When our washing machine started walking during the spin cycle and tried to kill the dryer by pushing it off the ledge (they had been fighting), it injured itself in the process. The tub got stuck. So we called Masco. They were able to send someone out the next day to look at it and work with my schedule of when I leave the house to get my kids from school. Unlike another company I won't mention ** cough** Home Depot ** cough**. Mr. William was prompt and got right to work. He was able to get the tub unstuck and fix the fabric softener dispenser. Then he went the extra mile and did another once over of the entire unit. That is when he noticed "the crack". A small crack at the very top of the tub. Said it should not be a problem, but stayed while I ran a load just to make sure. And of course we had a puddle. We needed a new tub. He said he would personally call me the next day with pricing. He kept true to his word. And I gave the go ahead to order the part which they were not sure how long it would take. By the next Monday I called the office to get an ETA on the part. Was told the 5/21. Ok. We can stick it out another week. Well two days later 5 days ahead of schedule I get a call that the part has arrived!! PRAISE JESUS!!! Two days later my dogs let me know that Mr. William is at my door ready to put our laundry woes to rest. Thank you Masco!!

The dryer will turn on but the heating component would not work. I replaced 2 different parts of the dryer per recommendation of MASCO, but this still did not solve the problem. They had to come 3 times to fix this and still were unable to. I was not refunded for the replaced parts which were useless to fix the problem. At the end, they stated it was the plug but they are not electricians, so they won't fix that. So I spent hundred of dollars for nothing. Each time they came they said it was fixed, just for it to stop working in one hour and I had to wait an extra week for them to come back. For the ice maker, they changed the device, I told the technician that it was dripping water, and never fixed it. Worst company ever, avoid them at all cost. Not reliable and they don't know what they are doing. Save yourself many headaches and your money. I will NEVER use them again.

Rick came out at the time promised. He promptly diagnosed the problem as due to a kink in the water supply line. The water supply line was made of plastic covered with a cloth material; it was builder grade installed by the builder. This originally installed line was a tad too short to allow for movement of the refrigerator and that is probably what disposed it to kink. Since the problem was in the water supply line to the refrigerator, Rick indicated that it would not be covered by KitchenAid. He quoted a fair price for repair. Rick recommended replacing the supply line with a stainless steel metal clad line which would not kink and which would also serve to have less propensity for leaking. He said these parts would need to be ordered. In the interim, he rerouted a line as an interim so we could use the refrigerator water dispenser and ice maker. When the part arrived, Masco promptly called and arranged a time for installation of the new metal water line.. Rick, the same individual as before, returned and installed the new part, carefully checked for correct operation and assured there were no leaks. He also realigned the refrigerator in the cabinetry. MASCO delivery super service, both their office scheduling personnel and the service person were highly professional, accomodating and clearly competent. I thought the cost was also very reasonable for two visits, travel, parts, and labor. We would gladly use them again.for any of our KitchenAid and other appliances.

They got themselves fired before they even started. My wife called them yesterday when our dryer stopped working. When she called them back today to zero in on the time. She was told she would get a call at 10:30 with the schedule of when they might come by. When my wife told her she needed to know more or less the time so that she could plan her day. (My wife being 8 months pregnant and having a doctor?s appointment for my two year old.) She was then told that ?there was nothing I can do I don?t have the schedule? it?s been done this way for 30 years? and that my wife could ?talk to the owner if we wanted to?. Needless to say I went on angieslist.com found another company and told these jokers good bye. I am old enough to know that the receptionist is the eyes into a company culture. And quite frankly I did not even want them in my home. Oh when I called and canceled let?s just say the receptionist was not all that friendly. I certainly felt that I had made the right choice. You can take my review with a grain of salt as I never even used them. But with so many other companies on Angie?s list with greater number of reviews and better ratings why take a chance..

My appointment was for 8am-12pm window. My wife had to take off work to meet the tech and just as every service tech in south florida, they were late. I got a call around 12pm and was told that my new service window was 1-3pm. 3:10 pm came and I called the company and I was told that, "he's in the area." The tech did arrive a few minutes later. WITH that behind me, the tech arrived and got right to work. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a switch that was cheap and fast to replace. He had the parts on hand and was done in no time flat. The price was reasonable, I just wish south Florida contractor could be a little more punctual. Add my wife's lost day of work to the above price and it was pretty expensive.

In the end we decided to replace the refrigerator since it was 13 yrs old. So basically just paid for the service call to check it out. The service man was very honest in saying that typically he would recommend getting a new refrigerator when the motor goes bad and it is so old, but being that ours was otherwise in such good condition, a new motor might be considered as well. But he definitely did not pressure me at all into a new motor. I felt he was very trustworthy.
Description of Work: Determined why refrigerator wasn't cooling. Needed a new motor. Gave me a reasonable price range for replacing/installing motor since overall refrigerator was in very good condiiton (can't remember exactly the price range now.)

