They were good. The pricing was competitive to another quote of service.

Contacted R&R earlier in the week, and Mr. Sharp came that evening for an estimate. He explained that his crew would be in the area later in the week, and they may be able to do the job Thursday, Saturday, or the beginning of the following week, depending on how other jobs go. We asked him to schedule us at their earliest available date, since a large limb was leaning against the roof, having broken during tropical storm Issac, and over time the weight broke the limb further until it fell against the house. We had contacted another tree service recommended by our lawn company, but that service kept missing their scheduled times, and we gave up on them and contacted R&R Tree Service based on their ratings on Angie's List. Because of thunderstorms Thursday and Friday, the crew was held up until Saturday afternoon, but we received a call they would stop by late Saturday afternoon. The crew came at the end of the day as scheduled, and went about their work quickly. There are two trees next to the side of our home, and both required pruning and cutting back lower limbs, including the broken one. When finished (only 30 - 40 minutes later), the trees looked much better, and all debris was removed. Another benefit to cutting the trees back is that we now get much more natural light in the master bathroom. Overall, we are pleased with the work and would hire R&R Tree Service again.

This is my second time using R&R. Consistent great service. I saw that tropical storm ISAAC was coming and I was due for a tree trim anyways so I called for an appointment. They were able to fit me in prior to the strom even though this was a relatively small job. No reason to stay around, I completely trust their work and just as before they completed the work with no mess or evidence they were here except for a trimmed tree. Needless to say, another great job for a fair price.

excellent - on time - friendly crew - Pete the owner was there the whole time. I requested a quote before tropical storm Isaac as i did from two others and he was the only one to show up. Which he did on time. Very helpful in adjusting his schedule to fit my needs. Quality focused and easy to work with. Honest man. -

Called three companies to give estimate for some trees and stumps to be removed or trimmed. Peter was the only one to show on time. He has been in business for years and has his own full time crew. Everything was done a s promised and cleaned up. I was satisfied with the work done and felt is was a good return on what I was charged. Called him out again a few months looted for a bigger job. Stumps were not taken down far enough for me. Pete was out the next day and made it right before he would accept payment. The crew were very sincere in their apology for not taking the stumps down further the first time and appreciated my request that they needed to grind them further. I will definitely use Pete and R&R for all of my future tree trimming needs..

They were are time and did the work very professionly. The crew of 6 or 8 set the poles and Peter told them what branches were to be cut. As the branches were cut they were taken to become mulch. When they were finish the cleaned the area and put back what was moved. The job was in the time frame that I was told they would have it done. I would recommend them for their services.

Called Peter at R&R and was happy at how quickly he initially got back to me. Even came by late in the evening to squeeze me in for an estimate. Like most people, I had received several estimates and R&Rs was on the high side. Because the great reviews here on Angies List I wanted to go with him and was able to negotiate a slightly reduced rate. Peters justification for the rate (stump grinding) was that he had a "6 man crew" and that it would take him "2-3hrs" to complete the job. Doing some simple math I determined this job to be 12-18 man hours of work, which seemed justifiable. Fast forward to when the work was done, he showed up with 2 guys and himself. He mentioned he had to leave to check on another job. I left for work and then got a call later that it took him an hour and hes done. At this point I was a little confused. While yes I agreed to a fixed price, I felt deceived. Here I was thinking it was 12-18 man hours and that justified the price but now it was actually 2 man hours??? I was effectively paying $300/hr per person. This didnt make me feel so good, but the quality of the work seemed to be pretty good. They did manage to cut my phone line even though it was marked by the Sunshine Locating company, which I had to live without phone for a couple days. A few weeks later I had chopped down several more of my hedges and needed stumping. I spoke again with Peter, he said he would give me a quote and call me back "in ten minutes". That was 4 days ago. Ive left him about 4 voicemails since then and not a single return call. I guess he has enough business that he doesnt want mine.

I wanted to have my palm trees (date, coconut, royal, etc) trimmed due to a recent infestation of white spiral fly. Peter came to my home at the scheduled time to give me an estimate. He explained in detail the services to be performed, and gave me a very reasonable estimate.He and his crew arrived at the time that we had arranged for the work to be done, made all of my trees look beautiful, removed all trimmings. R & R Tree Service is one of the best companies that I have worked with!!!

Peter, the owner was on hand for most of the time, especially for the big tree removals. His crew was very courteous and helpful,and did a remarkably hard job without complaining. They assisted with my requests for the visual appearance of certainshrubs and made sure all debris was cleaned up and hauled away. This project took 6 hours from start to finish. After all the terrible experiences I had using other tree companies, Peter was a pleasure to do business with, and I would not hesitate to use his services again.

