For years we had spent thousands of dollars repairing/patching the roofs with only temporary success, so it seemed high time to replace the entire roof. It wasn't until the project began that we learned the nature and extent of our roof problems were directly related to the faulty construction practices of the builder. These problems had not been obvious during the bidding process as none of the roofing companies saw any of this. Because years of water intrusion there was a lot of wood to replace. So, Rocky's Roofing inherited way more than they originally expected. Additionally there were delays in the project beyond their control. We had decided to chance this project during the early summer, hopeing to beat the hurricane season. The estimate for replacing the roof was 6 - 8 weeks. Immediately the delays began. Dade County took over a month to issue the permits so when it finally began we were in the height of the rainy season. As soon as the gutters were removed one of the buildings began leaking like a sieve and we had angry homeowners complaining about water intrusion. On top of that our property manager decided, on his own, to cancel the tile order because he thought he could get a better deal elsewhere. It was trauma dejour for months. The only saving grace was we had choose a highly competent, professional roofer. I can not say enough about Shannon Davis, the owner of Rocky's Roofing. Shannon is a hands on owner. He was always available and on site to deal with problems as they occured and kept us in the loop. He personally met with all those upset homeowners and quickly moved to resolve their issues. As the Board of Directors is comprised of homeowners, none of us with construction experience, it would have been very easy for a less scrupulous roofer to take advantage of us, cutting corners and masking problems for us to deal with later. Now we are into the rainy season once again and our new roofs are as solid as they are beautiful, not one leak reported in the 9 months since the project finished. I am so impressed with Shannon and his team, with their professionalism, craftsmanship, integrity and good grace in the face of what seemed to me a never ending saga of delays, unforseen problems, weather and upset homeowners. I am so glad it's over, that the work is excellent and I can confidantly , happily and enthusisastically recommend Rocky's Roofing.

Shannon sent his "best and most experienced" man to do the work. After three days, he said he was done. I wrote him a check, and when it rained shortly thereafter, the leaks were still there. I went up on the roof, and found that only 1 repair was done. Contacted Shannon, and he said that he would send him out tomorrow. Tomorrow never came, and when "Rick" did show up, it was always raining, and the work could not be done in the rain. After two months of trying to get them out here, Shannon told me that he wasn't going to take care of anything, and to just forget it. He said that $ 1,800.00 was not enough to fight over, and that I should just get over it. To this day, they have not come out here and done any of the work that they were paid for.