I have two appliance issues that needed attention. My Bosch dryer was displaying a F:03 error code and the ice dispenser on the door of my KitchenAid refrigerator was not dispensing ice. Both appliances had been repaired/looked at by MASCO Appliance in May 2012. . The $200 cost displayed above was for the visit in May 2012. I phoned MASCO on Monday morning and although they could have come to my home the next day, my schedule did not permit that so, we agreed on an appointment for today. I stayed home from the office in order to have my appliances repaired. When Raphael, the service technician from MASCO, phoned this morning, he insisted that I needed to order a new door for my refrigerator which would cost at least $1,000. Based on a previous conversation with his manager, Rick, I asked him if they could replace only the motor. He assured me that this would not remedy the problem. I insisted on speaking with Rick who promptly phoned me back. Rick told me that they would order the motor for the ice dispenser. When I asked about the dryer he said that since they already replaced a switch last year (I believe it was a switch), I probably needed a new pump or floater. He said that they were going to order the parts and it would take a few weeks to get them in. He said that they would phone me when the parts arrived to set up another appointment. They provided me with this diagnosis even though they didn't come out and look at the appliances. Out of sheer frustration, I joined Angie's List. Based upon the comments on Angie's List, I phoned another appliance repair company who came to my home today and fixed both problems in less than an hour.

Rick was professional and competent. I would definitely call him again. Fortunately, I don't need him for the fridge. It is working perfectly.
Description of Work: The water dispenser on my KitchenAid fridge was leaking. Rick researched the problem and contacted specialists at Whirlpool to get the right parts. The fridge is older, so it was hard to find/get the parts from Whirlpool. He kept me informed throughout. As soon as he got the parts, he installed them. No problems.

I received written confirmation from Maytag Corp that my appliance was under factory warranty and that they had scheduled a service call between noon and 5:00 PM today .When I had not heard from MASCO Appliance's service person by 4:00 PM I called MASCO and was routed to their Customer Service department....who's representative said "...you are scheduled for tomorrow..:Clearly my worst thoughts were realized so I asked for a manager...I was put on hold and then was switched to dispatcher who basically said "your outta luck buddy"-I asked for a service call tonight," he said can't do"I said why not--he said "Your in Boynton Beach and we're in Ft. The customer was given a service date by Whirlpool customer service and apparently he misunderstood the date or he and whirlpool didnt agree on the date. We are dispatched calls via email from Whirlpool and have no input as to when they are scheduled. We offered to call this customer when on our way to the home so he wouldnt have to wait all afternoon. It wasnt accepted so we suggested he call Whirlpool back to fiind another company that could better suit his time constraints. We service approximatley 80-100 customers daily and value every single one. We thank the thousands of customers who have allowed us to help them and hope that Mr Glaser found a company that he could work with.

The washer was repaired. However, there was a $78.00 service call fee charged, which I was more than happy to pay. I had already removed the back of the washer myself to see if I could find the leak before I called for service (just in case it was only a loose hose or something minor like that). I saw that the leak was a in a part that had to be replaced. The technician arrived promptly, inspected the leak and told me he would have to come back with the part another day- he would try his suppliers to see if it was local or had to be ordered. I asked him at that time if he would charge me another service call fee. He said "No, we charge that the first time just in case the customer does not want the work done." H called me the next day and said he found the part and could install it the next day. The part was $66.00, and it would be another hourly charge of $60.00 to install it. When I remined him that he said he would not charge me for another service call, his reply was, "This is not a service call, it is the houly rate for work." It sounded like double speak to me, just another way to charge me extra. If I had known that the original $78.00 service fee was not going to cover any of the work performed, I probably would have found someone else to do the work. Overall, the work was done properly, the technician was polite, and my washer now runs great. I just wish that the fees had been discussed up front before he came to do the orignal service call.

We charge a service charge which is also called a trip fee which covers the intial diagnosis. The balance of the repair is for parts and the labor to install the parts. In the 40 yrs I've owned my company I have found this to be the fairest, most honest way to charge for repairs. Many companies play a scam of saying they dont charge service fee if work is done, only to double the parts and triple the labor. Our repairs average 20 % lower than the companies that use the "Blue" book approach. Knowledgable customers have found this to be true. We are factory authorized and have the manufacturers looking over our shoulders to make sure we treat our customers fairly.

When I called for service they had someone scheduled to come the next day. They said he'd call between 10 and 10:30 to confirm a window of time to come by the house: he called right on time, arrived in the window, and completed the work in the allotted time frame. After opening up the machine and reviewing the technical manual he pretty quickly came to the conclusion that the problem was the water flow meter/controller. He had the part on hand in his truck. After replacing the part he stuck around long enough into a wash cycle to make sure this was really going to resolve the problem. Overall the quality of service was very good and very professional - I'd call them again.

They were responsive on the phone and showed up on time. The work is fine. HOWEVER, they charge a $40 fee just to walk in the door and on top of that they charge a $30/hour fee for labor. So for them to repair the belt on my dryer( an $18 part), I paid $125. That's just too much. They would not even entertain the idea that the electrical panel on the stove could be fixed, rather than replaced, even though the info I printed for them from the internet said the problem was common in my Kenmore stove and an easy fix. Regardless, the stove now works, so that's good.
