I received a water bill of over $260 so we found the meter was running very fast which gave us the clue we have a leak somewhere. I called Keith on Thursday when I found his ad in "The Flyer", he came that afternoon, estimated a cost of $400 to dig the whole line from the main to around the house to find the leak. He even accepted to give a discount of $60, ending in a $340 cost total to find and fix the leak. He asked for a deposit of $200, which we paid, and he said will show the next day so we should save water in buckets because water would be shut off for around 24 hrs. We have a baby of 9 months so we took all the precautions we could. He did not show up on Friday neither call. My husband called him later in afternoon, he excused himself and that will be at the house on Saturday at first time in the morning. Very disappointed at this point becuase the deposit of $200 was already cash out and our meter was still running like crazy and the issue unsolved. He showed up Saturday around 9am, with one extra person and no machines to supposedly to dig the whole line. He dig 2 more feet from the line was already dig by my husband, who tried to find the leak before we call him, Keith said he found the issue, went to buy the part, came and replaced it, filled the hole with the dirt, and asked for $50 more. He never dig the whole line as he advised on Thursday, he only spent maximum one hour. On Sunday when we turn water back on, the meter was running just like before Keith "solved the issue", we called him and he and his girlfriend gave us the worst attitude saying they were not available at the moment because they were in a family reunion when his ad promotes a 24/7 emergency service. We asked them to come back and he said he will need another $400, and to rent a machine to dig, plus changing the whole pipe. He never mentioned he will need a machine on Thursday when he advised and gave us an estimate to dig the whole line. After 4 days now he said we need to paid to rent the machine. After my husband got upset and mentioned to him that we have rights as customers, he hung up the phone on him. I called back and his girlfriend answer the phone. She avoided me from talking to Keith and ends the call saying they will call us on Monday. Long story.... worst company ever... the name of the company has 20 years but Keith said he just both the company a month ago, obviously he has no experience in plumbing and both have no experience in customer service. I feel he stole our money and never solve the issue. I hope no one has to experience this situation because it is very frustrating to feel how people abuse from others. I sincerely hope God can bless them and make them realize they need to stop abusing.
Description of Work: Replace part from mail line, apparently it was leaking. They dig only 2 feet to apparently solve the issue.

Response from Plumbing by Takis
To whom it may concern: Let’s talk facts: 7/23/15 Plumbing by Takis provided a free estimate. • The recommendation was to replace sewer pipe from the house to the meter to eliminate all possible leaks for a cost of $600 and full warranty. 5 years parts and labor. • The customer did not wanted to do that but to do a patch job for $340 with no warranty. (There is a sign contract for this agreement). We indicated they will received a call 7/24/15 to schedule the job. 7/24/15 the job was scheduled for 7/25/15 at 9am 7/25/15 two employees arrived as soon as they started digging they found a previous patch job that was leaking. The sewer line was actually detached. The sewer line was repaired and specific instruction given as it is a main line and you cannot open the water for 24hrs for the fixed pipe to support the pressure of the City Water. Customer refused to pay the balance indicating that they found the leak right away. After explaining to them that they sign a contract they came with $50 and told Keith that was all they will pay. There is a current unpaid balance of $90 as they provided a deposit of $200. Customer was reminded again of instructions to wait 24hrs. 7/26/15 Mr. [Member name removed] called demanding for the crew to returned as the problem was not fixed. He was explained that we will call him on Monday to schedule the job as it was obvious that it was another leak. Keith reminded him of his recommendation of replacing the pipe to eliminate this situation. Mr. [Member name removed] wanted for the crew to drop everything and come to his house at that second. He was explained the crew was out of town but they will be scheduled on Monday. Mr. [Member name removed] started to scream on the phone, swearing and threatening to beat the crew up if they didn’t arrive to his house in an hour. He got so loud that other people around the cell phone heard his profanities and threats. We did not swear or threaten; we did hang up the phone. Mrs. [Member name removed] called back about 10 minutes later. She was reminded of the contract, the recommendations of replacing the pipe, the instructions given and the balance due. She was also told that we could call her on 7/27/15 to schedule the work at an additional cost of $400 as we will only replace the sewer pipe. We were not going to do any more patch jobs. She stated insulting and questioning the business. Yes Keith Benson just purchased the company but we are 3 generation Takis with over 20 years of experience in plumbing. New ownership does not mean less experience. We refused to go back due to the fact that we take the safety of our employees very seriously and based on the refusal of payment of the signed agreement and Mr. [Member name removed] threats.
