WEEKLY POOL SERVICE, INSTALLATION & REPAIR TO POOL EQUIPMENT INCLUDING PLUMBING & ELECTRICAL WORK, REPAIR & INSTALL PUMPS, MOTORS & FILTERS, POOL RE-FINISHING.
I had a problem with my cleaning system in my pool so they came out and because I deal with them so many times, they did the service for free. They're very knowledgeable. I can call them up and I don't even have to tell them who I am because the number is programed in their system and they know who I am when I call. They will be out here either that day or the next day. They tell me when they're going to come and they're here. They have very good customer service that way. Usually, they can do whatever I need to have done first time.
Description of Work: I use Pinch A Penny for my pool. They replaced valves in my system outside. They replaced the timer mechanism. I always get all my pool chemicals there, get my water checked and things like that.

The pool technician showed up on time, installed the new pool pump without any issues. (except for the missing manual for the pump). He re-plumbed my return line for the salt water chlorination system and yes there were additional expenses for new valves. The installer did clean up nicely when he was finished. 12 days after the install I had a major leak in the plumping where it connected to the filter. I called up Pinch-A-Penny, no one could come out that day, but they sent someone the following day. Turns out that the seal between the filter and the new plumbing was broken, I guess they didn't have any in stock as it took 2 days to get it fixed. No bill was left after this service. I was thinking that this would be covered under warranty, as they just changed the plumbing next to the filter. Imagine my surprise when I went into the store to pay for the additional valves and now they wanted an additional $40. for the repair. This is where customer service went down. The person at the desk was very friendly, the owner, on the phone wanted his money, told me that the work they did was nowhere near the filter. Hello!! The pool tech just used a saber saw to cut off the plumbing next to the pump because there was no room to install the salt system. Well, one thing led to another. I ended up paying the additional money and left. If the owner had covered the repair I would have been that happiest customer around. Now I am looking for a new pool store.
Description of Work: I purchased a new pool pump and salt water chlorination system and the installation. The price for the pool pump was reasonable, compared to the prices I found on the internet. Both were on sale. As there was no room in the plumbing system for a salt water chlorination system, the pool return line had to be re-plumbed and I was required to purchase new valves.

They generally do come out at the normal time. However they changed the day they come out do the work and didn't notify me. However they are normally punctual. I don't have to be home when they come out. They used to leave notification on the door indicating they had come out but they stopped doing that. The approximate cost listed is per month.
Description of Work: They come out once a week to clean our pool, so four times every month. We have used them for about nine months. Depending on what needs to be done they vacuum the pool, add chlorine, balance the alkalinity of the pool. Every three or four months they add a stabilizer to the pool. They just do general maintenance.
