Mr Electric

First job was fine. Currently having scheduling problems.

I was having wiring issues at my house so I called Mr. Electric to come troubleshoot and give me an estimate for the repairs. The electrician came and spent an hour troubleshooting, got nowhere, then tried to tell me the whole house needed to be re-wired and he would have an estimate done the next day. The next day, they came back out to do the estimate. The person who came to do the estimate did not think the whole house needed to be re-wired but still thought the repairs would be very high. I called a manager and asked the manager to come out and make the determination of what needed to be done since his own technicians could not agree. The manager said managers dont go in the field, but that he would do an estimate based on photos. Obviously, I called another company. The whole house did not need to be re-wired, it was actually a very simple grounding issue that had Mr. Electric bothered to even open the outside electrical box, they should have seen immediately. And by the way, it took this manager so long to even do his estimate, the other company (who I will be writing an excellent review for in a minute) had already finished the work by the time I even heard back from Mr. Electric for their estimate.

They sent someone out and said there was a short in the bulb part of the lighting. He advised me to go back to where I purchased the lighting and get the part replaced there since the lighting was so old. I was expecting them to get the parts and fix the problem, not put the problem back on me. He told me the office would email me the invoice. I had to call them after 7-10 days to get the invoice, and there was a transportation fee, and I was not told that from the beginning. They did admit he over charged me and a mistake and they reimbursed me but they still did not guarantee their work. I was very disappointed that they do not back their work and wanted me to do the leg work.
