Wow, what an arrogant jerk the owner Steve is. I had sent out a message to him as I did to several other concrete companies for our homeowner board. Everyone of them got off their butt and called back, as one would expect usually businesses are looking for business and strive to provide good service. This was not the case with Pinecrest Contruction and its owner Steve Gonzalez. The message I sent was give me a call so we can get an estimate. Steve said this, "Sorry, but if you need my services, you should call me. steve." That is quote unquote exactly as he said it. Well don't worry Steve, I won't be calling. Thankfully, there are good construction businesses on Angieslist that don't cough up an attitude and don't stand on ceremony about calling customers to get new business! Wow, never heard of a business getting a person's number, not calling the person and calling the person a primadonna for expecting a phone call from the business. And how is someone telling you to call them a cold call? A cold call is when someone didn't tell you to call them. Clearly, we have a business owner here with a major attitude problem and customer service approaching level zero.

Obviously a prima-donna who thinks that he deserves to be treated as a higher being. Sorry, I've been in business too long to cater to this type of person. If you desire to hire me, respectfully give me a call and you will receive fantastic service. I don't cold call anyone and no, I don't need your work [member name removed]. Best Wishes with your new found power of the keyboard... Steve
Description of Work: Basically, we had them tour an inspection of our hurricane trap and he did a report.

Response from Pinecrest Construction
This client flagged me down on the street for a wind mitigation inspection on her home. She is giving me a bad review because her house did not qualify for a discount on her insurance. I refuse to give false reports and this is the kind of people us contractors have to deal with on a regular basis. Thanks for the bad review. I'm sure it makes you happy to slander others for your misery.
A previous owner of my house had enclosed a porch to make it part of the house. Long story short, this previous owner had done a terrible job, which led to eventual water damage and rot. I had several contractors come in, and Steve, the owner of Pinecrest, was the only one that came in and gave me a solid estimate instead of a general price range. His estimate was also towards the lower end of the other guys' range. He basically demo'd a corner of my house, removed outdated doors and windows, replaced inferior two-by-four construction from the last guy with solid concrete block, installed a new PGT impact door and window, refinished the interior this section, and moved some electrical stuff for us. He basically did everything but paint, which I wanted to take care of myself. He had one, occasionally two, assistants, and they were always courteous and quick to answer my questions or concerns. I will say that the project took a little longer than we anticipated, but I had asked them to take care of some other issues once they started, and the final product is fantastic. Thanks again Steve!
Description of Work: Old window/door removal. Demolition of existing walls. Wall rebuild. Impact door and window installation. Electrical switch and outlet installation and relocation. Concrete slab poured. Drywall. Skim coating to merge existing walls and new. Stucco on outside to match existing stucco.
They built our home and they are excellent builders. They supervised the whole moving and the tile work. They are very careful as to what they do. My husband wouldn't use anyone else. They took care of the plumbing and moving of the set tub and the tile on the floor. Everything was perfect. I couldn't find fault with anything.
Description of Work: I used the services of Pinecrest Construction for moving the set tub from our laundry room to the garage and had a pantry closet put in. We used them last in.
