MR PC FIX

They were able to have a technician out the next day and he was on time that was about the only good thing. He never even attempted a fix, he told me it would be best for me to purchase a new 200gb hard drive from him and he would install windows there then copy the data over. He said it would take too long to diagnose and that would cost me too much. That sounded reasonable. He then opened up the computer and told me my mother board and power supply were on it's way out and my best bet would be to replace the computer. He didn't sell new computers but he could get me a refurbished Dell and add my media center card to it. At this point I got very suspicious and told him I would think about it. The hourly rate was $95 and then there was a $35 travel fee which I was not told about until the end. So basically I paid $130 for nothing. I did speak to the owner who said that the computer was older so it could go at anytime and if they fix it and it dies then I would have been unhappy with the service. I did find a technician on craigslist (Computer-Shrink Tom) who came by, he was very knowlegable, he picked up the PC fixed the issue all my data was still there and he returned it a day later for $85. I am typing this on my fixed computer and I was very happy with Tom's service. I personally would rather pay $85 for some more use of my current computer then $130 for nothing.

They had to take my old computer to their shop because it could not be fixed during the initial visit to my home. They brought my computer back; however, they could not get the computer to work. They had to take the computer back to their shop again. It was realized that my computer was not repairable and they offered to build a new computer for $400. My son wanted my old computer for parts and they charged me $50 for it. I had to take the new computer back to them twice and I was charged $50.00 again for the two times I had to take the new computer back to them for issues. Once the computer was finally hooked up and appeared to be working, it did not have sound. I called them to advise them I did not have sound and I was told that there was sound, and he was unable to walk me through troubleshooting the problem over the phone. I was then told I would receive a phone call after they returned from vacation; but I still haven t heard from them and the sound still doesn t work, and never has worked since it was built for me. I have called and left voice messages & I feel as though I am being completely ignored, even after telling him I would put him on Angie's List.
