay for the quote, and then give very high prices, thus making a small income on the cost of those quotes without actually doing any electrical work.

Description of Work: This is the second time that I called Sean to do some work for us. I was so pleased by what he did the first time I decided not to fool around and try to install new fixtures myself. He is very busy but he was able to squeeze me in on my day off from work. He always calls ahead of time to let you know when he is coming, confirms, and calls when he is on the way. This time around I had him install two new light fixtures that needed to be wall mounted. He took everything apart and showed me the inside of the fixture was not made well but I wanted it installed anyway. I had tired to change a light bulb in the ceiling myself the week before the base piece remained in the socket. He had the tools to get it out and install a new bulb. I also had him install a new receptacle for the alarm system to be compliant with electrical standards. This guy knows his stuff. He takes is thorough, efficient, and always cleans up after he is done.

Description of Work: Rewired some lights and added another to a closet. Very prompt, tidy and professional. Will use him again!

Description of Work: The laundry room light, new outlet in the laundry room, garage light sensor and motion sensor lighting outside our home were installed perfectly. He also removed extraneous outlets by our pool that he observed were not installed in compliance with building codes by the previous owners of our home, and he tracked down the source for a light switch near our front door that we were puzzled by since we moved into our home. We will definitely call this service again as he was very professional and went above and beyond what was asked.

Description of Work: Needed some electrical work done recently and knew exactly who to call. This was my second time using SC Electric and it was another outstanding experience. I had some outdoor lighting installed- motion lights . Also had an outdoor receptacle installed plus some existing wiring checked out. Shawn also moved my AC thermostat. Super efficient. Timely, knowledgeable. Definitely will use SC Electric for all future needs. I have total confidence in this company.

Description of Work: My Cousin, Bonnie Kearns called & left a message. A man named Sean returned her call within 90 minutes. He asked her a few questions about her electrical problem. Without going to great detail about the exact problem,he talked her through a few steps,& resolved her problem over the phone.He was very nice & professional.He even laught at how she saved herself from a service call. She & I would reccomend SC Electric to anyone in the South Florida area.

Description of Work: I've been having some recent issues with my appliances related to power surges so I went to Angie's List and decided to call SC Electric from all the postive feedback they had received. I spoke with Shawn who picked up the phone on my 1st attempt to call them. I explained my concerns and he made some recommendations for me to take prior to him coming out. He actually walked me through some specific steps I should take to try to pinpoint the issue. I thanked him for his time and advice and will definitely call him back if I feel it's necessary after I complete the checklist he recommended. Wow, great advice at no cost. Thanks Shawn. Description of Work: Sean is the best !

Description of Work: I called because my wife got a shock from an electrical switch. I was worried it was a problem with electrical system in the house but just the switch needed to be changed. After speaking with them over the phone I didn't even need them to come out (I have some electrical knowledge and can change a switch myself). I am very thankful for their honesty and helpfulness over the phone.