The people doing the work were great. Pete, the owner, was a bit "testy" to deal with. I wanted more removed from the black olive trees and he didn't want to - he kept saying it would have charged me more to take more off. I just wanted the job done since the trees grow back so fast. I wanted them trimmed and thinned in preparation for hurricane season. I didn't want to have to hassle back and forth as to how many branches, etc. to remove. I felt that he was the expert and should have done the job the way I wanted it done instead of worrying about charging more. I did think the price was high was for work that was done.

R&R's price was the lowest estimate received. Pete stayed on site to supervise the job. There was no apparent damage to shrubs or overhead utility lines. Whatever he said he would do, he did: came on time for the estimate, called back when promised, performed the work at the hour agreed. I added a 10% cash tip for his crew.

Fast response to quote, fast response to begin the job. (Much appreciated, as the tree root had extended beyond the entrance this spring, and was beginning to lift additional pavers in our driveway.) On time, no issues, saved our irrigation line with their careful approach to removing/grinding the tree root, excellent clean up afterwards. And the price was reasonable. Peter is very personable. We will contact him again when needed, and recommend him to our friends and neighbors.

Peter and his team did a fabulous job! They were courteous and knowledgeable and were an absolute pleasure to deal with. I will definitely be calling R and R when my oak trees need trimming.

We are really pleased. I mean we wish he would do the rest of the yard, but we are pleased with what he does do.

Called to get an est. on removing 5 palms and roots. They arrived on time that afternoon on time to give me a quote. The quote was in line with other quotes. This was a hard job because 2 of the palms were large triangle palms stuck between pool and see wall and only 8 feet to work in. Another was a 30ft coconut pale hanging over the canal. They showed up on time the next day. Called to say they were on the way. Removed the palms cleaned the area including the pool, sweep up and hauled every thing away without damaging any other plants.The person that gave me the quote was on the property the entire time the work was done and asked me to inspect if the job met my expectations. Needless to say they will be getting more of m business.

I have used this company twice in the past 3 years. They have removed palms and trees, ground stumps, and pruned palms. In both cases I received written estimate that matched cost of the job. The company scheduled work and called to let me know they would be there in 30 minutes. 5 men arrived with three vehicles. It took an hour to complete the job. They were very careful about removing a palm that was close to the house, cutting it into pieces, rather than taking it down whole. They took care to move and replace the edging, rather than push the stump grinder over it. They cleaned up the job site and removed all the materials. I would recommend them and will use them again myself.

On the day we chose to have the work done, Peter and his crew arrived on time, and the entire job (cutting down the old tree, stump removal and planting of the new tree) was done within two hours. He consulted with us as the job was going on as to what was happening, The crew was efficient and careful, the area cleaned up and the only remnants of the old tree was the mound of earth where it used to be.

Peter returned my call the next day and came out to give a quote that day. Called the day before work was to be done to tell me time they would arrive. On time and completed the job in 15 minutes.

Overall, my experience with them was very good. Their estimated price of $1200 seemed reasonable, and they were very good and professional. I did not end up using them because I was not ready to move forward with the job. I would consider contacting them again in the future.

I liked them. They did a decent job. I didn’t have any problems with them. I thought that they did a great job. For me the price was a little high to just grind down the stump, but I don’t know. I would have liked it to be $80 to $100. I would surely use them again in the future if need be.

I called in the morning to schedule a time when they could come and trim five palm trees. It's a small job, and usually, they let me know what days/dates they will be in my area and I leave a check under the mat for them. On the day I called, they were already in my area and fit me in between two bigger jobs. They are always friendly and professional and clean up all debris.

I left a voice mail early in the week about removing a dead coconut tree in my back yarrd with R&R. Peter tried to come out the next day to give a quote but was delayed a day. I didn't need to be at home when he came and he called to let me know he had to re-schedule. He came the next day and I was able to meet him when he arrived. He informed me that the tree had been struck by lighting and showed me some of the signs that exhibit this. I was worried that it was caused by disease but found it strange that it died so quickly. So it was a relief to know the true cause. He quoted $350 and was able to come a couple days later, remove the tree and grind the stump. He told me how the tree would be removed and warned me that any electrical wiring near the stump could be damaged. He also told me that the result will be a small mound of wood chips that will settle over time. Peter was very honest, professional, and thorough during the process. Would definitely recommend.

Initially called on a Saturday to inquire about an estimate, and was told that they would come by to look at the tree that afternoon. He never showed up and didn't call. We were really disappointed but we see that a lot in South Florida. On Monday afternoon, received a call from the company (a different gentleman), who made an appt to take a look and give us an estimate. He showed up and we felt their price was very fair for removing the oak (we had had an oak removed years ago that cost twice as much by a different company). The tree hung over our house, so gettng a licensed and insured company was imiportant to us. We called 3 other companies, and received only 1 other estimate out of the 3. R&R showed up when they said they would, did a careful but swift job, ground the stump, cleaned up all the debree (including some palm frons that weren't included in the service). Really good work. Very happy with service. Would use again.
